Will you be playing Mayhem? Why/Why Not?
I'm curious as to what the rest of the PvP community thinks about the upcomming Mayhem playlist.
Are you pumped up to get in there and show off your skills w/ various Supers?
Or are you concerned it will end up being an absolute milk chocolately cluster Fk ?
If you aren't excited about Mayhem, what type of games would you like to see in Destiny PvP?
For me it would be a gametype with LESS supers, LESS special/heavy, and MORE teamwork/gunskill....sadly that seems to be the exact opposite direction the Crucible is headed. BUT HEY THATS JUST MY (and EVERY Destiny PvP streamers) DREAM
I feel as though the PvP community has NO VOICE. I think it is time we make ourselves heard so bungie can stop making these decisions for us. Or maybe Bungie just needs to start listening...
So what do you think? Am I alone here?
Do you plan to dive in to mayhem tomorrow? Why or why not?

Thank you for all of the feedback so far ! It seems majority of guardians are big fans of mayhem. However, I'm personally glad to see there are so many people suggesting that there should be both competitve and social playlists...i really think thats the best idea ive seen.

1 AntwortenIt's fun for casual game play. Pulls pve players into competitive. Yes low skill curve, yes very chaotic. Shotguns still do work in close proximity the difference now is that there is a lot of air combat, more rushing. I was playing on Frontier and expected sniping, was being rushed by five shotguns and had us in spawn trap.

After playing mayhem for two straight days i will say this.... mayhem is my favorite game mode. If you like going in just to have a blast this is the game mode for you. I couldn't stop laughing when me and my friend went in first nova bombing everything that moved. Then we switched up to golden guns for everyone mode with our hunters. Then another buddy of mine got on with his suppressor nade titan it was pure domination.

Its SOOOOO much fun. I dont worry about tatics. Its just a good way to just play and not take it seriously. Everyone complaining needs to calm down. Its not supposed to be tactical.

1 Antwortensorry for people who love the mode my respects to you guys who do but for me the mode is not really fun. I was playing it as my hunter and this might be just me but hunters seem op in mayhem because of the golden gun. that's my opinion you may have another opinion.

Last night, I played 2 or 3 matches (because my clan buddies wanted to, and hey, it's fun to play Destiny with friends). It's not as bad as I expected. What I found remarkable is that aside from the score being a lot bigger, there's not that much Mayhem involved. Here's the thing: given how slowly abilities recharge in regular crucible now, since everyone's Int/Disc/Str got stepped down a tier, Mayhem feels mostly like Crucible did [i]before[/i] the 2.0 update. At least for me - I basically ran pure Disc builds anyway with double-grenade perks, so having a grenade available pretty much whenever I needed one was a normal thing for me. The big difference, obviously, is that I could throw super more often, but other than that...Mayhem just feels like pre-2.0 crucible to me.

It's fun but honestly there is no counter to golden gun. Being a Gunslinger is easy mode. (Coming from a Gunslinger main)

It's literally the most fun I've had in crucible since the beta. I hope they NEVER change or get rid of it.
