Why "Shindig in the Crucible" is the hardest quest ever.
If you're a completionist like me, or if your just curious about this then alright. So if you haven't gotten it yet, there's a quest that Amanda Holliday will give you eventually rewarding you with "The Chaperone". Step 1 is to kill enemies with The Last Word to boost reputation with Tex Machinima. What sucks is that that gun has been nerfed. I mean it's miserable. If you use certain perks, stability is equivalent to Ill Will! You also need over a 1.0 kd ratio or you lose points. I literally cried when my 42% went to 2% in the same match. I am so angry. It's like an arbitrary system. If anyone knows tips on this. PLEASE LET ME KNOW. Thanks and have an awesome day!

Just equip it when your super is charged.get as many kills as you can when (hopefully four to 6 or 7) unequip when u die and if your about to win a match equip it quick before the end and you steal 3% I believe

Just got mine today. It sucks pretty bad in PvE. I have heard it is hardly worth the trouble in crucible.

3 AntwortenHere is the thing while tlw is equipped use your sniper or heavy, then in equip it and you will not lose % complete it only adds and takes away % complete while tlw his currently equipped, but you do NOT not to get the kills with tlw only while it is equipped

What sux is chaperone is not that great looks cool and has flip effect but that about it was total letdown for me

10 easy tips to get the quest done. #1 Always hipfire TLW, ADS sucks with this weapon and it's range is horrible now. By getting precision hits while hipfiring you will do increased damage for a fast kill. #2 Never dive right in. No blue dots on your schreen? GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE! #3 Try getting easy kills by following your teammates and being their wingmen. This will decrease the chance of receiving damage and will also grant the chance of a free and easy kill. #4 Headshots give 2%, matches won can maybe add 3% (I'm not sure) and multikills can add multiple points from 3 or 5 up to 20% (10 kills in one life). #5 You can use every single tactic in killing your opponents to receive points, as long as you wear a TLW. #6 CQB maps are your best friend while long range maps are horrible when using a TLW, except if you're really good at sniping. #7 Use the benefit of people not using the second tip as it's really easy to get a kill when you're on top of an elevated area and someone jumps up which will give the oppurtunity for an easy shotgun kill. #8 Heavy ammo incoming!? Get that heavy and stay in the back. If you have a good heavy you'll reap the rewards when everyone has gone trough their heavy weapon ammo. I've gotten that killing spree of 10 kills by using my machinegun in controll matches. #9 Control is your best bet. Because of the objectives you'll have a better chance at scoring kills. The concentration of players is so different in control that you can easily pick of stragglers who only focus on killing rather than capturing points (you're also one of them) and by using your super on teams that are capturing anpoint to get a nice multikill. Do get those CP's since a win will also add points to your quest. #10 Always stay calm. A few days ago I could not go past 20% and I hated it, untill strangely enough I got to 33% in a single game after being tired from work. That night I was so calm and by using the tips above I got to 100% in just 1 and a half hours with a k/d up to 5. Hopefully this will help those that want the quest done.

I did it in 3 games of rumble how is that quest so hard???? I seriously don't understand... I find it harder to farm materials for the stupid exotic sword quest.

That was me last night! I went from 91% to 64% but this morning I managed to finish it by playing skirmish, such a fun game mode. Don't do mayhem, it will drop you like a ton of bricks.

You don't have to get kills with the gun. All you have to do is have it equipped, all other guns in inventory count towards the quest, even your supers and grenades count.

7 AntwortenHow does the point system even work for this quest? Had 2 games this morning that finished with me having a 1.5+ kd on both which put me at 5%. Next game I performed the same. Maybe slightly better and ended up back at 0%. Can anybody shed some light? I know the quest says kills with TLW equipped, does that mean I have to get kills with it or just while it's on my character?

Play defensive. Camping the spark area in Rift is nice due to where the spark is usually placed (high traffic areas) Don't go aggressive ballistics. The damage is not worth the range reduction. You do more damage over range without it. Don't go full auto unless necessary. This will cause your recoil to go crazy. I believe it is a 3 shot body shot most of the time Don't be afraid to ADS occasionally. TLW is better hip-fired, but sometimes at range ADSing helps get your accuracy And lastly, stay at it guardian

1 AntwortenIt's hard for me because I am a very inconsistent player. I can rattle off three matches of 2.5 k/d in a row just to go 0.33 on the next and lose all my progress.

All you need to do is have it equipped. Equip a different gun but when heavy rolls around equip last word. Then unequip when out of heavy.

Mine was over 1.0 and I lost points. Figure that out. 32% finished went 12-8 28% at the end of the match.

I did it in 2 matches. I honestly don't see what the big deal is about this quest

Just unequip title for most of the round and when heavy or your special is ready equip it. Progress is only made and lost with it on and this method maximizes your kill potential while minuting losing progress. The kills do not need to be from tlw
