Based on the last weekly update, we will no longer have access to Weekly Nightfall Strikes, Weekly Heroic Strikes, Daily Strikes and Daily PVP events unless we buy TTK.
(Shortened to only convey the core of the issue since this is the point that most, not all, of the commenters seem to have missed from the weekly update of 8/27)
EDIT4: This is for all the people commenting that have not read the weekly update, or that in reading it failed to understand what it said:
Per the weekly update, all modifications to the weekly and daily events are indented under the heading of "Escalation". The listing of upcoming changes is prefaced by the statement,
Once you’ve completed the new story campaign, a whole new suite of endgame activities will beckon.
And after defining all of the changes to this already included daily and weekly PVE & PVP game content, they make the following statement,
Did we mention that you’ll need to confront the immediate threat first? Oryx lies between you and these challenges. You'll need to survive his wrath to partake in the new endgame
The reference to "new endgame content" is not only to new TTK-exclusive content in the format of the update, but to the revamped daily and weekly events overall. So according to the weekly update, you will not get access to any of these daily or weekly activities until you complete the TTK story, e.g., purchase that game. Many people are arguing that this is not the case and that it will be the same as the first two expansions and access to any of these events will only be restricted when a particular strike is from TTK, but that is contrary to what the Weekly Update from Bungie states.

I understand and respect your thought out argument and post, but what would you consider success? If it goes to court the amount of time passed would make free access to these things pointless. Or If you buy it, win and get a refund... That seems like way more work than I'm willing to put in for $40. Or If they give non dlc players their own older nightfall the rewards would be pre dlc. I just assumed playing a online game with expanding content would leave me behind if I didn't buy the updates. If I didn't want to stay current I would probably stop playing all together. I can't imagine the salt when PS3 (like myself) and 360 users can't keep going on those systems. There will surely be a post asking bungie to buy us all current gen systems.

Hey loser pay 40 bucks to get the DLC only no big deal
-
They can shut down a day after TTK if they want to. Go read ToS
-
Have fun paying court fees, idiot.
-
This again? Lol good luck with that. Im sure it will keep the entire legal department at activision busy for a minute or two.

People sue over everything/anything and nothing at all... Sigh.. This world is coming to an end.

This forum is AIDS

Good luck. Be sure to come back and let me know how it works out for you.

1 AntwortenTL;DR did you not understand that the base game changes to strikes won't effect anything? You can still play the weekly heroic and nightfalls as long as you can access them and you can still play the strike playlist anyway it's not changing much other than including the 3 dlc strikes.
-
You're an idiot. I can point out why but that would take too much time.
-
Are you secretly BDobbins?
-
I honestly don't think a judge will give you the time of day dude.

Aaaaahhhhhahahahahahah. No thanks. I don't believe your assessment of the weekly update is entirely accurate. Also I already paid for TTK. As well as my ongoing subs for ESO and SWTOR, which both probs cost me more per year than Destiny. Despite the fact I play them both less than Destiny. But I enjoy them all and see more value in all of them than a new COD or FIFA every year. PS. I liked the end of Mass Effect 3.

hey, you know that terms of service thingy you signed when you first started up destiny? yeah, I'd recommend rereading it before even considering taking legal measures.

6 AntwortenSerious question. Why have you put so much effort into posting something so catastrophically incorrect?
-
1 AntwortenYou're serious? You're going to take them to court over this? I mean, quitting and being whiny is one thing. Court??? That's a new level of wtf
-
Lol you can play all the old stuff except for like nightfalls and shit. Seriously you do realize that they, as publisher and owner of the game, can do whatever they want with it. You only buy a license to play it.

Telling me to shoot myself? I could file a cyberbullying case for that

4 Antworten
Based on the last weekly update, unless we pay for TTK, we will no longer have access to Weekly Nightfall Strikes, Weekly Heroic Strikes, Daily Strikes and Daily PVP events unless we buy TTK.
How did you come to this conclusion?
Once you’ve completed the new story campaign, a whole new suite of endgame activities will beckon.
Just like having to do the story mission in Crotas end before being able to search for the Omnigul strike which was also the night fall for the first week.
Did we mention that you’ll need to confront the immediate threat first? Oryx lies between you and these challenges. You'll need to survive his wrath to partake in the new endgame
You will need to complete the story mode to partake in NEW endgame activities... whats wrong with that, everyone is going to complete the story mode anyway so they can level up their new sub classes and if you DO NOT buy TTK then obviously you wont have access to the NEW endgame content as you wont have the DLC.
