Bungie has been very vocal about what content you're getting locked out of for a long time, so why does it come as an Earth shattering shock to everyone today?
Granted, I'm not saying that I agree with their decision; we can all agree that it's not fair from now to 10 years from now when Desntiny's last bit comes into existence.
What they're doing is legal weather we like it or not, and it's technically no different than the day that the original Halo 2 severs we're shut down for good. People we locked out of all that Halo 2 content, a game that defined an era in gaming, but no one reached for the pitchfork.
I've put in 1,500+ hours in Destiny, and most $60 games go for 100 hours. That's a lot of math (sarcasm), but in the end I've played enough hours to justify $900 of game time.
At this point, there's hardly anything left to do in year 1 because they capped the content anyway, so unfortunately Fatebringer seems to have reached its limit.
So if I'm not a fan of any of this then why post it? Because we should just play the game for what it is, or just don't.
If you hate Destiny this much, then don't play it, and find another game that makes you happy. If you loved Destiny, but hate where it went here then leave and remember all the hours you did have fun. If you loved Destiny, and still do...the King comes for us all!

even though I have all 3 dlc, I understand where people are coming from. with that said nothing anyone says on THESE forums will change anything. So you have 2 choices. Either buy the expansion or walk away from the game altogether. TTK is the last DLC I will be buying since to many better games are coming out. I may check in once in awhile if I get bored, but doubt I will play all that much after november.

10 AntwortenBearbeitet von ToughGuy051: 9/20/2015 8:05:18 AMI love ttk but i can see why people are upset. Without ttk your destiny disc is junk. So many basic functions are removed and out of your hands. People were mad loosing out on just the nightfalls n weeklys for a week on each expansion. 1. Now they loose playing reasonable strikes lv20 is a joke and minimal in rewards 2. No ability to get aquire the new curency 3. No dailys 4. No nightfall and weekly period 4. Patrol can become hell 5. Unable to purchase any vender gear 6.. Crucible choices and dimished 7. Iron banner will not be playable (power matters) 8. ToO will be unplayable as well Personally if your a fan of destiny you should just buy ttk but i understand why the forums are blowing up in angry people.

2 AntwortenIf these rats on here haven't caught on to the "locking out" of content since way back when TDB launched, why the hell are these rodents going out of their way to complain about it now? Lol it's ridiculous really. The hypocrisy on these forums knows no bounds. Quit the damn game already and cease your self-righteous attempt to "spread awareness" of Bungie's "greedy" business tactics. If you like the game then play on Guardians.

9 AntwortenBearbeitet von NuSeMaN: 9/21/2015 6:33:05 PMIt's called purposeful obsolescence look it up they are purposefully making paid content obsolete instead of make a destiny 1-2-3 they give content make it fun then make you pay for dlc that makes old content useless compare the amount of content you get with destiny with all its dlc combined for well over 150 buck to o let's say skyrim for 60 fallout for 60 it's incomparable thus is why people are mad hints waisted money its wrong and should be illegal

10 Antwortensorry OP but you forgot something very important... you don't get to define what others "should" do or for that matter when they should do it nor how they should feel about it. Perhaps more important, is that the tone and meaning of your message is that if players are unhappy they should simply leave....otherwise known as love it or leave it.. People protest to enact change, without protest, without agitators we would still be living in the stone age. In your world we would be bent over a log accepting our fates, never resisting, never seeking change.

3 AntwortenProblem: doesn't see why everyone is upset. Solution: remove blindfold.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Jake cant shoot: 9/21/2015 11:33:54 PMYou're first line. Smfh. I'd like to see where bungie was being vocal. That is funny. Not even a month ago Deej was telling every "not to worry" that their year one game would "remain the same for year 1 players" now that's being transparent. Haha

25 AntwortenHere are some reasons: An entire year's worth of content and gear has been made pointless because Bungie don't know how to make good guns anymore Non-DLC buyers have been locked out of activities they've had since launch Bungie's communication has been nonexistent Still no dedicated servers or in-game LFG Reforging was removed because Bungie thought it was a great idea to add two more overpowered shotguns into the mix with insanely OP perks The O'Donnell court case has proven that Bungie have straight up lied to us about story revisions and possible cut content (are words I never thought I'd type) Old weapons have been nerfed to shit to make the new weapons look useable And the worst part about it is that fanboys will still blindly throw money at the screen and verbally abuse anyone who even has a slight problem with any of these glaringly obvious issues via the EULA and wrongly claiming that Destiny is an MMO They are repeating TDB and all of its mistakes. I wouldn't be surprised if I could beat Oryx with a LAN cable.

