Edit: Why have you all decided to start responding on this post again?
As someone who struggles with getting Fireteams together, I wish Destiny would allow Raids to have a matchmaking element. It should always be an option, no matter if you already have a Fireteam or not. Nobody will join a Fireteam if you do not want to speak over mic, and I find talking with people I've never met incredibly awkward and annoying. Not that the people are annoying, just the amount of unknown factors of douchiness that go in to public chats. I hope SOMEONE agrees, because I have not been able to take part in any raids because my friend who plays Destiny is online at different times and it's hard to create a Fireteam. It also seems as though it makes you feel left out because it talks about "Playing online and communicating and making friends", to which I say that Online Friends are just pixels and a muffled voice, they are not true friends.
Edit 1: This has truly become quite the discussion! I've joined some groups now that are constantly posting stuff about raids. Matchmaking should still be an option though. Keep up the good discussion! Maybe Bungie will notice(just kidding-they don't give a shit)

The last thing I want in a raid is some mute random. Who knows their skill, aptitude, or if they'll even contribute, or just hide in a corner AFK. Communication is paramount in raids, as well as participation.
to which I say that Online Friends are just pixels and a muffled voice, they are not true friends.
Doesn't have to be. Many people in the 7th column networked and met up in person with those they played with online. At least, those that were members pre-Destiny did. Seems there are more kids around these days and you'd be arrested for pedophilia.

I just wish there was a way to learn an practice the content so when you join groups your more experienced i don't have a group of friends that i can stuff around with learning new content so ye

3 AntwortenOh...your one of those guys..,with no friends...uhm yeah...uhm...Lel sucks to suck

Because Bungie likes to promote elitism

Peekis approves.

Add easy mode and make the loot on par with Vendor Gear, then have normal and hard mode like we do now. Easy mode will have search system. You get loot and get to experience the content, all while having the matchmaking.
-
Because I can solo most of Crota and would rather do that then be put into a group of children.
-
I don't see why not. I just don't think you'll see a very high success rate in the matchmade groups, but I could be wrong. Maybe a matchmaking difficulty where the raid mechanics are dialed back but yields less powerful gear as the normal and hard modes do. That way you experience the raid, but the people who take the time to put a fire team together, get the better rewards.
-
I didn't know you wanted your party to be full of people who think they can solo the Raid.
-
I think raid matchmaking should be an option something selectable, I dont know why PoE is not completly match making if your the required level.
-
Matchmaking is dumb for Riads and Nightfalls. Need communication

1 AntwortenI would like it. Even if it was to auto fill out an undermanned team. If I have four friends and matchmaking adds two noobs, that's fine. Also playing with randoms is great PRACTICE to learn the mechanics of the raid. Once a raid has been released for a while, randoms will either figure it out or stop trying. So a matchmaking team would be fine to get through a raid eventually.

It's not that hard I never knew how to get any raids until I found about the recruitment side on the forums in late Christmas(give or take a month).

Bearbeitet von Nalkysos: 8/19/2015 3:48:17 PMOn normal? Sure. I'm not convinced it would work on hard. Had too many gumbies at crota that couldn't figure out how to shoot a rocket, let alone distract boomers or run sword. I'm not even going to think about VoG hard with nobody having mics, or their sound turned off. Also, if you are on ps3 I'll gladly raid with you.

because Bungie

I agree I only have one of my friends who also plays destiny and matchmaking would make it easier
-
I agree. As a Xbox 360 player I have only 2 friends that play it with me. So it gets frustrating at times when you just wanna get Fatebringer or something and NO one is online.

1 AntwortenSo many people crying on here like optional matchmaking would affect how they play the game. If you don't want to use it then don't use it, but there's plenty of us who just want to click a button and hop into a raid without having to bother with the forums and recruitment. Having a mic won't help bad players perform better. Common sense and basic perception will. I've been in plenty of groups where a couple people spend most of the raid dead while the rest of us carry them, and mics certainly didn't help them then. If you can't be bothered with making a full turn to check for Oracles when you hear them, then you're destined to fail, period. If mics are that much of an issue for people then most will bring them. Most people I've raided with don't talk anyway, they do the obvious thing and listen to instruction.

3 AntwortenThen it would never be completed. Could you imagine trying to run a raid with 2AFK + a plyr that has never run a raid? RNG can bad enough. I hope that never happens

Everybody on here who complains about other players not being as good as themselves, you guys are the ones who suck you guys are gaming snobs..what's so bad about teaching a newbie some tricks

Join a clan, end of discussion, thanks for reading....

Yes and no. I think they should add match making to give people the options. Nothing says you'd have to use it, and you could still use lfg so it's not the apocalypse some would have you think. That said, how useful it would be... I don't know. Alot of players wouldn't have mics, might mess about or go afk. Also those saying about noobs etc. Remember everyone has to start some where. And match making would probably lower the amount of them since more people would be inclined to at least try to raid

2 AntwortenHow is it possible to struggle getting a fireteam? I'm an older gamer 30's with no gamer friends. Yet I find it painfully easy to find teams and some really good teams I don't belong to a clan, probably should but I use lfg and it works great I do not understand why this is so difficult for people
