I believe trials is currently community locked content.
Please read the link I explain CLC there.
https://www.bungie.net/en-GB/Forum/Post/150507559/0/0
Essentially:-
Can't get a match even using the app and 3rd party stuff. Why should I? I paid for trials, I should be able to play, even if I get wrecked.
'Get gud?' Can't get a match, how can I practice? Shouldn't need to get good to play.
I've been flawless once, took about 10 hours to find a team though.
If you can't even get a match the temptation to pay a streamer and have a good team is pretty high, but i think that's the biggest cancer rotting destiny away atm and it will be terminal if Bungie don't fix it. I ain't paying some independent guy just so I can play content I already paid Bungie for. This is a joke.
If not then why not? You are Already matchmade against teams, why can't someone who wants to matchmake their own team have the choice to do that?
Edit:- I haven't agreed with it for raids but the choice to enter matchmaking on trials is essential.
I'd like to practice w/o waiting all day.
Elimination being permanent might help a bit but there are no rewards. With ToO matchmaking I might even get lucky and be paired with decent blueberries. I think people may communicate more and try harder for rewards in matchmade ToO as people just run elimination stupidly sometimes currently.
I Don't exactly have a good team and it's impossible to get one unless you've been flawless 7643678 times already.
Bungie are trying to fix community locked content re: 'must have ghorn' but ToO is even worse.
Can't play unless I've been flawless multiple times so don't really even have access to content I paid for - and I'm not talking about the lighthouse, I'm talking about it taking 8hours to get a team and even get in a game, if I'm lucky.
Had 3 cards over the course of about 9 hours this weekend, it's locked off from access despite already paying for it.
The community has also begun streaming requiring payments or donations and follows for a carry. So I pay for content and because I can't find even a crap team do I have to pay some streamer just to get in a match!? This is cancerous to Destiny and I'm shocked it's not been fixed or mentioned at all by Bungie.
I'm beginning to expect my money back, as I've paid for content that actually remains locked.
Tl;Dr/conclusion
Matchmaking is the only fix to community locked content, especially now the community expect payments for us to play with them. This is the most urgent issue facing destiny right now.
Edit:- too easy to play against matchmade teams?
Make it so matchmade vs matchmade or ranked matchmaking or some combination, if you are progressing on your card you should face tougher opponents, whether match making it not...and to go 9-0 you need to be that skilled whether matchmade or not so have it nearer the end there's no guarantee you won't be up against a group if you are matchmade?
Even without that, if I want a few games with randoms and lose, so what? My choice.
Might even make me more likely to put effort in to find a proper team.
Atm, I go on the app/forums and Lfg and it's messing around for 10mins to hours to get a group together and it's not really communicative, people sometimes rage quit, there's squeakers and we lose. At least matchmaking would get me that experience quickly. Back at the start of trials recruitment was a viable option, it's just not now. I want to play with anyone of any skill level as a break from my regular team, it'd just not happening. It's all a lot of messing about and wasting time.
Some have said it's not locked. You tried clicking that thing without a fire team? It won't load up buddy, I paid but it's locked. Unless I go in the app or to third party sites or streamers. Nope, I paid for the game, I should be able to play the game.
As a side note-
I understand these arguments agree with raid matchmaking too. IMO I'm not against matchmaking for raids as an option however the requirements for raiding are 'must be Lvl 32' type stuff, which is now easy to reach without raiding, or must have ghorn, which BUNGIE are trying to address and which can be acquired without raiding. I can't go flawless fifteen times or get a 1.5 trials kd without playing trials. I can't play trials with anyone other than my regular group at the times they are available because I haven't gone flawless fifteen times or gotten a 1.5 kd.
Guys with 0.5 kd are looking for 1.5 kd to join!
Always funny when 1.5 kd guys are like 'it's easy to get Lfg, it's just your stats are shit and I'd never okay with you' like yeah, exactly the problem. After adamantly stating its take 1 minute to find a team they are like 'well now it take me about 3 hours cause I check all the stats, Low stats guys probably don't though' Erm yeah, they want a carry more than anyone does!
Finally back to matchmaking for raids...doing hard mode raid? Well must have raid experience, so done normal mode before = box checked.
Plus you only do hard raid once on each character per week. I want to play trials all day all weekend. I never had trouble finding raid partners. Managed to get a few trials teams initially too but that shit is dead now.
Yeah I can see how people want matchmaking for raids, but I think it's possible without. To do 3x setting the time aside to find a team is easy enough I felt, but for trials, finding a new team every other card or so depending...it's a waste of time. I want to be in a match for a quick card when I get home from work and off so I can be up early. Not wasting time writing posts and messaging people. What a pointless, unnecessary ball ache.
I don't care if it gives the opposition an easy win.
Trials it's looking less and less possible to play, let alone win- which isn't the primary concern here, without matchmaking.
Only decent argument I see against it can be solved by some kind of ranked but increasingly difficult type of matchmaking. Some argue that it should stick to connection based too. I'm fine with that, it's just others feel this gives the opponents a free win. Going up against my team is a free win anyway no matter what! So no, I don't mind.
You can hash out the details, I just want into the game I paid for!
I've been flawless once only, got team from chat in a streamers channel after the streamer was done. Lucky card. That was after donkeys on Lfg and forum.
Yeah I've played elimination against a well coordinated pre made all flawless team. No different from going against a team in trials with a Lfg tbh. Yeah, I still want match making in trials.
Yes I am cursed re: time it takes to get a team.

