Edit to all the haters etc keep posting it keeps bumping my post maybe bungie will see ;)
Edit 2 changed title to reflect the rest of the worlds dissatisfaction too.
£40 = $63 ( if this indeed includes tax then £34 = $53.76)

I just did a search on Activision's community website. There is only one thread there asking the question. It's not answered, but at least someone knows where to go. Do yourselves a favour and go bump this thread! You aren't going to get an answer here. https://community.activision.com/message/415835457#415835457

6 AntwortenPretty sure it was over $70 in Aus

3 AntwortenLuke Smith is the issue Deej is supposed to be the community manager and does jack shit but appear as a show pony on streams while Luke Smith announces what they found in the stream of horse crap and used as ideas. Taken King looks nice visually, but with legendaries and some exotics becoming irrelevant I'll pass on it for now.

9 AntwortenThis question will never be answered by Bungie unless they break their deal with Activision and publish the games themselves. How many people on this site are actually daft? How many have sent an inquiry to Activision who is the money handler in this situation? The Developer makes a product to sell, they are paid by the publisher. Bungie is the developer. The Publisher readies, prices, ships the product and collects money. Activision is the publisher.

1 AntwortenIts the Boston tea party 2.0. We are still mad about taxation without representation. Jokes a side, it makes no sense to me I think they are just being money grubbing whores. I live in the U.S. and even at $40 I wont pay. Too many other AAA titles coming in the next few months to be duped again by purchasing sub par DLC.
-
2 AntwortenI came to my senses and cancelled my pre-order. Going to wait until the hype dies down and then see if it's really worth the price of a full game.
-
4 AntwortenThis is the main reason why most of my friends and myself included aren't gonna buy TTK. Its not even that price which is the most annoying bit, £40 is nothing to us, but its more to do with there being no justification from Bungie why there is such a large price difference. Non-US players have been complaining about this ever since TTK was announced 2 months ago, but Bungie fail to address this what so ever, instead they just keep shoving how good TTK is "going" to be down our throats. There's too many good games coming out which are around this price bracket, and these are full games not a dlc!

11 Antwortenexcept Canada! they pay in maple syrup so the exchange rates are all wonky
-
Assuming the £25.50 is without tax, that brings the total, including VAT to £31~ which is £9 cheaper than we're paying. Bungie, we're doing the maths for you and you STILL refuse to acknowledged that exchange rates are a thing. Bull. Shit.
-
I pay more for Guinness so we're even.
-
6 AntwortenWhy didn't you say outside North America?
-
I recommend boycotting TTK.
-
2 AntwortenThis sucks! I'm in the U.S. and may not even get ttk,(we'll see), but this is bullshit. You guys don't pay more for games do you?
-
4 AntwortenHow long has this been an issue and still no official response...? Shocking
-
20 AntwortenIn reality it has to do with your countries distribution laws and taxes. Ask them.
-
2 AntwortenMinimum wage is higher in UK, we earn more money than the U.S. It's all Relative. It's only fair we pay more. I have no issue with it.

4 AntwortenWhy compare prices to the U.S.? For petrol were paying roughly $1.75 on average, U.S. Pay $0.78 on average. For alcohol we pay around £4 a pint on average, go to Prague and you can get a pint for 40-50p.
