I don't get it. I have seen it all over ye forums of everyone hating thorn and it is just so dumb. Some even say that you shouldn't use it and assume you have no skill if you use it. That is pathetic. If there is a gun in a game and it is good, why wouldn't I use it? Why would I ever use something worse than something else I have? And you act like it is the best gun in the game. There are plenty better and plenty counters to it. I hope you guys will be happy when update 2.0 comes out. What will you whine about then?
After getting bombarded with crap tell me something other than it being a crutch weapon and that people who use it have no skill. It's pathetic that just because you can't counter people who use you blame your deaths in it and call people out for sucking for using it please tell me something I haven't heard a million times

11 AntwortenI agree with you ppl can use whatever gun they want I just hope they don't expect anyone to respect them

Everyone hates Thorn because it's unhealthy for the game's enjoyability and flies in the face of primary weapon balance.

12 AntwortenBearbeitet von albinomachina: 8/9/2015 9:52:00 PMLets see: OP doesn't have one character at max rank, a grimoire score of less than 1900, a negative k/d and he uses thorn? Pretty much sums up what being a Thorntard is all about if you ask me.
-
5 AntwortenYour grimrore is under 200 and you only have one 34. You don't have the right to argue.
-
Long long story, that began many moons ago... When it was bad, no one used it. When it was buffed, only people that had it knew it was good. Soon others tried using it seeing as the best players were using it and dominating. Soon almost everyone had it. After ToO came out, people were getting carried to the lighthouse and wearing the flawless emblem, thus people started despising people with thorn and that emblem; because only a small majority of people wearing it actually earned it. That and most people who use thorn actually are not good in crucible.
-
Because it takes no skill. It used to be horrible, now it broke the Crucible. No first person shooter should have one gun that 90% of players use. Also, Bungie specifically stated that they never intended to make players feel like they needed to use one particular weapon in order to perform well.
-
Cause ppl die by it a lot. The sea is so salty and filled with victimized Guardian tears .... Sobs
-
I think the gun model looks bad. Like Vex Mythoclast and Fang of Ir Yut. That's what made me never want to use it. I hate it because everyone uses it.
-
1 AntwortenYou honestly don't find the thorn in need of a nerf?
-
Because its a gun that gets alot of attention in crucible and since some people are to chicken shit to do the bounty they cry about getting killed with it, its a gun in destiny with a perk just like any other gun in destiny with a perk
-
Its the ones that hit you with it a couple times and run that piss me off. When I use it, I still stand and fight until you're dead.
-
It's not that op, it is just the fact that everyone uses it makes it seem ridiculous. Most people with it are bad shots anyway, only people who can actually aim actually scare me when someone is using it.
-
Because it is the ruin of a diverse interesting pvp.

Bearbeitet von sxdgmsmy: 8/9/2015 2:15:33 PMIt really has no downside. In the hands of an average player, the DoT may not kill you but it's enough to make you take cover and wait for the ridiculously long shield recharge. In the hands of a highly skilled player it's "plunk! Plunk!" Next target. Nothing else really has the guaranteed 2 shot kill (pulse has 2 bursts but that's pretty different, TLW has the hip fire guarantee but not always ADS). On top of that it has range for days, the DoT that shows where your opponent is, delays shield recharge, causes weapon flinch, and generally forces defensive play. Simply put, it gives you an edge in all aspects of play. You're right, why would you not use a broken weapon? So everyone does... And that's why people hate it.
-
It is bugged to give final round perk to first round fired and people abuse that bug it ToO. It's DoT actually gives aways your position after you have been hit by it as long as you are burning from it. It takes 0 skill to use and people think they are great because they use it.
-
1 AntwortenCause their stupid PvP players that don't get that PvP is dumb and pointless.(I'm trolling by the way)
-
2 AntwortenDude it fires fast af, the -blam!-ing burn is an annoying on screen animation, and usually people who use it shoot 3-4 times then hide behind a corner like little bitches and wait for the poison to finish the job

2 words Postmortem Medal I chuckle my ass off when i get a kill from the dot after i die

Bearbeitet von Borgerman874: 8/9/2015 1:22:19 PM2 shots and you run away thats why
-
It kills variety and replaces it with faux-competition It gives too much leeway with encounters Its annoying Before this with things like suros, you knew that you just spent too much time in the open and could reliably live with just pixels of health buth thorn's dot is like having an extra bullet shoved into you, slowly, bleeding like an embedded blade in the flesh From one shot... Then others use thorn because other players use thorn and so on (rant gibe rant whine)but im not a dev and cant change it so i just dont play crucible as much
-
Cause it's broken as fuck.
-
One of the highest ttks, one of the highest aim assists, one of the highest ranges for non-scouts/snipers, annoying and strong DOT. It's an incredibly strong and forgiving weapon. That's why it's hated. It's a low skill weapon with very good stats. So good it has made it a disadvantage to not use except for other exotic handcannons and the strongest pulse rifles on most maps.
-
It's just frustrating to play against. The burn is annoying.
-
Mostly just the noobs who don't have it, or salty sick of secretly using it.
-
They hate it cuz they ain't it.
