This is why we can't have nice things.
It took less than 8 hours for you people to find a way to exploit and abuse a new item. An item that was meant to be able to alleviate some of the RNG hardships from year 1.
What do you idiots do?
You use it to burn through as many Exotics as you possible can with no patience or anything resembling effort or skill. You use it to completely undermine the loot system and the grind. Which is the ENTIRE point of the game.
In just 12 hours the majority of you have used this exploit to get almost every single exotic that can be achieved via drop.
So what happens in 2 weeks when you have everything and there is nothing to work for? You are gonna come to the forums and bitch that there is nothing to do or that you just keep getting things you already have.
Well no shit Sherlock you just burned through ALL of the potential exotics in 4 days due to your own impatience.

You aren't supposed to have everything this quickly. The content is meant to last for MONTHS not weeks and you idiots have burned through the thing that is meant to keep you going.
The Grind.
By taking away the carrot from the end of your stick you have removed one of biggest incentives that you had for playing the content and enjoying. You have gotten everything without effort or sense of achievement.
So not only do you have everything now, but you can't even appropriately appreciate it because you didn't do anything to get it in the first place.

As for those of us who have not purchased TTK yet or are refusing to use the exploit. You can thank all of those idiots for ruining yet another part of the game with their laziness, stupidity and childish impatience.

Idk about you but getting the guns isn't the fun part. It's USING them. So getting the guns faster doesn't ruin anything for me just makes it more fun since i can use more guns. Didn't get much though =/ only exotic i care about are from quests or I'm not sure how to get em.

I was on the fence about TTK. When I watched twitch of the raid, read more reviews I was close to buying it. When the 3 of coins was sold? Yup, I bought 20 of those Saturday night then bought ttk sunday. So yes, it really ruined the game. ....... Now there's one extra person in a lobby or in a recruiting post that there wouldn't have been. I like farming for loot but this time I don't have NEAR the time to grind and ill b left far behind when I finally hit 290 and I can raid. Any advantage I can get is helpful. I don't understand people like you. I didn't mess up your game, neither did anyone else. Why are you mad?

People who grind to me are pointless why I'm a year one player and about a week before taken king dlc came out I was finally got my titan geared it took me a year u know why because I took my sweet time. People who grind want it to be easy for them just like in heroic strikes they join than they leave because I don't like this one or this is to hard they want it easy well just a FYI its not easy I've played rpgs my whole life and I explore everything there is in the game that's how u get to know the game so why grind to be the best who the -blam!- cares its a game its meant to be fun not a competition they got nothing to blame but themselves point made said and done

2 AntwortenI fail to see how anything I or anyone else does affects your enjoyment of the game. Those exotics we farmed will be of little consequence in pvp, as legendaries tend to trump them in the long run. As for people having more exotics in pve, well I would assume that would be benificial to you, as you'll likely need some of those players to play by your side in some context. As for instant gratification removing the desire to continue playing the game for months on end, I had all exotic weapons and armor by 800 hours, but I continued to play for a total of 2100 hours plus before TTK dropped. It's usually the repetitive nature of a game that makes people fall off. Did you ever cheese any part of VOG or Crota? If you say you didn't, I know you're lying. You exploited a Game mechanic to expedite a result. It's all the same, but some people want to bash others for doing the same behavior. Play the game and enjoy it how you see fit brother, but don't Hate on others for playing their way. It shows your maturity, or the lack thereof. Why arent you complaining about how quickly people cab level up now. Do you even remember the struggle to get VOG armor or crota armor via RNG, and then spend weeks farming ascendant or radiant material from the raids just to upgrade. I have a friend who bought the game 3 Days before HOW, and he was level 34 two days after it dropped. Anyhow, either spend your days worrying about what everyone else is doing, or spend them enjoying what your doing. RESPECT.

I can see the point of your discussion because I am the type who has always had to earn everything I've gotten. However sense the release of TTK I've noticed that the exotics dropped are relatively vanilla. They are all pretty and shiny and new but none of them seem to stand out.. I think bungie knew these RNG exotics would eventually be gotten by everyone quickly (albeit not this quickly).. The addition of the strike unique weapons and more challenging exotic bounties is where they put the time into because regardless of any loot cave these would HAVE to be earned and I believe these will be the true "most wanted" weapons and I agree with this system.. In my mind it's a combination of both worlds... You have your RNGesus people who have everything handed to them by just joining late in a game that would be satisfied but you also have "earned" weapons for those skilled enough to get them, having something the unskilled lucky ones may not get. Thus establishing diversity. Yes there has been mistakes and yes this game has been exploited but all in all it is just paths to making a better game.. TTK is a better step to a better destiny and hopefully they can continue this path so these problems won't be an issue in the future

4 AntwortenI've said it once and I'll likely have to say this several more times. Bungie patching this is stupid. It is a non issue since it doesn't impact anyone but the people using it. There is no economy to wreck and so far no single exotic seems to offer a distinct advantage over the other and even if it does that's a weapon balance issue not a drop rate issue. This is just Bungie being mad because we aren't playing as intended so they want to take their ball and go home. I wish developers would get over this. Bungie is not alone in this. If you give us an open world game with multiple progression paths we will eventually find one you didn't intend. If you freak out and patch it into oblivion then why bother with an open world? Just make all progression linear on a single path and you don't have to worry. If you make an open world then I feel like you are obligated to let people play as they wish provided it doesn't violate ToS or have a negative impact on the game or the playerbase.

If bungie didn't want this to happen they should have made it strike/ raid specific, they have known us for a year now so it's their fault that they keep underestimating the community. And honestly if you think about it these things are good for the game, it forces or will force them to look at how they integrate stuff more, and should mean we get a better product. I say take advantage of it whilst it's here, show them their faults and hopefully they will stop making them.

After reading some of the replies, I'm sensing some people are missing the point. The convenience of three of coins is fine, the second loot cave is not. So thanks for screwing it for all of us I guess. (I too am guilty of this, but I only ever got Hawkmoon and Ruin Wings multiple times when I tried the exploit.)

I could not care less if they burn through them, I do care that they come bitch when they get all the stuff already and whine that there is nothing to get. I don't feel like the drop rate is good at all. Less than 1/10 worked for me. That's a hell of a lot of strikes to get a couple 2.0 versions of year one exotics.
