I would have to say Fable would be number one on my list that game series never live up to any of the hype that preceded it

The first Fable was one of the best games for the original Xbox. All other Fables sucked. I'm counting the Lost Chapters as Fable 1.

I've enjoyed the series so far
-
Fable The Lost Chapters is amazing
-
Fable 1 was great. But after that /: /: /: /:

I thought 1 AND 2 were great. I thought that 2 expanding on everything 1 did well, but 3 was straight crap

Fable 3 is great! You probably got your whole kingdom killed you damn pleb. Also, find me a game where i can shoot electric fireballs, and summon flaming whirlwinds on command than maybe you're opinion will be valid.

It was just a boring game. The combat became watered down if I remember correctly, the level system was actually less in depth (which is amazing since the first two didn't have a hugely in depth level system) and nothing about the world gripped my attention.

But you played through it and beat it, so it must not have been all that bad considering it's a decently long story. The combat however, is not watered down, it's improved from the 1st, and 2nd. The game was easy i'll admit, but it's a great game, with great action, and a great story, with a fair amount of extra content to explore once you've beaten it. It seems to me you're not the explorer type, and you're goldfish attention span keeps you from enjoying it. I guess opinions will be opinions. I like the game.

I beat the game because I'm a completionist. The story was mediocre compares to the first or second, the combat was expanded, as far as I recall, by letting you cast two spells at once. And I felt the story was actually very short and that the second half, the ruling half, was undeveloped and poorly paced. And correct me if I'm wrong, but magic was way too strong in the game. It basically made ranged weapons and swords and stuff unnecessary because you could just spam the AoE version of the attack and that was enough to kill everything. That's without even getting maxed out level. The evolving weapon was not developed to its full potential. And dude, it honesty doesn't affect me if you like the game. I didn't enjoy it other than the fact it was a fable game I hadn't played through 4x. If you did, great, don't come at me like I'm an idiot or stupid for not liking the game. Hell, I liked resident evil 5 and I know a ton of people who didn't, and I fully understand why. I don't think they're dumb for doing so. Edit: I just remembered about the finishers and counter attacks and stuff. I'm indifferent about that. Felt it could have been done much better.

Loved fable 1 but it was also over hyped

No doubt. No doubt.
