Destiny killed CoD.
Or...any other FPS for that matter. It's my opinion (understand this) and title says it all. All I see on here is so and so game is going to kill Destiny. However, so far year one Destiny has been my #1 game and so much fun has and spoiled my previous love for CoD and other FPS games. Can't see myself going backwards to CoD. RIP CoD! You were great while you lasted but there's a new champ in town. Who's with me?
Edit 1: only posting this because of the hype surrounding Bo3, which I've preordered to play the beta next week. After watching the stream I'm not excited to play but might because of friends playing.
Edit 2: Apparently cod killed it's self, which I completely agree with. Although, we got to give Destiny credit for raising the bar for FPS by taking it to the next level on some space age sh*t.
Edit 3: to everyone saying CoD killed themselves, consider this. A ton of people still love the series for whatever reasons and if battlefield and Destiny hadn't come along CoD would be extremely more popular and probably still be the top dog fps. Food for thought, you do the dishes.
Edit 4: for all the diehard CoD fans that play Destiny tell me you would rather play another boring and tired CoD game than lets say a Destiny 2? Doubt it

I bought witcher 3 and can't get into it because all my friends play this game and it's to easy to just casually play. One thing bungie got right. This game is like a really shitty drug. It's okay though. Looks like our dealer is giving us more quality goods next month Ps. Destiny never actually brought anything new to the table. It's good parts of a lot of different games. Hopefully ttk is very good cus atm Destinys the best 7/10 you'll ever play

1 AntwortenI have always been a hardcore BF player. Haven't touched BF4 since destiny came out. P.S: The night maps that care coming out do look sweet. I might give them a shot.

If they remake a modern warfare. I would play the sh*t out of that. Right now I love destiny. Best game ever. But as soon as halo comes out. My pvp focus will be solely on that

CoD got old years ago. That franchise was over after MW2.

Destiny came out at a smart time. A few months after the rush of new shooters, making it a fresh experience for consumers. There has yet to be another shooter release since.

Playing the beta this cod actually looks and feels good. It wipes the floor with destinys pvp. If they can make the pve campaign interesting and put loot in it it could be great.

You do realise that Activision has their hands both CoD and Destiny, right? CoD sucks but they know people will always buy it. Destiny didn't kill it. Think about the two most popular games right now: CoD: AW and Destiny. They're making money either way. Hell, they even have weapon skins that have Destiny factions on them and when you get kills it gives you faction rep.

7 AntwortenDestiny did not raise the bar on anything. It just happens to be the best fps to come out for new consoles only because nothing else good has come out. It's not even that great of a game, but it's all we have.

2 AntwortenI saw some BO3 play on youtube.. does anyone know if they're still using the same graphics engine ? I mean, the game looks so, so last-gen. Movement is very unrealistic and with zero sense of weight and any kind of inertia to it, graphics very blunt, I mean I just thought.. wow is this really a game that is coming out now ? The only reason I could see myself playing that over anything else is if I loved to play a game that will do three 360 in half-blink of an eye, then yeah, seems like COD is still king. But I always hated that, so not for me.

honestly if COD went back to the original two and (WaW) types I would be very interested in playing them but as it stands the games are boring to me and the new stuff they are introducing like exo suits do not entertain me at all.
