I'm not in the military. I am too young. Both my grandfathers were, and I am proud to say they were. I think it is absolutely incredible that people go across the world to keep this amazing country safe. You put your county before yourself, and that in and of itself is the most heroic thing you can do. Thank You

Thank you all for your service, you are the true heroes, and to all the assholes that call them killers and murders they are the reason you can live in this great country and say terrible shit like that.

5 AntwortenI was scrolling through the comments seeing a lot of hate. Im not in the military or anything, actually going to high school this year, but I just really want to thank the people who fight for me to have a safe, fulfilling life. I genuinely mean this from the bottom of my heart. Your courage and bravery inspires and motivates people. Sometimes I even feel bad because all the tough situations you face, sometimes life or death, and Im sitting here playing Destiny you know? I just wanted you guys to know that you are appreciated and some of the greatest people. Wanted to put a smile on someones face and make them feel good. God Bless America, and the people who serve to protect it.

8 AntwortenThe amount of people that grew up in a bubble... All you have experienced your whole life is this naive bubble that you grew up in. The bubble where you could do as you please, say as you please cause you grew up that way. This made you entitled, ignorant, naive, disrespectful and gave you the sense that you know everything.... I'm here to tell you, your wrong and foolish. The U.S. Military's job is to defend our freedom and the BEST INTEREST OF THE U.S. that includes our way of life, our abundance and cheap gas, all the things you take for granted cause you've had it your whole life and feel entitled to it. If you live in the U.S. and want to be this entitled, naive, disrespectful know it all foolish prick... THEN GET THE -blam!- OUT OF MY COUNTRY... But the other side to you is that you are a coward and will just continue living in a country that you talk down upon the troops.. I'm not saying the troops are better than civilians, if you think that then you have some personal insecurities, cause I would never put myself above anybody in my country. Did you forget what our grandfathers fought for in world war 2? Yes it was freedom. Today it is to "nip it in the bud" as we say. Take the fight to the enemy and weaken them so we do not get another terrorist attack. There are other reasons for what we are doing over there. If you don't agree, that is fine. Just shut the -blam!- up and move along. But if you feel like you hate the country and its troops soo much then I'll say it again... GET THE -blam!- OUT MY COUNTRY... SSGT USMC 2004-2015

1 AntwortenThank you for your service. The amount of ignorance and the lack of appreciation on this thread makes me sick.

Why would anyone be proud of this? I suppose it reduces the number of mass-murderers on the streets of the USA. Jingoism is grotesque.

34 AntwortenBearbeitet von PocketInfinity: 8/12/2015 11:08:03 PMDon't really care. Being military doesn't make you any better than the common man. Where was the military when my house was burning? Nowhere the fire department and police came to my aid. Where does 7% of my paycheck go to? The government which funds the military. Defending my country? By what going to a different country and fcking them up outta vengeance or oil? I'll give the military props though because without them technology wouldn't have a reason to keep advancing. I don't hate the military I just don't care for it. For i was fostered child from the Vietnam War era. Because of all the struggles of living in refugee camps. I dont find the military necessary because when two militarized powers clash war breaks out as well as death and famine. Any real veteran would understand my point of view.

Bearbeitet von Gustav: 8/16/2015 12:57:51 AMSometimes I wonder why you guys are proud of defending a nation as... urgh, overweight as the US. Although, I guess I can see why.

4 AntwortenCongratulations and thank you. I however am over this attitude from military servicemen that they are somehow better than everyone else. A lot of us do service for our country through different means, but you don't see us making these posts. These posts are so damn common. People in the military are not better than anyone else, and it's time someone sat these arrogant kids down. Thank you for your service, but get over it, you're not more special than a teacher trying to educate your children or a fireman servicing our neighborhoods.
