This is why we can't have nice things.
It took less than 8 hours for you people to find a way to exploit and abuse a new item. An item that was meant to be able to alleviate some of the RNG hardships from year 1.
What do you idiots do?
You use it to burn through as many Exotics as you possible can with no patience or anything resembling effort or skill. You use it to completely undermine the loot system and the grind. Which is the ENTIRE point of the game.
In just 12 hours the majority of you have used this exploit to get almost every single exotic that can be achieved via drop.
So what happens in 2 weeks when you have everything and there is nothing to work for? You are gonna come to the forums and bitch that there is nothing to do or that you just keep getting things you already have.
Well no shit Sherlock you just burned through ALL of the potential exotics in 4 days due to your own impatience.

You aren't supposed to have everything this quickly. The content is meant to last for MONTHS not weeks and you idiots have burned through the thing that is meant to keep you going.
The Grind.
By taking away the carrot from the end of your stick you have removed one of biggest incentives that you had for playing the content and enjoying. You have gotten everything without effort or sense of achievement.
So not only do you have everything now, but you can't even appropriately appreciate it because you didn't do anything to get it in the first place.

So now in a matter of days when they nerf this item into the dirt (You know they will) you all are going to cry bitch and moan in puddles of tears and piss because "Why are you nerfing everything?" or "We aren't allowed to have fun?"
You idiots will have no one to blame but yourselves.
As for those of us who have not purchased TTK yet or are refusing to use the exploit. You can thank all of those idiots for ruining yet another part of the game with their laziness, stupidity and childish impatience.

Tldr all of that but did read enough to get your complaint, but that's exactly what I did, because all my old exotics were left behind and i dont feel like waiting 3 months for drops and enough marks to rebuy them at y2 levels. So poo on your face lol I'm ahead 50+ engrams 💕💕💕thanks draxis

I used the coins and received my Jade Rabbit and Titan helms, I honestly could have kept going as I have plenty of strange coins but decided to hold off. I'm not ashamed but happy I have the main gun I wanted. I still have plenty of items I seek though so while grinding for the rest I can use my Jade Rabbit while doing so.

I feel like it's taken the excitement out of the long term playability with The Taken King. In a month, many people who have every exotic that can come from engrams will start complaining about how bored they are, or somethings that's wrong with the game lol. At least play strikes when you use these...it's more rewarding in the end

Playing destiny is like doing drugs, seeing those purple and gold balls fly out of a dead boss is like tasting that sweet sweet crack. However, similarly to doing drugs doing it too much too quick burns you out and is no longer as enjoyable. But if you space it out, like only popping a coin for heroic strikes or nighfalls then you will continue to enjoy the sweet crack for weeks to come. I don't care if other people burn themselves out on this game immediately I'm going to enjoy it. I'm just glad it probably wont take 11 months to get all the exotics.

The one thing i hate most about these exploits is that it takes all the mysticism out of the rare items. No longer do you go to the tower and see a random guy in the corner with a bad ass chest piece you've never seen before that spurs you to want to acquire it or find where it's from. Now EVERY random guy has said chest piece on and every other piece of cool equipment. No more unique people, just a herd of impatient sheep.

I don't know about anyone else but I didnt ruin anything for myself, I made it so much better. Friday was the most fun ive had in Destiny probably since VoG, sure I wont have to grind for exotics as much but that doesnt mean ill quit. I like Destiny and regardless of whether or not I need a few exotics im likely going to play. I enjoy raiding or playing crucible with my clan, we have fun together and even if we have no reason to do something we will do it for shits and giggles. Even if I did quit as long as I enjoyed my time does it really matter how long I played? Also who the hell are you to tell anyone how to play? I dont bitch to you about how you dont get the exotics fast enough, so any one that plays with you is gonna have to wait for you to play catch up. I dont say that stuff because it would be -blam!-ing stupid and frankly I don't care how you choose to play, it doesnt change my gameplay in the slightest. You enjoy your destiny ill enjoy mine, everyone doesnt have to play the exact same way, if we did there would be one gun, one class, and one map to play on.
