I keep hearing "6 hours of new content" I hope that includes the raid because it took me less than 2 hours to complete the story mission solo, and that includes doing the mission to unlock 3rd sub-class and complete 10 bounties.
I hate the method to obtain "marks" just another way to keep you playing everyday.
I have enjoyed Destiny but Iam ready to jump off the Hamster Wheel, I hope to complete the raid at least once before 11/10/15 cause after that I am GONE!
Back to The Waste Land for me.
EDIT: I should also say that it took less than 20 min to hit level 40 on all 3 toons.

After I finished the first set of story missions, I was a little disappointed as well. Then I realized that the actual, challenging, missions don't start until after you kill Oryx. Also once I figured out the legendary mark/light level system, I've been having a blast. It's so weird being on a mission and getting excited for blue engrams again.

well they essentially reset everyones stats and made level 40 the equivalent of level 20 so just like when you hit 20 and had like one or no legendaries blues are still relevant. That may change when have a vault and 3 characters entirely full of exotics and legendary gear.

Oh yeah blues will definitely lose their luster once you obtain all max level gear, but it has been a LONG time since blue engrams actually gave me hope for better armor/weapons.

Let me guess, you think that the story missions were over once you killed oryx. Maybe you should go finish the story now.

lvl 40 means nothing. it's light level people care about now.... you haven't explored anywhere near "a lot" of the dreadnaught... u haven't done any tier 3 court of oryx... u don't have any of the new exotics or have completed anything like the skyburners command codes and such ... how can u say the things you're speaking of.

Your right, level 40 means absolutely nothing because in reality we are all back to level 1. We now (if you choose too) get to grind all over again until next year only to see all progress wiped out again. I also said "I have ENJOYED Destiny" my post is not a complaint even though eveyone except you I might add seems to think it is. Only real complaint inthe post is the way we get "marks" now and Iam not alone on this. I have always been a RPG fan and can't wait for Fallout 4 as I have played them all 1,2,3 and New Vegas. I figure a year or so away from Destiny really won't matter, all you have to do is wait for the yearly reset and everyone is back on level ground.

I think personally the way that marks are intended to be used is slightly misunderstood. too many people are trying to repeatedly hit that cap so they can buy things from faction/vanguard/crucible vendors or another exotic from the blueprints. This is I think the secondary usage of these where the primary usage is supposed to be or at least i believe intended to be infusing things. The infusion cost is very stable and balanced with the ability to easily bring even a blue rarity item into the fold for your current weapon to be infused. Much cheaper I might add. I think what it was beileved we would do is wear w/e the best thing we got was, or infuse it into something we already had drop. Not purchase every single piece of gear you're wearing for marks. The way I see it now is everyone trying to purchase every piece of gear from something with an exorbitant cost instead of using it wisely and infusing the things they already have. Stuff like that faction gear should only be being purchased due to aesthetic value and only after you have something to infuse it up past 300 anyway.

yep what they did was a not so clever trick. They made 34 what 0 was. They made 40 what 20 was. And after 40 it's all light level. So they basically reset everybody. It's not a surprise. You just don't want to do that again. I get it. And you're 100% right, by xmas TTK content will be left behind. A new raid will likely take it's place or a new mode. Old strikes will be blocked off. And by September of next year they will put up a new paywall and if you want in you can buy it again. It's a veiled subscription model. But i honestly don't get why people get so pissed off by the mere fact that someone doesn't love every aspect of exactly what they love.

If you really think 34 was set to zero..... Delete a character and start over and start leveling up

Well you'll notice they didn't say "main story" If you do all the side quests and all the little things. It is way more then 6hrs. Everyone keep bring up this "6hrs of story" line but yet no one grasps the concept that they never once said 6hrs of main story line. With all the quests that you can do and everything added it's way more then 6hrs.

Me too...hahaha I think after Halo 5...Destiny will be in high gears and become one the best game ever. Not like right now...so bad..every time they sell a new DLC too few new contents..over priced, bad marketing tactic, demolish player previous achievements. All the "New" gear are worse than previous one. They just want us to play longer by giving us bad guns and limited source to upgrade (Legendary Mark)..instead making more new contents.

Yeah, if they improve with every expansion we can just wait till we're bored of Halo and Star Wars Battlefront to get back into it, and by that time it should be much better.

Content means everything. Story, strikes, raid, quests, court, etc. def more than 6 hours of content there.

Your right probably took less than that. I had a postmaster FULL of Public Event packages and Faction/Cryptarch packages. Also had 10x5,000 XP bounties and 6x3,000 XP bouties Popped a Focused light and turned in bouties and collected PE packages. Iam not the only one to use this method and it litterally took only a few minutes.
