One for each enemy race :)
1. We have eliminated all of the Cabal command in our system, and messages have been sent to their Empire in deep space. Oh, and what was sent here was just the tip of the spear, a beach head that belies their true power.
2. Grimoire records allude to a god that Oryx served. While this could simply be rhe Darkness, there is a good chance that it is another entity entirely. If so, he will not be happy that his greatest worshiper has been killed, and will likely retaliate.
3. While the Fallen seem to be stalled and hopeless, Variks is undeniably working at strings behind the Reef's back. His words and definitely show a burning passion to bring the House of Judgement back to power and drag the Fallen out of their downcast existence and back to glory.
4. The Vex have been defeated repeatedly by the Tower's forces, leading to over-confidence among the guardians. But what is defeat to a race that can manipulate time itself? The constant and dreadful question will hang in the air forever: are we truly stopping them, or simply playing into their intricate design? All that we have done could very well be for naught.
I hope this post sparks some interest for everyone!
Edit: I'm so glad that so many people have actually responded to this. I was sure that my post was gonna get lost and die in a sea of nerf posts. Yet, lo and behold, we got this baby trending!
Thank u to everyone that has put in their opinion and their insight. Keep the ideas rolling.
Edit: You guys are blowing my mind with ideas. I'm learning alot from different people and hearing awesome theories. I think this is what bungie really envisioned from this game. :)
Edit: I'm going to add some things that people have brought to my attention that really are major points.
1. We have yet to truly understand the Nine. While they seem to help us, there is so little we know. We've never seen them, we don't know where they are, we don't know who they are, and they crave an item (Strange Coins) that seemingly has no use to us, and they will gladly give extremely rare equipment for them.
2. We have yet to face a true embodiment of the Darkness, or have an understanding of what it really is. We have killed it's minions left and right but what will we do when it comes after us to stop us itself? And on what plane could such a battle be fought?
3. Eris..... she is just one creepy bitch. She quite obviously has hidden motives and agendas that do not in any way seem good for the Tower. It will be interesting to see what all of this leads to when her plans become unveiled.
Btw, this is by far to best quote ever from the Book of Sorrows.
"This is your god. It is never ticklish."

I'm like 90% sure that variks and Eris morn are going to be villains.
-
The nine refer to the exotics as "trash" to them if I remember correctly...
-
Hey, um, why didn't they use the Restorative Mind to bring back Atheon?
-
Oh and fallen are awesome, assholes yes, but awesome. Hopefully we come together in a big orgy of awesome.

Finally, a great lore post. Havent seen a good'n since the kabr/vog days. Good job op!

Bearbeitet von Kurumi : 10/8/2015 1:31:52 PMThe memory ghosts in the secret Paradox mission have stated A: the Vex have predicted their own extinction, they know it's coming B: Oryx served the Worm God's, literally massive worms. The Dreadnought is actually the hollowed out carcass of the Worm God Akka C: another one of the memory ghosts in the secret Paradox mission describe the Eliksni (Fallen) home world when they had the Traveler. It's quite a beautiful picture, and I do hope the Fallen succeed in coming back together. Guardians and Fallen are one in the same really
Also, Eris is a sexy bitch. Id tap that 10/10
1 AntwortenSorry to bust your bubble. But this "God" you say that oryx worshipped was the worm Akka, and oryx killed it.
-
Don't forget about toland. I'm pretty sure he wants to take Oryx's place and become the new taken king
-
4 AntwortenI assure you that the big mighty Cabal king is a extremely small Psion with god-like psychic abilities hiding in a gigantic suit of armor.
-
3 spooky 4 me O_O
-
Im almost 1000% sure the "god" oryx worshipped was the worm akka that he shared a symbiotic relationship with. He kills akka though before making his final rise in power to the taken king.
-
Good analysis

