I feel like Bungie is forcing you to buy things now. I got o. Thinking that there were going to be all these new things like armors and weapons and great things; I was so excited. Then I get on and look at everything, and every piece of legendary armor or weapons require TTK. Which is really a let down because it felt like I HAD to buy a brand new game to continue playing one that I had since last year. With the other DLCs, it was fine because they added new things and the only things that were restricted if you didn't own The Dark Below or House of Wolves were things that pertained solely to those expansions (i.e. Eris Morn items and Crota's End loot, Variks and Petra's items and PoE exotic weapons). I could still play the game just fine, just doing dailies, weeklies, and the Nightfall when it wasn't DLC strikes. Now they've taken out the good stuff and dropped trash for us gamers who don't want or haven't gotten TTK. I'm basically playing for blue engrams and gaining +10 reputation for a single Legacy Strike. Oh yeah, I can play in the Crucible, but why? I can't have rewards for doing my part in reaching high rank to buy weapons and gear. Nope. Now they took out Vanguard and Crucible Marks to put in Legendary Marks, but, you guessed it, you can only earn them by playing TTK-related strikes and missions! You know, apart from dismantling year two items you were lucky enough to snag from high rank packages, which you can only look at for a few seconds before deciding 'well, I'm not going to need this, as cool as it looks' before you dismantle it and look at the three marks you got from it in victory, but also regret. The only thing we have now without TTK is... well, missions we've done before with the old weapons we already have wearing the old gear we've had and supers we've had. They might've gave the year one people a new shader, emblem, and sparrow, but is that really enough to keep people from leaving because they can virtually no longer play the game for the rewards they want? I don't know, but I've read that a lot of people were leaving because of no game to play. Personally, I could understand restrictions a lot of stuff over the huge expansion of TTK, but not locking up the whole game and forcing people to spend forty more dollars, which is basically no longer a choice. When The Dark Below and House of Wolves hit, I played the game without a problem because neither DLC interfered with my gaming at all. And when I had extra money, I bought the two and enjoyed it. Not because I needed them to play Destiny like a regular game, but because I simply wanted them now that I could afford them. Maybe I don't understand marketing because I don't have a degree in selling people stuff, but I find it hard to understand why I HAVE to pay forty dollars to play my favorite game again. All we have now is story, strikes that don't reward anything we need, and VoG (Crota's End and/or PoE for those of you who have the expansions).
So much things are missing from Destiny now and I can't do a thing. I looked at everything the vendors had to sell and simply thought to myself 'too bad I'm poor'. People who own TTK are probably just tired of seeing all the rants and just want us to shut up, which is agreeable, I'd hate people complaining over something nonsensical, but they don't see things from our point of view. Bungie dropped the expansion and said 'You didn't buy The Taken King? Well, have fun playing another game until you can spare forty dollars, kid.' Ha ha, the struggles.

3 AntwortenWait you have to BUY THE DLC TO GET DLC CONTENT!!!!!THAT MAKES NO SENSE
butthurt
-
1 AntwortenHey instead of moaning about this maybe use your time to go get a job that pays you enough to not be so bothered by £40, and just buy the DLC. It seems very much like you want something for nothing, Bungie staff need to be paid, they don't work for free dude. How do you think the world works. If you wanted a new set of wheels for your car would you expect them for nothing? No, so why should a games developer give you a new set of gear and missions for nothing. The old content is pretty much all there, and if your a year one player surely you have exhausted the old strikes and missions by now. The TTK DLC is awesome, and pretty massive. Don't see it as just DLC, see it as Destiny 2. (First World Problems).

1 AntwortenWell no offense but it's completely fair if you didn't buy the dlc to not have access to most thing sorry but that's my option don't get too salty okay?
-
2 AntwortenBoom got a new job today, TTK here I come! In about a week or so
-
You will buy the DLC, or stop playing destiny. Its as simple as that. No amount of blocky word-garbage will change that. Bungie did not exclude you from content you have already purchased, only content you did not purchase (with ttk).
-
1 AntwortenYes. You're right. It's a total screw job. Activision knows what they are doing and they know the majority of people will keep paying. But this is not a necessity. It is entertainment. If you don't buy TTK, your life will not be threatened. You just won't be able to play as much of a video game as you should. So if people decide 40 or 60 bucks is worth their entertainment, then they'll pay it. So, as much as I hate to say it, just pay up if you want to keep playing.
-
So your moaning about not getting new stuff for free? Wtf. Take a hike mate, all your original content is there.
-
1 AntwortenIt was in the EULA that you didn't bother reading. It says they can remove or restrict content or words to that effect.
-
1 AntwortenI'm guessing u never played a game with expansions before.....
-
Vidoc achievements, look it up. They hyped one set of armor. To get the achievements you needed multiplayer dlc, and odst.
-
2 AntwortenDoes anybody think "eh, who gives a -blam!-" any more? Yes they're greedy, yes it's a shitty practice but let me be honest here, I've spent more on whores and really couldn't give a shit. I'll wait for the reviews to drop and if I like the look I'll hand over the measly sum of £40. -blam!-, I'll even buy you it if you just stop crying, please, it's annoying now.

4 AntwortenYo if you can't afford $40 - $80 you're probably 12 - 17 years of age and if you're above that you're either broke or cheap. Don't even play the game if you didnt get ttk might as well try to find a job
-
3 AntwortenIts.only.40.dollars....... !!!! I get "its the principle" thing, but really? All the hours spend grinding, looting, raiding on this game for a year & you can't spend $40 on a dlc which so far is better than vanilla & the two expansions put together? I. I just don't get it.

Bearbeitet von Stupid Shinji: 9/16/2015 3:52:28 PMThe level cap is 40, there is a new defense cap also, the only armor that can get you there comes from ttk. So why should someone who didn't buy ttk get access to the armor? Do you get upset when you buy a car and a year later the same model comes out but now it come standard with navigation? Do you go to the dealer and cry? No? Why? Oh yeah, you didn't -blam!-ing pay for it.
-
A little too long but SO TRUE!!!! I agree sooooo much. They're forcing you to buy stuff and locking you out of original content if you don't buy it. It's really annoying

Dude. TL;DR

How about you invest in a keyboard with an "enter" key first

3 AntwortenLol you must be new little light. It was this way in TDB and HoW....
-
6 AntwortenI'm confused, you didn't buy the other expansions so you've been playing vanilla this whole year? There's literally nothing stopping you from continuing to play vanilla destiny if thats all you want to play. Go back and play the same strikes and missions you've been playing and stop expecting free content
-
3 AntwortenHow dare they charge for content they created!
-
They dont care if you keep playing. They want people who buy dlc's. All video games costs about 100$ these days. Go back to playing neopets or pretty princess pony land
