You're Cartman. You're breaking the rules, but since nobody can punish you for it, you're claiming it's all good.
After they patch your garbage, will it be cheating then?
Cozmo has flat out told us this excessive behavior is getting the loot items nerfed, so is it really so important to try and ruin the new content so soon after it comes out? Trials got cancelled because kids couldn't resist abusing the Shadowshot glitch.
"I didn't break the rules, Bungie didn't make the rules well enough!!" - Glitchingkid
People make choices. Choosing to abuse this glitch is getting the ToC item nerfed, normal players will not get to use the item in its current strength, because of people choosing to abuse this glitch, it's not being smart, being smart would be keeping it a secret, reporting it to Bungie and not destroying the loot system, did you notice how dry the loot system was after they did the "loot cave" nerfs? Who suffered? Not anyone who abused the cave, they had what they wanted, the people who suffered were the normal players who played normal content with reduced drops. Who will be affected most by the ToC nerf? Players who don't cheat, players who did not seek out cheese, and regular players who just play, who now all have a nerfed ToC item to play with, thanks to other people's actions. Who has been affected by Shadowshot abuse? Everyone who played Iron Banner or planned on playing Trials.
Edit: How to prevent this in the future: Have a team of 12 year olds dive into the games in a sealed server 30 days before each patch release, kids love cheating, they'll ferret out every nook and despicable cranny, use it on eachother till cheese runs from their ears, then the devs can use that data to publish a finished version...
Wait... damn child labor laws...
Edit 2:
So for all the kids making semantic arguments, "it's not cheating, it's a glitch/exploit, etc..." I'll use the Mike Judge classic, Office Space.
Ron Livingston: "So tonight we're gonna go use this trick to get free loot."
Jennifer Aniston: "So you're cheating? That's nice."
Ron Livingston: "No, it's not cheating, it's complicated, there's this flaw in the game, and we're going to exploit it to get extra stuff."
Jennifer Aniston: "So you're going to get a lot of stuff in the game." Yeah "Stuff that's normally hard to get." Yeah "And you don't have to actually play the game normally, just keep sitting in that spot?" Yeah. "So you're cheating."
Lovely lady, so smart.
Next time someone tells you they know of a loot glitch, tell them it's cheating and they shouldn't use it, and that they should report it to Bungie instead.
Don’t cheat or tamper. For example, don't:
Use unauthorized hardware or software
Exploit game vulnerabilities or glitches
Make unauthorized modifications to your account profile or its contents (e.g., tenure, Avatar, game saves, Gamerscore, achievements)
Intentionally play with someone who is using unauthorized software or methods
Or the PSN Equivalent.
Please note that it says, "Don't exploit game vulnerabilities or glitches" not "Only exploit game vulnerabilities and glitches that don't directly impact another player."
You do not own Destiny. You paid for the rights to access software called "Destiny", and agreed to use that software in compliance with the terms and conditions of Bungie and your chosen gaming service. That's not an exaggeration at all, this is a 100% fact.
Edit 3 That Kids Won't Read: I am mocking you, every reply, every copy paste, every stale your mom joke, is practically automatic at this point, this isn't a conversation or an argument, it's a statement of fact, you are cheating trash, period. Don't like it? Cry about it here and call me names.
Edit 4: 3500 replies later, wow, kids really do get mad when called out for behaving badly, reminds me of that commercial where the little girl goes into the freezer for a popsicle and Dad walks over, before he can say a word, she immediately just starts screaming at the top of her lungs, and he turns around and walks away saying "Okay! Okay!"
Sorry kids, but it's never ok to cheat, that's why it's called "cheating" :)

LOLOLOL OP is getting very mad. Even though Bungie already gave the okay to use the Coins all we want, he still thinks we are somehow breaking the system and cheating and glitching. Wow, OP is salty as -blam!-.
-
Dude just needs a reason to think he can look down on the people who constantly look down on him cause he's bad at crucible or in other words bad at the game

4 AntwortenIts not an exploit by any means. Farming is a legitimate strategy in any game! If they didn't want to give use exotics, they'd completely remove them all together. Farming is farming if no game breaking glitches are done. This isn't game breaking, nor is this a glitch. I've talked to Microsoft over the phone already about this, the nice man told me "it's totally fine to use a farming spot. Unless you are interfering with others gaming, or your breaking the game through glitches". Bungie made them like that, get over it. TL;DR: isn't an exploit, get over yourself. Not everyone have 24 hours a day to play and grind.

11 AntwortenI love it when MORONIC IDIOTS use what Cosmo said to back up their argument. Tell me, did you ACTUALLY see what he said? He said to take advantage of this while we can because we EARNED the strange coins. I bet it makes you so butthurt knowing that you don't have the exotics I do ;)

I still don't know where this loot cave is, so if somebody could let me know I'll go investigate and return with my report.

Bungie and all you cry babies need to take a damn note from Value "If we didnt make it right and theres a bug exploit it its our fault its there and your gain play how you want not how we think you should." Grow up if bungie was as fast to patch things as normal MMO'S itd of been patched last Sunday. I have played loads of MMO'S if they hear of a game breaking or ruining exploit they patch it in a few hours. Thats being ontop of your game something bungie isnt when it comes to fixes errors they didnt forsee. So please everyone quit crying already. A 290 exotic in the hands of a n00b is as useful as a 190 green.

christ, why does everyone act like white knights when it comes to this stuff.

You care too much about other people.

Umm.. cartmans the man, so I don't see a problem here, you should aspire to be more like him, though you'd prob have to lose some weight to only be moderately obese

4 AntwortenNobody's gonna give a shit about what you say, they're gonna use this method regardless lol.

11 AntwortenIt not cheating it's farming

13 AntwortenBearbeitet von cViking: 9/22/2015 11:41:56 AMLOL, people who do this is not cheating and I will explain why. Just playing the game normal I get 3 or 4 exotic engrams to drop with out farming it. So by the time the weekend was over and had more then half of every year 2 exotic. The material in itself is broken, I feel like the three of coins either needs to have a lower drop rate or just make it so you cant stack them. I would stack 3 of them and it seemed every 3 or 4 ultra kills would drop an exotic engram. IMO the whole Three of coins should just be removed, it honestly was just a bad idea in general. Also you cannot tell me this never crossed Bungie's mind when they were working to add this in to the game. You would have to think at lest one person would of though hey if we give people an option at increased exotics players will just play easy missions/ bosses over and over to get tons of drops.
-
All they should do is put a 5 minute timer on it like everything else. Then it would work like they wanted it to.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Nethrinox: 9/22/2015 4:22:11 PMDid you forget that we live in a capitalistic society that encourages everyone to lie, cheat, steal, and extort each other to get ahead? The players are simply working in a free market and employing the skills this country has taught them. Oh, and stop crying about it. How does it effect your game in any way? No tears please. It's a waste of good suffering.

It's not cheating. It's not an exploit. It's not even a glitch. It's a method to fight a mini boss who was given the same drops as normal bosses. It's their screw up if anything.

Human nature. You can't fix "people".

Here's something for ya, it's not cheating, that's what the coins are for, it's a method of using them

So whats going to happen when they patch it are they taking them away for good ? I hopw not plus i dodnt even get a chance to do this farming as xur was gone when i got back :( not fair lol i hope we can still use them
