So is swordbearing a new art all of a sudden?
Every crota raid I've done this week no one knew how to or even wanted to attempt it. I practically learned on the spot
Edit: I know it's easy guys. I don't really like doing it but yes it is easy

Its hard to get a group of people patient enough to allow the time it takes someone to learn something new like the sword. I've started many runs were our objective was to teach someone the sword when we got there, only to have everyone say they just want to get the Raid over with by the time we got to that point. Its tough when there's someone in the group who can run the sword, to try and teach someone else how to do it.

I've got 3 kills with the sword having only just started using it. I've only been using invis to take out the swordbearer though so I guess I could do it on warlock and Titan too. I'm still learning though. Never used the relic. By the time I ran my first vog every other clan member was an expert so I've never needed to.

1 AntwortenIt's not hard it's about timing. But it is intimidating to get in front of everyone and feel like your wasting their time. But hey until you decided to run the sword you were also someone who never did it either.

I enjoy running relic and sword bearing. I like being the one people rely on to beat the boss!

Can run it on all 3 characters. So easy to do now. Just 3 hit, walk away, 3 hit fly away. And repeat one more set and he is dead.

3 AntwortenHaha ye it seems so. I switched over to ps4 from the 360 and had to do the sword at Crota normal with my 32 voidwalker :D

It is so easy now as a 34. It use to be 18 heavy slams (lvl32) but now it's 11, lol.

I prefer running relic, but I can sword bear if necessary.

Noticed a whole bunch of new players in destiny a few weeks back i guess they must be at that stage where they can do crotas end..good luck to all those vets helping out

Swordbearing is easy if they can time it and know how ti run.

Crota is a still a little buggy. Sometimes for whatever reason he seems to stand up really fast. I've only had success with my Hunter at least on hard mode. I'm not very good with the sword, problem is nobody wants to take the time to let people learn.

Ah, that moment I took the sword for the first time. It's such a great moment after all those times I just watched the swordbearer do his thing, while all I did was shoot rockets. [spoiler]after 5-10 times, it started getting easy[/spoiler]

1 AntwortenWas just talking about this with a friend the other night. It's a shame that so few of the people on our friends list are willing to pick up the relic or the sword. I'm honestly tired of being the one who steps up and does this as it is so easy to do I feel there's no excuse at this point for not learning. I walked someone through their first hard sword a couple weeks ago. We wiped twice then once he found the rythm it was two perfect swords and we were done.

2 AntwortenWhen I switched over to XB1 I ran a hard raid on a freshly minted 34 and my grimore was only around 1500 or so. Someone asked, "Who can run sword?" And I volunteered. I was met with, "You're a noob though." I just said, "Aghh, give me one shot, I watched some YouTube videos." Blew their mind after I killed him with one sword.

4 AntwortenMost experienced players are taking a break from Destiny or have no need to do the raids anymore. Most of the people still running it are new and inexperienced.

I've done it one time and I was nervous but I did get it done so you know no harassment for being bad even though I got volunteered
