Destiny killed CoD.
Or...any other FPS for that matter. It's my opinion (understand this) and title says it all. All I see on here is so and so game is going to kill Destiny. However, so far year one Destiny has been my #1 game and so much fun has and spoiled my previous love for CoD and other FPS games. Can't see myself going backwards to CoD. RIP CoD! You were great while you lasted but there's a new champ in town. Who's with me?
Edit 1: only posting this because of the hype surrounding Bo3, which I've preordered to play the beta next week. After watching the stream I'm not excited to play but might because of friends playing.
Edit 2: Apparently cod killed it's self, which I completely agree with. Although, we got to give Destiny credit for raising the bar for FPS by taking it to the next level on some space age sh*t.
Edit 3: to everyone saying CoD killed themselves, consider this. A ton of people still love the series for whatever reasons and if battlefield and Destiny hadn't come along CoD would be extremely more popular and probably still be the top dog fps. Food for thought, you do the dishes.
Edit 4: for all the diehard CoD fans that play Destiny tell me you would rather play another boring and tired CoD game than lets say a Destiny 2? Doubt it

I'll enjoy BO3 zombie. Destiny however kills it for me. It was a fun game but with the dlc we had recently it felt like I was cheated. I mean really? The only thing I bought basically was just to speed thing up?

1 AntwortenI left CoD way before destiny came out. Ghost killer it off for me. I was in love with black ops 2. Had every diamond gun of that says anything. But then ghost came out the maps were horrid and the spawns and guns were worse. I'm hoping Black ops 3 if better than recent CoD. I would play it more than destiny.

No cod killed cod. They took everything that made it fun to play and took it out then added a load of mlg type crap and made it boring. Also the last 2 cods were bad even by cod standards.

I left COD years ago. Went to BF3 loved it. Then discovered Destiny. Haven't gone back.

8 Antworten"Raises the bar for fps" Destiny on next gen consoles is 6 vs 6. Battlefield 3 had 12 vs 12 on PS3 and Xbox 360. Most guns in Destiny are obsolete in PvP. Counter strike is more competitive than Destiny. Battlefield has vehicles which affect gameplay. The only thing destiny is slightly better at is vertical gameplay.

I'll be spending a great deal of time from October 27th onwards doing absolutely everything possible in Halo. Looks like it's going to be a magnificent game. Warzone looks like total chaos, which to me means lots of laughs coming my way, either from stupid shit happening me or to everyone else.

CoD committed suicide, destiny didn't have to do anything really. After ghosts I got tired of buying the same repetitive $60 game just because "ooh looks new and shiny" and don't forget the "oh! A few new mechanics!" Plus the dlc that costs $20 for 4 new pvp maps and MAYBE a new gun and zombies. I hated zombies, a lot of people liked it I'm sure but just not for me.
