are making me feeling like a useless piece of pig turd.
How do people get so good at sniping like it's second nature to them, when I pick up a sniper trying to get 15 HS bonty, I go 0.4 for 8 games straight before I finally gets it.
EDIT: Plenty helpful tips, but most applies to quick scoping. Are there any way to generally improve accuracy and target acquisitions, especially blinking hunters (They get to me from long range ridiculously fast). I play on max sensitiviy because I mostly prefer close-med range engagement.
EDIT: Right now i'm doing okay with her benevolence, though I'm only good at hitting heads that I know are going to pop out of the corner or running straight at me. Any side way or vertical movement is still impossible for me. Guess it's pretty good progress for a evening worth of practice.

Have a sniper 24\7

Doing the sniper headshot bounties was what motivated me to get better at sniping. After the first weapon rebalanced update prior to 2.0, which crippled fusion rifles, I tried shotguns for a while, but kept getting outranged by everyone else's, even if I was running the same exact shotgun with identical perks. So I decided the only other option at the time was a sniper. And I found I was surprisingly proficient with them. The Firefly perk on my LDR 5001 was the other motivation. I used to be able to get triple downs with it. Loved watching them explode after every headshot. Although, ever since, it hasn't really been possible with the new maps and snipers available. The 1000 -Yard Stare, despite its infamous reputation, just doesn't feel the same. It doesn't feel as accurate as my old LDR.

I'm the same way. I suck at sniping in this game. Good thing I have a few friends who are godly at sniping and I'm just their backup if there are shotties lmao. This is in trials. Sniping is so key right now in it for 80% of the games.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von JayTeazyy: 9/24/2015 2:23:37 PMJust practice it. Soon you shall be popping heads just like me ;) never ads longer than 5 seconds at any given moment scope out sometimes to quickly get a glimpse of your radar if you have to ads over an extended time, don't play on 10 sen, I've only known one good sniper that could do this, And hes been sniping longer than I have Use double snipers.

Turn your sensitivity down for sniping

go on a level platform and dont move your sight up and down just side to side only do it when theres a good opportunity once your good at that try up and dwn

I know what you mean, I've seen players who literally spawn, turn right, and get a headshot in a split of a second.

Its really hust practice even if it hurts your kd just grab your old ice breaker(i find it to be a good starter snipe) and just use it practice your shots and youll get the hang of it

Bearbeitet von SKY: 9/24/2015 2:11:02 PMIt's all about movement prediction and adjusting to head levels at any elevation. As a higher-caliber sniper (no pun intended) in the crucible, my tips would be to find a sniper you're comfortable with, lower your sensitivity if you can, and just keep playing. I used to play on sensitivity 8, but over the past three months where I've been improving my sniping skills, I've bumped it all the way down to 3. Here are some videos to help you improve: TrueVanguard's sniper school kjhovey's sniping guide

The best modes for sniping are ones that encourage enemy players to be predictable...control/zone control or any mode that lets you revive teammates are good places to get that bounty done. If you're going .4, you're doing it wrong. Be unpredictable by changing angles frequently (even at the same choke point). This will make it harder on the other team's sniper who is trying to remove your head.

Sniper in every game I play and 90% of the time this is the best way to snipe, get your scope head level of the enemy and have them run into your shot. So basically guess where their head will be and wait. Sometimes that doesn't always work so when they aren't crossing your line of sight you move your scope over left or right. Try to stay away from moving up and down unless they jump there isn't a need for it. Hope this helps

Use a hand cannon or some other close ranged primary for defence

Alright so I'm ok/pretty decent at sniping. 1. Never stay scoped for long. If you stay scoped for longer than 5 seconds you'll get tunnel vision and get hit from the side. At least de scope and check your surrounding, personal favorite thing to do is quickly let go of the aim trigger, so that way the minimap pops up for just one second, then aim again before the de scoping animation is complete. 2. Always aim at head level. In a sniper battle, reticle positioning is half of the fight. If you scope in and you're really far away from his head, you will probably die. That's why, especially if people are turning corners like on pantheon, you always aim at head level. 3. Type of scope. Now this is more angled towards quickscoping and dragscoping. Your type of scope can deeply affect how you snipe. It's just like your favorite fun in crucible you know exactly how it works, you need to pick on scope and use that one. Switching scopes often can be confusing and decrease your hit per shot value. Train with one scope and you'll get better with it, therefore increase your sniping skill. 4. Barrel positioning. Similar to always aiming at head level, this is also more focused on quick/dragscoping. If you hit an enemy and they take cover don't rush, rather aim where they will peek, slowly but efficiently aiming your barre at the point where they will peek. Best case scenario is you'll quickscope the shiz out them as your barrel is already aligned. 5. Type of sniper. Your sniper archetype can seriously affect your sniping. If you are using a sniper like, Praedyths Revenge, I would recommend not using it for attempting to quickscope as it has no impact. This also is a sniper where you will need to quickly deal to shots to kill, but thanks to its quick fire rate this is assured. Now say for example you are using a Her Benevolence. This enables you to quickscope due to the crazy high impact, where you can instantly kill someone with half shield. Hope this helped!

Maxed sensitivity is reaallllly bad for accurate sniping. I play on 3 and can still be vastly versatile. A tip, take your time. Go for headshots but don't be afraid to pop one in the body to finish someone off. Practice practice practice.
-
Another tip: Don't use snipers on CQC maps. Unless you're a MLG NLB quick scoper that is.

Bearbeitet von Guardian7318: 9/24/2015 1:29:01 PMHonestly I have no idea. Some people are good at it and some aren't. My gameplay is very fast, so I tend to track farely well. I know some people who are okay at sniping but play farely slowly so it may seem that they aren't as good, but they just play differently. P.S. I would never attempt sniping in PvP, that shit is cray and I have no idea how people do it.

Find out where the middle of the screen is, get in tiny circle of paper, lick it, stick it to your TV, quickscope for dayz

Map knowledge and position is most important. Not having potato aim helps as well. Never stay scoped in for longer than 5 seconds.
