How can you people even justify locking those who aren't sheep out of content we paid for.

If your locked out that means you didn't pay for the game to go on. What's the point of a dlc if everything in the game is free to play
-
So how am I an idiot? I'd love to hear your logic on this one.
-
Anybody that didn't should cry about it and be happy they still have there 40 dollars to spend on something else.
-
12 AntwortenDidn't lock you out of anything, all your old stuff is still there. #crymeariver
-
Because we totally made that decision.
-
I pre ordered two days before the game came out. I don't think I had any impact on their design choices.

It didn't cost me any money.... I'm enjoying my content..... It feels no different than if I were to buy the game day one
-
Apparently you don't understand how these types of games work...
-
I think its trying to communicate

Do you even grammer

The chicken is not amused

Shut up butt hurt peasant!
-
Hello, I am an idiot. But I am happy and you sound butt hurt. Happy > Butt hurt.
-
It was easy. I'm enjoying a great game, while you are posting about you not being a sheep, along with all the other so called nonsheep following your mighty crusade of not paying to add to a great game.

Bearbeitet von Tomato Gravy: 9/17/2015 3:08:56 AMYou people? What the hell does preorder matter anyway? Bungie released new dlc.......get over it But hey, if you want to waste your time here, talking to people who don't really care .....go for it.

9 AntwortenWhy would you even waste your time playing Destiny if you have no interest in upgrading to new content. It was never a free to play game. You will always eventually have to pay for new content. So why the complaining?
-
Bearbeitet von Town Noob: 9/17/2015 3:03:29 AMStop complaining. If you don't like it, buy another game. If you do, buy it. No one cares...

14 AntwortenYou paid for a game... Can you play the game? Yes This indicates you aren't locked out. Did you buy The Taken King? No This indicates any content directly related to the Taken King expansion will be unavailable. Including but not limited to; Strikes, Story Missions, Raids, Subclasses, Adjusted Level Caps. The Taken King content was not made exclusive, everyone has the opportunity to purchase it, therefore the strikes and missions can and will appear in the weekly and daily rotation. Again this is NOT locking you from content already paid for since you haven't, in fact, paid for TTK. Anymore pointless rants?

18 AntwortenThe early reviews have been largely positive, with the general point of contention being Bungie and Activision's overtly anti-consumer business strategy amoung the non-professional critic reviews. As for critical review of the content itself, the general consensus is it's well done, basically a re-launch of the IP based on the game's original failings. We've known for some time now Destiny was built on good business, not good game design, and systemically rendering previously purchased content obsolete has been the obvious strategy since the first DLC, The Dark Below (which was largely negatively reviewed, as well as The House of Wolves). This is the point of contention, effectively disregarding early fans in the name of more profits, thereby eroding consumer loyalty. In short, fans feel betrayed, and thus you get people actively protesting the game. Me personally? I rarely pre-order anything. I haven't yet decided on the Taken King as I'm awaiting a more in depth critical review of its content, and will decide on or before Sept 21st whether I'll be jumping back into Destiny based on those reviews, or simply writing it off as a game I used to play once upon a time. The reason why Sept 21st is my cutoff? Because that's the cutoff of the GameStop promotion that'll give me $20 for a trade in of my original copy to obtain the Legendary Edition, essentially getting me the DLC (which I never purchased due to their largely negative reviews) for free with the purchase of The Taken King ($40 stand alone). If Bungie wants to put the squeeze on its fans I'll do everything in my power to squeeze them back giving them the lowest amount possible to obtain their products. Which in this case is depriving them of a sale of a base copy of Destiny since I'd be trading one in, and cutting them out of $20 on the sale of a copy of the Legendary Edition, all the while having never purchased the DLC, and obtaining it physically through a retailer they must pay a portion of the sale to. Even if I do pick up the Legendary Edition, it'll be under circumstances where Bungie and Activision take a net loss on the sale (-$20 promotional, -$35 never paid for the DLC, -$27 the resale of the base copy, +$60 total price = -$22 net loss before GameStop's cut of the sale). I exclusively use GameStop for console games, and exclusively as a "well fuck you too" companies like EA, Ubisoft, and Activision. This is why you don't buy Console Games digitally, and no matter the platform you ALWAYS wait for a reputable critical review from a reliable source.
