Edit: Why have you all decided to start responding on this post again?
As someone who struggles with getting Fireteams together, I wish Destiny would allow Raids to have a matchmaking element. It should always be an option, no matter if you already have a Fireteam or not. Nobody will join a Fireteam if you do not want to speak over mic, and I find talking with people I've never met incredibly awkward and annoying. Not that the people are annoying, just the amount of unknown factors of douchiness that go in to public chats. I hope SOMEONE agrees, because I have not been able to take part in any raids because my friend who plays Destiny is online at different times and it's hard to create a Fireteam. It also seems as though it makes you feel left out because it talks about "Playing online and communicating and making friends", to which I say that Online Friends are just pixels and a muffled voice, they are not true friends.
Edit 1: This has truly become quite the discussion! I've joined some groups now that are constantly posting stuff about raids. Matchmaking should still be an option though. Keep up the good discussion! Maybe Bungie will notice(just kidding-they don't give a shit)

9 AntwortenBecause people are terrible, and for every person like you who honestly wants to complete the activity, there are 5 who would make it thier mission to make sure you did not complete said activity
-
7 AntwortenWould you like people being afk like in strikes
-
1 AntwortenIt could be made an option so you didn't have to matchmake if you'd prefer to lfg. I think everybody could have what they wanted that way.
-
Why can't you quit being a baby and use the forums or run strike playlist and send this thing called a friend request to people you meet.
-
5 AntwortenBecause afkers and griefers. Use a group finding website.
-
1 AntwortenBungie needs to implement a LFG system inside of Destiny. You put yourself in a queue or start a party and filter for users and send invites. Everyone in the group gathers in a pre-fireteam lobby and can communicate before commiting to playing together.
-
1 AntwortenDude suck it up and make some friends. Or continue not playing the best parts of this game...
-
Who would be the fire team leader?
-
1 AntwortenI mean if they did that they there would be people playing inactive for drops
-
1 AntwortenYou can still make a group and bypass matchmaking if you want, there's no reason not to have it
-
You know after multiple attempts at raids with how it is now I honestly feel as if matchmaking wouldn't make a difference. People are going to mess up, not follow orders, try to raid with out a mic, and quit either way... At least in my opinion. So I don't care if they it or not.
-
3 AntwortenI would like matchmaking. If the group I get matched with sucks I'd just back out and send invited to the better players then rinse and repeat till you get a full fireteam.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von schoat333: 8/18/2015 2:31:31 PMDo a hard mode raid with a team that has no idea what they are doing, and doesn't talk. Then come back and tell us what you think.

4 AntwortenIt's would be another way for AFK'ers to get free stuff without even trying. Hope matchmaking never comes to Raids and wish I could disable it for the Weekly Heroic.

Bearbeitet von Dwarfenheimer: 8/18/2015 11:48:20 PMThink about how frustrating running strikes or Poe 28 with randoms can be. Then think about how complex a raid can be. You want fifteen hours of VoG hm? Especially if people don't use fireteam chat? If you want a reliable fireteam that will communicate and it won't be awkward, find a clan that has similar play style or maturity level as you. It makes it easier. There is no excuse not to have raided almost a year later.
-
1 AntwortenIt would end up like that optional voice chat that no one uses. Lmao.
-
4 AntwortenWith Bungie there is no OPTION. I mean thanks to all of you I am now forced to carry people through the weekly.
-
Have you heard of the Titanic? Use lfg. I managed to complete over 100 raids using it. Everyone has Gjallarhorn now, so that shouldn't be an issue. That said, optional would be fine.
-
Can you imagine 5 people with no mics trying to do vog if they have never done it before? And 1 guy who actually has. I would quit straight away
-
2 AntwortenPeople complain about the matchmaking on the weekly heroic but honestly, I haven't encountered a single problem since it was introduced. If someone goes AFK, who cares? Just do your own thing.
-
4 AntwortenWhilst you may not class them as being true friends which is a valid point. I've met some really decent people on here. Yes some a douches. But give it a try. It might take a few but it will be worth it. Your missing out on a load of content. If you still don't like it fair enough. You've give it a try.
-
1 AntwortenRight? There's no reason why there shouldn't be an OPTION to do it.
-
Let's be honest, ever since they fixed the drop chances in VoG we've mostly played raids at max level. So why not have optional Mm for people who are max level, or atleast the max level of the gear you can get from the raid in question (so if VoG is still lvl 30 in TTK you need to be atleast lvl 30 for that raid ...and so forth with Crota and the new raid).

I like no raid matchmaking it's fun to solo as much as VOG As I can or 2 man it

Year 2 raids should be co-op until year 3 starts, then year 2 raids would also revert to matchmaking etc etc.

Same situation. Matchmaking would be amazing
