Report them for inactivity every single time. If everyone reports the people who are constantly AFK on purpose, they will be locked out of doing strikes like people get locked out of crucible for cheating.

Is there any evidence of what you're saying? The only thing people get banned in is ToO.
-
People have been locked out of strikes for repetitive inactivity. It takes multiple reports to.warrant investigation, that's why I said report them every time.
-
But how do you know this? Do you know anyone that this has actually happened to?
-
I've seen it very rarely, probably because people are more report happy in PvP. None of my friends have been locked out because they don't do this bs.
-
So you don't know at all then for a fact. Just like I dont know for a fact that it does nothing reporting outside of ToO. But the thing is I've never seen a thread on here of anyone saying outside of ToO that they were banned from strikes and crucible for anything you can report them for.

Bearbeitet von Cayde Seven: 8/15/2015 1:28:09 PMYes I do know for a fact it has happened, and can happen. A weekly update from April: https://www.bungie.net/en/News/News?aid=12738 They state sitting idle/ going afk in strikes and crucible "has been on our radar for a while now".and "a small number of the most toxic... have been banned from matchmaking...temporarily...and will be allowed to play again once they clean up their act." So there are instances where maybe the phone rings or maybe someone gets home and you are afk for most of a strike and you didn't back out... No big deal... But if you're rubberbanding your remote and watching netflix because "grinding strikes is boring" but you want the rewards, That's why I report every time. If someone has 20+ reports issued on them every week for inactivity (or whatever the threshold is) they should get a time-out from matchmaking. Plus, the reports would be coming from teammates in strikes, as opposed to when butthurt people report an opposing player for kicking their ass in PvP. So I report every time in strikes for afk. If everyone did perhaps more people would get time-outs and less people would do it. I will admit grinding strikes can be boring as hell, but if I'm gonna grind it, I'm not gonna carry an afker, I'll report, and try to get the active person with me to sit down or dance with the afk person. If they don't start playing, I go to orbit and find a new match.

Personally I think the reporting system is bs anyway and nothing seems to happen outside of ToO. I'm sure it's just there for peace of mind.
