Will Starwars Battlefront sink Destiny?
After watching the trailer and reading about the game I think that destiny players will slowly start switching over.

1 AntwortenI play Destiny because I'm in love with the game mechanics. I've played Battlefield, and that game's mechanics are dogshit. If it was made by Treyarch, my interest would be piqued, but Dice does nothing to excite me.

Na it won't, Destiny is pretty safe from being killed off by anything, if only for the reason that it blends multiple genres. So the fan base is more diverse than regular games. A straight up shooter like Battlefront won't draw every Player away from Destiny, just like ESO and the Witcher 3 didn't. They took the hardcore RPG/MMO fans but some of the more casual guys stayed or split their time, and none of the FPS guys left for those games. Most of the RPG/MMO guys aren't gonna leave for a pure shooter, even a Star Wars one.

They're quite a few games coming out over the next few months that will take away from people playing. Add to that people feeling like they wasted a year on a game that wasn't finished. Does TTK look good? Yes, so far it does. That doesn't mean everyone is willing to go out and buy it when they can get something new for around the same price, or in the UK for cheaper. I'm sure that there will be quite a few people that stick with the game and also quite a few that quit. Also, there will be a lot of newcomers to the franchise.

that's like saying, "are the chicago bears going to sink the cleveland indians." they're two totally different types of games. people play destiny for loot, sweet gun mechanics, and competitive multiplayer (if you want to call it that). there hasn't been a game in history that has all of those the way destiny does. there is only one other studio that really makes games that have the first two in them, and that studio is gearbox. and it just so happens that the game they're releasing at the end of this year contains a one of a kind pvp experience as well. that game is battleborn. it is the only game on the horizon that really stands a chance to considerably hurt destiny
