How are you adapting to crucible 2.0?
At first I was getting -blam!- and frustrated as hell. I've been so use to TLW/ sniper combo and TLW is very situational now.
I have switched to red death and my longbow and have had to alter my playstyle quite a bit, but I've now been having a blast.
It took quite a while to learn the sniping lines on the new maps as well.
On another note, the current pvp is great in that the cooldowns are extremely slow.... Meaning noobs aren't running around supering and chucking nades constantly. True gunskill is showing. :D woot woot!!!
How is everyone else faring in pvp?

I think I'm doing better because there are more long ranged maps so I don't spend every game getting wrecked by shotguns. Also my Grim Citizen 3 and MIDA seem to be better but maybe that's just because they aren't overshadowed by TLW anymore.

Liking the variety so far, it's not all hand cannons and shotguns. It's still plagued by the same old lag though; spent a lot of games so far getting sniped and headshot by people behind a wall, or assassinated by players who didn't show up on radar until they did damage.

Played a match on that map "memento" earlier which I kind of liked except the dude who went 1.55 on the other team sat in "B" the ENTIRE TIME with a party crasher. He was annoying. He would just sit behind the desk crouched an hit whoever was near the building. It's guys like that who make me not like crucible. And there's a lot of them. I play control and am always going for objectives and giving support.

It's better-ish- the Meta has changed, there seems to be more choice in weapons. I'm still glad I did not yet spend the money on TTK. Not insta dying from hand cannon shots from across the map is nice, but it highlights class imbalance even more. I've had it with imbalanced games, metas, poor matchmaking. This feels a lot like the "balancing" WoW did for the arena, which is not saying a ton.

Juju and MIDA with a shotgun secondary have been really good for me so far, honestly love the new pace and emphasis on gun skill ATM.

On my Titan, I've been using mida/matador Hunter uses tlw/ldr My warlock will probably be tlw/ldr too

Exactly the same except hand cannons and autorifles have been switched.

Anyone else see charionna get phantom, we ran out of medals, and almost go unbroken in the same match

My kd has improved significantly post 2.0. And I've not even had to pull out red death yet. So far, it's much better IMO. Movement speed etc doesn't bother me.

Found the M&M setup to be working the best now for most if not all of the new maps

Im not used to the maps yet but the guys who are, they are cleaning up. Its awesome because its all fresh content. I do think that some of the maps are inducive to camping and spawn camping but its all new so only time will tell. Have to admit mayhem is fun though

2 AntwortenI'm one of those people that used Pulse Rifles before their unofficial name was 'The Thing That Earned You Hatemail', and other than the fact there's pretty noticeable recoil now(RIP Coiled Hiss), I'm glad with all the current Crucible changes. There are a tad too many Necrochasms, but I can tolerate that much more than the Thornpocalylse.

My first few games were rough as I was seeing which weapons i was comfortable with, but now bad juju/ red death/ suros/any scout are my best friends :)

Its still pretty annoying, but at least the meta has changed.

I'm playing alone, I don't think I can leave myself But whatever I needed a reason to lay off video games anyway Edit 2* Lag seems to be a bigger issue than it was before, at least for me. Enemies don't seem to show on the radar sometimes, I've had instances where I shoot a guy and melee numerous times, get killed by their teammates then get a kill message a good 3 seconds later while I'm "looking for a spawn location"

6 AntwortenI've always used MIDA and will continue to use it. It performs just the same as before. Only difference is not having to deal with all that BS Thorn/TLW scrub nonsense. Also Vestian Dynasty is awesome. I can finally free myself from shottys.
