Take that last gen haters!!!!!!!!! Whats your new excuse that last gen is holding destiny back?!!!
Edit 1: I do plan on updating prior to destiny 2. Just waiting for a slim version of the ps4. So stop with the elitist comments that I'm to poor to upgrade.
Edit 2 : I provided a video where the author explains why the ps3 is still the best!
Edit 3 : PS3 FTW!
Edit 4 : the ps4 is not slim! Its not a slim version. Some of you kids don't understand that Sony always makes slim versions of each console. The ps1 was already slim yet sony managed to make a slimmer version of it.

8 AntwortenXbox one needs to hurry up with backwards compatibility and then I'll upgrade. Until then, eat my shorts.

1 AntwortenThey had to get rid of one of the Towers NPC so the PS3 could accommodate the new Vault Space design.

18 AntwortenIn the overall picture, last gen is holding current gen back big time.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von kingstack: 8/23/2015 5:58:25 PMThe vault space argument was bull shit. It was just bad design. But last gen is holding the game back. Just xbone & ps4 will hold back their respective replacements!

4 AntwortenSaw this post on r/destinythegame regarding vault space. Posted by u/EvayoInfinity The whole "memory issues" thing they went on about ages ago.. they just solved it by adding pages. Let me preface this by saying I apologize if I come off as salty--I promise it's not personal, I'm just very tired and prone not to proofread my language--but as someone who knows a couple people in programming, this is a gross over-simplification of the amount of work that had to have gone into this. They overhauled the entire UI for the vault. They didn't simply "add" something, they redesigned and re-coded the thing from the ground up. The fact that the issue lies with last-gen RAM limitations is indisputable--just ask the myriad of 360 and PS3 players who currently don't have the ability to view drop-down menus for the items in their vaults because it was the only way to expand their space without overloading the system's processors. Yes, perhaps they should've foreseen vault space being an issue during development and fixed it for launch. But the fact remains that they didn't, it wasn't properly optimized for last-gen systems, and thus all of us were left wondering when (or if) we'd get more space. Now they've given it to us, and I can only imagine the technical hurdles they had to overcome to make it happen. It was a similar thing with the infamous heavy ammo glitch; it was a problem so deeply rooted in the game's code that it took months for the programmers to find its source, and it branched into so many aspects of gameplay that extracting it became a puzzle in and of itself. I feel like they held on to this feature so that 2.0 sounds bigger and that you're getting more for your buck. While I'm not going to deny that they held stuff back for the expansions (I mean it's kind of obvious at this point), I think the idea that this was something they purposefully withheld is just a touch absurd. The idea that most QOL changes were actually made and waiting to be implemented is absurd, really. It's not as if I have evidence to the contrary, but the fact that players will be getting the extra vault space regardless of if they purchase TTK just makes me think the "getting more for your buck" rhetoric is arbitrary.

It was on destiny 1 not on a entirely new update
-
5 AntwortenHonestly I think it was just a scam to get people to switch consoles which means they would have to buy the legendary edition which is $20 more then the TTK
-
8 AntwortenLevel size and complexity are held back by last generation hardware, your move.

9 AntwortenPS3 plays in sub HD literally can't hit 720p at 30 FPS. That's kinda sad

1 AntwortenThat video.... Made my brain cells commit suicide lol

5 AntwortenStop being a sony pony all consoles are the same they all suck #PCMasterRace
-
2 AntwortenI'm super happy you love your PS3, but the main reason people bring that issue up is because bungie used that as an excuse when more vault space was originally demanded long ago.

1 AntwortenOut of all four consoles, Ps3 is the worst. By far.
-
3 AntwortenOld gen allegedly couldn't support having more than what was on screen. They fixed it by having the screens tab between different screens.

2 AntwortenThat dude in that video is an idiot, kids growing up are going to ruin the future
-
2 AntwortenI can't believe vault space is something we have to get excited about. Meanwhile I can hold infinite items in most other games or Damn near it.

2 Antwortentry destiny six years in the making - destiny GDC2015 .. there they explain that destiny was developed on Ps3 /xbox360 .. no "new gen" console.. they were ported shortly before launch..
-
3 AntwortenYou are in no point to rage here. Because it was a fact that last gen holded the vault back. After the last vault increase, BUNGIE STATED that they couldnt make it bigger since last gen couldnt handle more items on the screen at the same time. That is why ppl are saying that last gen holds Destiny back. Because BUNGIE stated that. I suggested pages straight away after that, thinking that would fix the issue but Bungie replyed to me saying that wasnt an option either as last gen still couldnt handle that. So why it can now, i dont know. I'm just happy that i wont have to delete everything to make space.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von donovindawson111: 8/22/2015 4:31:52 PMCommon sense-the more inefficient systems we have connected will slow everything down. The PS3 and 360 simply can't keep up. Let go of the past already What's the next complaint gonna be? why your graphics suck? Cmon man