I got one. Should be worried about the path bungivision is headed. Soon you'll be able to buy the gear you want instead of playing to get it.
-
1 AntwortenIm worried that the worst enemy yet to come is the velociraptor holding two Ak47 while riding a laser shooting shark or as he's called, Gaben

As for 3, House Judgement was always about keeping the Houses together, to keep the records and history and all of that. Of course Variks wants to reunite the Houses, it's what his job was since before the Whirlwind.
-
Remember in Shield Brothers. They got commands from something outside our solar systems.
-
3 AntwortenAs per number 3, I'm kinda hoping that Varriks is prepping to rebuild House Judgement and in bring Fallen to become guardians. That'd be wicked awesome. But its far too easy to turn him into a bad guy, so that will more than likely be the case... Sadness...

3 AntwortenInteresting thing to me is that in the secret future section of Paradox, we see 'The end of the Vex, their final, immutable future' (or something to that effect), but in that future, the Vex are all Taken. So, presumably another entity has the power to 'take' beings. Maybe the darkness itself, maybe a relative of Oryx.

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von Owen: 9/25/2015 7:52:21 PMThe Kings fall grimoire card says we may have killed oryx, but we have no way of ensuring another being, possibly one of Oryx's siblings, doesn't take command of the dreadnought and continue the hive assault. On top of that, there's a theory that the Vex are only keeping the Guardians around because only we could defeat the hive. Well, we just killed their god. Even if no one else takes over for oryx and we purge the hive from the Sol System, we may be screwed. Also there is strong evidence that Rasputin was the one who crippled the traveler during the collapse. He did so to keep it from abandoning humanity like it has previous civilizations it visited. So the traveler could very well be pissed off, and if it wakes it may decide to seek revenge against Rasputin. And then boom--a god vs super weapon war breaks out right on Earth. Sweet dreams, Guardians. ;) Oh yeah, here's the reddit link where I found all this stuff. It has specific grimoire cards cited in it.

2 AntwortenOryx is a TERRIBLE dad. He let Crota die and he didnt do shit when we were killing his daughters! He couldve done something but no, all he did was fap to a picture of Ir Yut....
-
I love how the cabal smash a ship into the dreadnaught but the awoken fleet gets slaughtered lol, the cabal are thugs for sure
-
2 AntwortenHeres a quote from the strike specific drop machine gun: Baron's Ambition: "To crack open that depraved Earth-Servitor. To use its secrets to reclaim the Great Machine.." - Translated from Fallen Language Earth-Servitor refering to Rasputin? The Great Machine to the Traveler? Who ever the Baron is, is it the ambition of the entire Fallen race? Or just a single House.

Oryx worshipped the worm god Akka.... Then he killed his sisters to gain power from them, and he used that power to kill Akka. He does follow the Darkness (The Deep), because his worm tells him that they are working toward a final perfect form for the universe (if you are killed, you deserved it and are not a part of the "perfect" universe).

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von EpitomeofLowQuality: 9/25/2015 11:38:45 PMOryx would actually have been a pretty cool guy after we beat him if it wasn't for him winning being a condition for him to live. He even said himself that he wasn't sure that the Hive way was the right way, and that if someone beat him, he'd understand that the Hive way wasn't the answer. It's his sisters we have to be afraid of. Savathûn is a backstabbing bitch and Xivu Arath has some serious anger issues. Wish we could have gotten to chill with Oryx, instead of him being, you know, dead and shit.
-
5 AntwortenYou should add that the cabal attacked oryx in order to learn how to kill guardians. I think that's the scariest thing
-
4 AntwortenOne more thing. Uldren Sov is still alive (queens brother) he is on Mars. If he is now the rightful ruler of the awoken, his anti-guardian attitude could spell trouble for the city. It's also a possibility that he blames Eris, as she is the one who convinced the queen to take action against Oryx. If he can somehow reach the reef, or perhaps even the city, he could prove to be a powerful ally, or more worryingly, a fearsome enemy.
