You do not get them from strikes or crucible.
As of day one. The only way to obtain them is the dailies, dismantling, heroic strike, select quest lines. The daily crucible is limited to one event from all 3 characters.
Thanks for all the insight everyone. THE GRIND IS REAL.
Overall, I feel they did an amazing job with this update. There is so much to do and look forward to. Day 2 has proven to be even richer with content.... Rasputin relic, dropped bounties in the dreadnaught. Amazing!

Thus far, here are the best ways I've found to get marks on a daily basis: Tuesday reset: do 3 heroics and the daily. That's 60 right off the bat. Or is it 45? 60, I think. COURT OF ORYX AND STRIKES. This is somewhat RNG based, but lots of blue engrams increases your chances of them being legendary which adds to your total. And of course you have chances of just getting legendary items in general. Finally, bounties. Tho less reliable, you can get legendaries from leveling up factions and rep.

1 AntwortenTrials bounties poop out legendary marks
-
They are piss easy to get. Do the daily story and crucible. Weekly heroic strikes and crucible. Nightfall. Dismantle legendaries. Easy
-
A few days worth of daily story/crucible and you got another piece. Not super fast but enough to keep you coming back. And then you can get 30 marks per hero per week in the heroic strike paylist.

Save your story missions on other characters

4 AntwortenZONE CONTROL = 10 MARKS EVERY WIN
-
One way is Find a legendary weapon, equip, pop a few moats of light and then dismantle it gives you 5 a time instead of 3
-
3 AntwortenPlay the game. I got my hawkmoon to year 2 just from playing without aiming for 150 marks. You get 25 from each characters main quest (or dread patrol quest), then do some 36 strikes, get your light to 260 then do heroic strikes. Even without the marks from the heroics you will still get them from dismantling legendaries gotten doing the strikes
-
6 AntwortenI think that this new system, while slow, motivates to keep playing. People are not so gently encouraged to keep going instead of crushing crucible and strikes as quick as possible, stopping and then waiting until the next week.

1 AntwortenAs soon as I get marks I end up using them on infusion.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von DevilDriv3r 84: 9/17/2015 3:09:12 AMWell spoken OP. I think what they are trying to do is make it so that it IS harder to obtain more powerful gear so that it holds more value and to keep guardians from all reaching power plateau in a matter of a few days as has happened over year one. It should feel more "special" if you will to grab a new legendary rather than already back the old dismantle 95 percent of everything dropped by the end of week one. A lot of guardians may disagree but I forgot just how good it felt to see a nice blue drop or just something better than what I have. Its not exactly the same as my first day in Destiny but it feels very similar to have to kind of start fresh again, I welcome the breath of fresh air and welcome year two openly.

1 AntwortenThe real question is: how easy do you want to max out your character(s) do you want best gear highest light in a week? Or actually play the content and enjoy the game and the end stuff will eventually get there. I'm all for the later. I like to take my time and have fun. Not sure rush to max and get bored.

5 AntwortenGuys, people are being mislead with this whole "can only get marks from strikes 3 times" hoopla. Yes, you are guaranteed 10 marks on three strikes. After those three, Marks are still obtainable. I played 5 heroic strikes last night. Check my history on my Titan if need be, and I received 25 marks twice! Not to mention the purple Engrams too. Had to stop our streak and return to the tower bc we were capped out at 200. Hope this helps

The grind is real. Wish they gave out marks the old way
-
Daily story/crucible that's an easy 30
-
Rasputin relic?

2 AntwortenTo get marks you have to do high level content, to do high level content you need high level gear, to get high level gear you need marks, to get marks you need to do high level content. Its quite repetative and rng will not get you there cause it will always be broken.
-
2 AntwortenWhy oh why do people feel like they need hundreds all the time? Yes, it's 150 for an exotic, but if you just go at it organically you'll get there! I frivolously spend them on infusion (I just love the look of my warlock so much) and I still have been saving up slowly but surely. AND I also bought a ghost from vanguard!! In summary, just game on, rely on RNG (which is very generous about gear, especially when ranking up factions) and use marks for infusion

19 AntwortenBearbeitet von RustyRat63: 9/16/2015 1:01:10 PM15 Legendary Marks for completing daily story. 15 Legendary Marks for completing daily PvP 10 Legendary Marks for completing heroic strikes (only first three each week). * Edit - It has been pointed out (and verified) that you can actually only do the dailies once per ACCOUNT not per character. Therefore new total is - If you complete all dailies you get 30 a day = 210 per week + 30 from heroic = 240! You may get some from quests, but these will run out when you have done them, so only other way seems to be dismantling year 2 Legendary kit (3 per item for dismantling but an engram is 60 to buy and ready made is 75 to 200). Cap you can hold is 200, but no cap on how many you can earn? The restrictions they seem to have put in place on how you earn them is a cap in itself. Think you are short now? Just wait until we find you need them for Iron Banner. Because it is account bound, you would be unable to buy both sets of armour, class item and weapons for one character, never mind all three (and because defense is on class items, you will need to buy a new one).

Consume mote of light to level up crappy weapons then dismantle them for marks. I haven't tested this but a few posts I've come across swear by it.
-
Did anyone confirm or disprove the wiki claim that POE gives LM?
-
I've done two quests and received 20 from one and 25 from another but they are loong
-
There is so much variety, options and things to do that I really think they nailed it. It's now very fun and the grind is there but the grind is enjoyable now.
-
After several posts and searching I think I've found the way if you're mainly a PvE player like myself. 1. Complete the entire story. 2. Run level 36 Vanguard strikes for higher light level items 3. Once at adequate light level on to heroics, nightfalls and kings raids. I've been searching on how to get legendary marks and only heard to do PvP which I don't like and stink at it too. lol I've heard RNG is not too bad in the mid-level strikes to help you get better items. Good luck to all my fellow Guardians in getting the gear they want to use. I hope we all have better luck than year one. lol

Bearbeitet von WhatsKraken: 9/16/2015 11:04:23 PMI'm just having fun exploring the dreadnought and all the little quests and bounties....like the worm feeder rune that turns into one of 9 keys. I'm lvl 40 on my Titan and 225 light. I'll get there when I get there. All the new stuff distracts from grinding and makes it fun. Nice job Bungie!

5 AntwortenWhat's the best thing to first spend marks on? Ghost shell?
