Well I personally am ok with it, as it's the one thing us Veterans have to show our seniority.

What about if you could infuse original QW gear so that it got better stats, looked the same as before, maybe got some new perks (like Rewire: Special melee attacks on Shanks make them your allies) and don't get a I or a II in the corner?

I agree it shows who was there, just saying that there is a point even with the reef in game. If they changed the rewards and armor styles it would be a cool event to try out like IB is
