Last gen preventing more vault space you say?!?!
Take that last gen haters!!!!!!!!! Whats your new excuse that last gen is holding destiny back?!!!
Edit 1: I do plan on updating prior to destiny 2. Just waiting for a slim version of the ps4. So stop with the elitist comments that I'm to poor to upgrade.

Edit 4 : the ps4 is not slim! Its not a slim version. Some of you kids don't understand that Sony always makes slim versions of each console. The ps1 was already slim yet sony managed to make a slimmer version of it.

2 AntwortenLast gen its still holding back, only running 30 fps the xbox one can go to 60fps so can the PS4 I think. If it were at 60 we would be able to destroy a drop ship, not just the guns.

1 AntwortenSorry but it just is. It's outdated. Plain and simple. It's not that it can't run anymore and you need to toss it in the trash. Hell, I bought a new 360 last year and threw the old one the trash just so I can keep a viable option to play my old games in the years to come. But to say that it's not holding the current generation back is absurd. It just doesn't have the computing power. If they were to sit down and design it for the new generation only there could be a lot of minor or major (who knows what kind of creativity they can come up with) differences that could be implemented outside of course the whole "better graphics" argument because yes graphics are better but not to some extreme level so I feel that point is mute. Besides I'm not mad that it isn't new generation exclusive because the old generation is still around and it is business but for people to try with a straight face to say the old generation is NOT holding back new generation is just false.

7 AntwortenAhhhh man... Let me break it down to you all. Is last gen holding the game back, absolutely. They cannot make too many changes to a given entry because of hardware limitations. Taken king will REQUIRE a new purchase of a digital download or disc. What does this mean? New coding and architecture under the hood that allows for large changes. The problem happens when things start to get patched WITHIN that infrastructure. The hardware can only do so much because of processing at any given time. So because it is a large download with new things running under the hood, this can happen. Yet I am almost sure that changes that happen in the future will be limited on last gen consoles because of the hardware.

8 AntwortenLast gen is still the reason a lot of things were held back in destiny such has planet sizes and being dropped off in game from your ship. In fact the only reason we got more vault space was because the completely redesigned the vault.

Well, it was, in a way. The issue was inability to handle so many bits of data held on the same screen (so says Bungie). They simply found a way around that.