I want people who go flawless to be locked out of trials for that week. If this never happens I will never beat trials.
-
Competitive my arse, 9 in 10 matches are laggy as shit.

1 AntwortenIf you say yes then ur retarded.....
-
Trials would be a bigger joke then Luke smith is on these forums
-
God no. I haven't done trials because I can't get a team together, I refuse to play with randoms in that mode, it would be a slaughter.
-
Yes. So we can stomp them
-
Dude I would love matchmaking! Match made teams in elimination are so much easier than premade in trials. The pub stomping would be real :D
-
Negative on that request... Next
-
Wowza tl;dr but yes I would like matchmaking for trials. There would be a lot more people playing it instead of just tryhards and I really don't want to LFG for pvp events.
-
Play in a Clan. Clan members always want to have a god at trials even if they are not good and just want the armour. Expecting to go to the light house every weekend is another matter, thats team work with players who you get along with and understand their play style. My KD is not great, just above average as I dont play for KD and cap B, yet been to Mercury enough times (lost count, maybe 24) that have all adept guns of every burn variant and so has my 12 year old son who I play with. It took us a while to find a third person in a PVE clan, none of them play crucible, but we did eventually

Matchmaking would make eating flawless waaaaaay to easy as a premade team would have a major advantage

9 AntwortenBearbeitet von Badshah Kazi: 9/1/2015 11:20:55 AM1. Your idea of matchmade teams against matchmade wouldn't make sense. Essentially a God could use matchmaking to fight against blueberries and win. Not a good idea, also won't be implemented. And if matchmade teams go against a team of three from the same clan, you're gonna get rekt. 2. You could get AFKers / noobs / trolls / who could ruin your experience then people would complain even more of terrible people doing trials. 3. You're argument of "I paid for HoW therefore, I deserve to go the Lighthouse" is a half assed argument only a noob would use. You earn your way through to there. 4. Regarding your comment of not joining a clan because of not "always being available", trials isn't something you just pull up on the spot. You plan and organize times with your teammates. If you're a person who just pulls someone up for trials, I'm not surprised you've had a hard time going flawless. 5. Go to #Recruitment, join a clan and then add everyone on there. It's a online game. You need to make friends to make the best of it. Before you say "Hurr durr, but Bungie should have matchmaking", the idea of going in with a team and using communication to overcome the other team using gunskill and mindskill would be pointless. Which is what trials is about. 6. If you want a place to practice, go play regular Elimination. You get unreliable and matchmade teammates there. 7. People who you are matchmade with almost never use the team voice channel. Go play 5 rounds of Skirmish and let me know how many times you actually communicate with someone using the team voice channel. 8. Lots of streamers carry people for free on Twitch. You don't have to pay. 9. Probably the most obvious thing to say on how to win in trials but Git Gud.

Looked at your stats and now it's pretty obvious why you want matchmaking :/
-
6 AntwortenGo play in the elimination playlist and realize how terrible matchmaking would be for Trials.
-
1 AntwortenIt takes me 5 mins from the recruitment forums to get a team
-
You need a squad, if you've ever played a competitive shooter, you'd know. You can't matchmake your way into a Gamebattles match.
-
It would be so easy against matchmade teams lol
-
Where's the Michael Scott "NO NOOO GOD NO...NOOOOOOOOOOOO"
-
Meh, makes 9-0 easier for me
-
3 AntwortenIt's like you haven't played trials enough to realize how bad this idea is. I'm sorry if it's hard to find people to play with, but if it's this much a problem, find a different hobby. Or make new friends, matchmaking won't solve every problem. Weekly Heroic matchmaking was one of the most annoying decisions ever. I don't want to struggle to carry idiots in ToO, it's bad enough in PvE - mindlessly shooting ads that a surprising amount of people can't even handle.
-
Yes . I'd like match making. I'm in a clan, but we rarely to never even play together. I don't know what it's for. So optional matchmaking for everything would be nice. Only twist I'd suggest to go with trials is that what ever team you start up with, that's who you'll remain with. You drop out, then you suffer 2 losts. It would still be 100 glim to get a card if you have a team, but it would be 500 glim and 5 passage coins to get a optional matchmaking card. Kind of some thing to encourage you to make a team for this game mode. That way, the losers would wash themselves out, fast. I mean this a game mode for skilled and arranged teams. However this option would give all a chance to play for the same rewards. Who knows, you may find your weekly team doing this.
