Community Managers, will you address this in the BWU?
DeeJ, Cozmo, and maybe Urk if possible,
Would you mind explaining to the community the statement "not all year 1 exotics will be upgraded to year 2" in the Weekly update?
Because most people are very angry about the arbitrary leaving behind of their favourite exotics.
While I don't believe that is the case, I do not want to state my theory due to it bringing up arguments.
I just want a solid answer of what will be happening. And I would like to think that the rest of the community is dying for answers as well.
Edit: COZMO REPLIED! And according to the weekly update, the weapons brought to year 2 are getting a redesign! :) Sadly the weapons that aren't brought to year 2 will stay at year 1 levels. :( oh well, we'll find a way to manage.

7 AntwortenYour nerds need to calm down....all that salt is hard on your blood pressure.....this is why Bungie shouldn't do any reveals....just let you Cryhards discover things for yourselves....I'm going to have fun in year 2 with or without my Sunbreakers......but...but we grinded all year for these weapons.....who cares.....it's time to set your sights higher and strive for the next great selection of exotics....If you don't like to grind for new stuff, then save yourself 9 years of tears and leave now....and all of your current gear exotics and legendaries alike are still the same weapon they've always been in crucible....minus IB and Trials....Time for Bungie to remove your training wheels......

11 AntwortenDo any of you not understand MMOS?? as much as you will say Destiny is not an mmo... it is... it has every element of an MMO/FPS. Be grateful you can take some exotics with you.... who the -blam!- wants to be using the same exotic weapons through the destiny life span.... In MMOS past gear become cosmetic items and thats is. Id rather none of the Year 1 exotics be reusable and we get 20 new ones. If Ghorn was getting an upgrade why on earth would you use anything but Ghorn?? you wouldnt!! how -blam!-ing boring. This is coming from a BETA player, had 8 characters, 1200+ hours played, max grimoire, over 100 raid completions etc.

Beyond pissed and discouraged over the pointless nerfs to the best weapons in the game....and they aren't even being brought into TTK. Unreal...unacceptable. I feel like a douchebag for being interested in this game at all....-blam!-ing joke. All lies and hype on this mother-blam!-er.

Been holding out on getting this till more is known. Not making my year one mistake again. They keep throwing things at us who have been playing since day one, but looking into it all, everyone can really get everything. Saying thank you to early adopters, then allowing everyone to get everything is a slap in the face. Purposely both needing ghorn, and leaving it behind is just the same thing again. They said before the game came out that it's how WE play the game, but every change has been to manipulate that exact thing towards how THEY want it played. Just because ghorn is fantastic, doesn't make it bad, so don't arbitrarily nerf things, find new and useful tasks for them. Nerfing both ice breaker and ghorn just tells me that oryx will be another bullet sponge that these two weapons would work awesome on.

But why do this? Why won't all exotics go to Year 2? So no we're only able to use a few Year 1 exotics & a handful of Year 2? More of Bungies "play how we want you to"

And if cozmo could clear up being able to still get year one exotics, that'd be great. And finally, are there any new exotics, Exotics that are brand new and aren't just a year two upgrade. I understand the Fate of all Fools, 347 Vesta Dynasty, Jade Rabbit, and Sleeper Stimulant are all new exotics but what about the armor? And any more than the few weapons we know of? There are supposed to be more content then in the original game, vanilla if you will, and from the way the exotics are looking...
