Should Xur be left behind
So Bungie keeps saying they're moving into more reliable ways to earn the gear you want. With this being the case, IF they've made it so exotic armors and weapons are earned reliably via activities, is Xur's time up?
Personally I think handouts should be over. I know I'd have not gotten most of the new exotic armors without Xur, however I'd have much rather had an activity, bounty, or quest line offered to drop new exotic engrams (that wouldn't turn into year one exotics) than buy from Xur.
Edit: So it started with well over 50% wanting xur to hand them gear, but those who wanna earn it from strikes and raids are growing. If you voted, tell us what you'd consider yourself, mega casual, casual, average, hardcore, or no - life-but-destiny

I literally have 300 coins without me messing with weeklys hardly ever at this point. It was understandable the first couple of months and you keep Xur there to get people on their feet. But seriously by now coins are so abundant and so many things have been sold repeatedly I think Xur should be taken out for year 2 and only sell year 1 items

1 AntwortenIf all exotics from TTK on were questable I wouldn't see an issue with this. In fact, I fully believe they should questify any exotics brought forward. Then Xur would be a heavy ammo, exotic shard, and year 1 blueprint salesmen.

7 AntwortenYou shouldn't make the option against your opinion so bias. I myself am an average player never had trouble with your so called "earning" of exotics. By the time Xur usually sold it I already had it. But did that make me lament the players who weren't able to acquire the weapons and armor through means of RNG? No, I couldn't give a crap less. Neither should you. There is nothing that is earned in this game save for exotic bounties and raid exotics. So I'm for Xur keeping up with the times.

I think that you should have to work towards your gear, but that RNG shouldn't be the main determinant in what you get. I like the idea of exotic quest lines and things like that. Maybe the raid exotic could require you to clear the raid 10 times along with other things, but at least you would KNOW that you would be getting it, and you would feel gratified about earning it when you do.

He should sell different stuff everyday call it xur-mart special offers and stuff he only sells exotics and most of them are crap anyway

I think he should continue to sell only year one exotics including the ps exclusives the Xbox users will now get. There are still a few year one exotic guns id like to fill my collection, that id never use anyway but just want to show up in that little kiosk so I don't want him gone forever. But j don't want to be able to buy the next great guns of year 2

Similar to how he doesn't sell any of the exotic bounty weapons. It could also be done so that he only sells the new exotic armours. But regardless of what we say, it is all what Bungie's wants to do that will happen. :) [spoiler]Also I am a casual. [/spoiler]