I totally agree... This is the first post I've seen which isn't complete and utter crap
-
I bought taken king so i am not bothered by that. What bothers me is making my fatebringers junk. I like my fatebringers.
-
I disagree. I don't hate Destiny. I did buy the expansion, but I can't defend them. Year one players did spend $100 on their product and they deserve to be respected as consumers and players.

I'm loving TK! It's how the game should have been at release dammit! It's been a lot of fun so far!
-
Being cacao about it would have been telling people before they bought HoW that it would basically cease to exist and definitely become irrelevant in 3 months time.
-
11 AntwortenHow long was Halo 2 active? It felt like 4 or 5 years. How long was HoW (20€ expansion) relevant? 3 months? You see the difference?
-
lmao I'll make one point and you will understand look up imago loop handcannon don't read this unless you really want a spoiler
its the second coming of the fatebringer
1 AntwortenI don't think anyone that has some form of feedback hates Destiny. Fact is Bungie has NOT been vocal. They talk about the new stuff and you get in there and find out there is way more to be said. Yes, the first at I see it Bungie is colorblind and it's getting in there way.
-
2 AntwortenI wouldnt say $900 lol but the $140 is ok if the last two dlcs were as good as ttk less ppl would b mad

2 AntwortenHere here! I think it's ridiculous how people have this entitlement complex, feeling that they're owed access to new content without having to pay for it. Destiny is priced much, MUCH more fairly than other DLC-heavy games. There's also no monthly fee (from Activision/Bungie), and no microtransactions. $40 for The Taken King alone is a great price for the amount of content you get. You can easily get 12 hours just from doing all the missions/strikes/quests, and even more if you wish to grind for the best gear. People pay $60 for a lot less, and without all the bellyaching. As for the tired and ludicrous complaint that "Everything I did before was for nothing!" That couldn't be more untrue. People played and got their Year One exotics up to full level. The Taken King adds better gear. Why would anyone expect the old gear to remain the best? What would be the point of any expansion if it didn't offer better gear? So it's not that the work people put in doesn't matter, it's that Bungie has given players better things to strive for. Finally, if you're a hardcore Destiny player, why WOULDN'T you get the expansions? You've done everything there is to do in Year One, you wish to continue playing, get the new stuff.

20 AntwortenSo does every other company that states "All Rights Reserved". Put this in the context of a house. You buy a 2 bedroom one kitchen single story house. The company that build and sold that house to you now has a single room expansion on sale. If you don't buy it, you'll lose electricity to certain parts of your existing house. Your only options are: > Continue living there, with less accessible power, > Purchase that one room expansion, > Buy another house. That's what it is like.

5 AntwortenThanks for this post. Seems a lot of people, especially on the forums, get sucked into the practice of cherry picking all the issues with the game. Whether it's nerfs or matchmaking or price of TTK, people on the forums will consistently find something to complain about and continue to hop on the "destiny is shit" bandwagon

1 AntwortenBecause.... We are Americans, and if we bitch loud enough someone will comfort us with "what's wrong honey, how can I fix this"

Everyone's not upset. It's just that for some reason you only see the ones that are. A wise man once said we only see what we choose to see.

Truth! Bump

I can't speak for anybody else but I'm not upset I'm disappointed. And only about what all beer one gear being nerved builds that I've been working on for the last year or no mood and I have to actually go through the trouble and breaking them down. Hey bungee how about next time just auto dismantling all my mood gear. Yeeeeeeeah we're going to need you to work on Sunday to.
