You're Cartman. You're breaking the rules, but since nobody can punish you for it, you're claiming it's all good.
After they patch your garbage, will it be cheating then?
Cozmo has flat out told us this excessive behavior is getting the loot items nerfed, so is it really so important to try and ruin the new content so soon after it comes out? Trials got cancelled because kids couldn't resist abusing the Shadowshot glitch.
"I didn't break the rules, Bungie didn't make the rules well enough!!" - Glitchingkid
People make choices. Choosing to abuse this glitch is getting the ToC item nerfed, normal players will not get to use the item in its current strength, because of people choosing to abuse this glitch, it's not being smart, being smart would be keeping it a secret, reporting it to Bungie and not destroying the loot system, did you notice how dry the loot system was after they did the "loot cave" nerfs? Who suffered? Not anyone who abused the cave, they had what they wanted, the people who suffered were the normal players who played normal content with reduced drops. Who will be affected most by the ToC nerf? Players who don't cheat, players who did not seek out cheese, and regular players who just play, who now all have a nerfed ToC item to play with, thanks to other people's actions. Who has been affected by Shadowshot abuse? Everyone who played Iron Banner or planned on playing Trials.
Edit: How to prevent this in the future: Have a team of 12 year olds dive into the games in a sealed server 30 days before each patch release, kids love cheating, they'll ferret out every nook and despicable cranny, use it on eachother till cheese runs from their ears, then the devs can use that data to publish a finished version...
Wait... damn child labor laws...
Edit 2:
So for all the kids making semantic arguments, "it's not cheating, it's a glitch/exploit, etc..." I'll use the Mike Judge classic, Office Space.
Ron Livingston: "So tonight we're gonna go use this trick to get free loot."
Jennifer Aniston: "So you're cheating? That's nice."
Ron Livingston: "No, it's not cheating, it's complicated, there's this flaw in the game, and we're going to exploit it to get extra stuff."
Jennifer Aniston: "So you're going to get a lot of stuff in the game." Yeah "Stuff that's normally hard to get." Yeah "And you don't have to actually play the game normally, just keep sitting in that spot?" Yeah. "So you're cheating."
Lovely lady, so smart.
Next time someone tells you they know of a loot glitch, tell them it's cheating and they shouldn't use it, and that they should report it to Bungie instead.
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/legal/codeofconduct
Don’t cheat or tamper. For example, don't:
Use unauthorized hardware or software
Exploit game vulnerabilities or glitches
Make unauthorized modifications to your account profile or its contents (e.g., tenure, Avatar, game saves, Gamerscore, achievements)
Intentionally play with someone who is using unauthorized software or methods
Or the PSN Equivalent.
Please note that it says, "Don't exploit game vulnerabilities or glitches" not "Only exploit game vulnerabilities and glitches that don't directly impact another player."
You do not own Destiny. You paid for the rights to access software called "Destiny", and agreed to use that software in compliance with the terms and conditions of Bungie and your chosen gaming service. That's not an exaggeration at all, this is a 100% fact.
Edit 3 That Kids Won't Read: I am mocking you, every reply, every copy paste, every stale your mom joke, is practically automatic at this point, this isn't a conversation or an argument, it's a statement of fact, you are cheating trash, period. Don't like it? Cry about it here and call me names.
Edit 4: 3500 replies later, wow, kids really do get mad when called out for behaving badly, reminds me of that commercial where the little girl goes into the freezer for a popsicle and Dad walks over, before he can say a word, she immediately just starts screaming at the top of her lungs, and he turns around and walks away saying "Okay! Okay!"
Sorry kids, but it's never ok to cheat, that's why it's called "cheating" :)

3 AntwortenBoy, they gave us the three of coins. Course I'm gonna use it how I want to and how I want to is to farm for exotics.
-
My drop rates blow so I say its fine Ive gotten 6 exotics outta 80 coins so.... Must be doing something wrong eh I say its fine the way it is
-
1 AntwortenI used the glitch. Felt dirty, but kinda good. Got 1 "Hereafter", then 3 "impossible machines" in a row (already had a set). figured that was payback, called it quits. Is it an exploit? Sure. Is it wrong? Probably not. "You earned your Strange Coins, enjoy them." I saved some coins ... no telling when they might come in handy.

8 AntwortenShould I admit we’ve made mistakes? Should I remind you we’ve done this before? What should I do.

12 AntwortenI see you're doing better. You do realize it wasn't an exploit it glitch? The numbers they put behind the three of coins were exactly the numbers they chose. There wasn't another part of the code that messed with them or changed them. No glitch. I'm sure you're still going to argue, but there are still people that swear that the earth is flat.

11 AntwortenBearbeitet von Evil ATF: 10/3/2015 10:07:24 AMQuote for the class where a Bungie rep stated that they were nerfing the Year Two exotics over this. Cite your source with a link. No? Then shut your mouth.

1 Antwortenhate kids? that's how you know knot to give this guy any attention
-
1 AntwortenBy the way you are acting, in my professional opinion, you are in the middle of a stroke. Get emergency assistance immediately.
-
1 AntwortenWait what about play station code of conduct does it say the same thing? (Probably yes but still I would like to know) oh and also are you happy the exploit got nerfed?
-
Something about rules.
-
Cartman's awesome
-
All beware the video game equivalent of an SJW. One day he shall be a boss in a game where he is only beatable through a glitch or exploit. Probably will be in the next south park game hahaha

Are there meds that you haven't been taking, or have taken way to much of?
-
Boy scout, much?

11 AntwortenThe engram drop rate is going to be nerfed or modified Same as the old loot cave Sorry kid No justice for you
-
When will it be nerfed or is it already nerfed
-
24 AntwortenSeriously, you must be 13 yourself, because you really stuck hard to that number 12...
-
Everyone having the new gear didn't ruin it. Bungie is just upset because now we don't all need to spend days and days grinding other activities to get gear that eventually at some point we will all get.

14 AntwortenPSN and Xbox Live hold no grounds over Destiny whatsoever, so stop using it as some kind of argument,
-
1 AntwortenThat code of conduct quote you put at the end doesn't apply... Nothing was modified. In fact I don't even thing the 3oC problem is a glitch, Bungie just didn't account for people being able to face ultras in quick succession like they can.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von UnleashedArcher: 9/22/2015 8:55:04 PM*facepalm* Bungie introduced a new item in the game that increases drop rates. They did not properly test the drop rates of exotic engrams. The community found a way to use that item in the most beneficial way possible. The only reason they are patching it is because they didn't know it was going to do what it did. Lack of planning on Bungie's part. Do you want Bungie to remove all the checkpoints from the story, would that make you happy? Stop being a whiny little bitch and sack up.
-
I didn't read all of it but it isn't really "exploiting" because you just use the coin, kill the boss and kill yourself with it, which makes the game think that you've actually died so you get to restart the checkpoint and you just use a coin again. So.. Not really exploiting imo. Not saying that i'm using the glitch but i've seen vids of it on youtube.

1 Antworten:( I didn't get to exploit it
