Why does everyone hate thorn?
I don't get it. I have seen it all over ye forums of everyone hating thorn and it is just so dumb. Some even say that you shouldn't use it and assume you have no skill if you use it. That is pathetic. If there is a gun in a game and it is good, why wouldn't I use it? Why would I ever use something worse than something else I have? And you act like it is the best gun in the game. There are plenty better and plenty counters to it. I hope you guys will be happy when update 2.0 comes out. What will you whine about then?
After getting bombarded with crap tell me something other than it being a crutch weapon and that people who use it have no skill. It's pathetic that just because you can't counter people who use you blame your deaths in it and call people out for sucking for using it please tell me something I haven't heard a million times

If someone knows how to use the last word then it's much better than thorn. Honestly thorn doesn't bother me too much. The last word is what gets under my skin

It's a balance issue. So many guns in this game. There should be more than 2 that are competitive in capable hands.

It's starting to get better and I have seen very few Thorns recently except in Iron Banner and Trials. Speaking for myself on why I hated Thorn, I simply didn't know what to do about it. I kept seeing it everywhere and I had no ideas on how to counter it. I had obtained Thorn shortly after HoW dropped and after using it for everything, once I had learned everything it's capable of, I learned what to do when I go up against it. For me it wasn't that I hated it really, it was that it was everywhere and I had no idea what to do. I hardly use it now and I will say that it is powerful, I wouldn't say overpowered but I would say overused. I am a little saddened by the nerf because that it the bounty that let me become better at the game's PVP. Edit: Potential lack of grammar

I finally got it a few weeks ago and can see why it is being balanced. I will continue to use it for the next month just because it is the hardest bounty exotic to obtain

I love the thorn cause when 2 or 3 people on my team have it I can steal kills with my hopscotch.

Maybe because people are tired of people using one gun the entire time.

It would be okay if only one or two people used it per match. But 3/4ths of the enemy team...

I hate it but I finally obtained the bounty last week and got the gun a few days ago so I'm going to use it.

Well it just annoys me because a lot of people use it. I don't mind getting killed by it but when half the other team is using it, it can get annoying. Same reason I dislike shotgun users. Another reason for me is because people started to bandwagon on it after it got buffed. No one used it before then it became so popular.

I understand using Thorn in Trials or Iron Banner, but using it in regular Crucible is a d*ck move. You're just bragging to everyone that you're better because you can two-shot them with absolutely no effort applied.

It has the range of a sniper rifle, high rate of fire, a damage over time effect that allows you to hide and wait for the target to die, and it has a glitch to get last round on any bullet. Plenty of reasons to not like Thorn.

4 AntwortenIt's unbalanced, no gun should be able to excel at everything. For a hand cannon, it has good stability, high rate of fire, big range and high impact. To top it all of it has lingering damage. Its broken and i don't see why bungie doesn't see it.

1 AntwortenActually, people don't hate thorn. What they do hate is the unbalanced weapon system and running into 3 or more people using it in pvp almost every single map. Otherwise, it's awesome.

People dislike it because it's quite overused at the current moment, much like Suros Regime, and Vex Mythoclast before it. It's an extremely powerful weapon, especially in capable hands. It's the go to for any hand cannon user, and also most other guardians. It's probably he most used weapon in the game at the current moment. I love it though, great gun.

But, just to clarify a couple of things... 1) Are you considering yourself to be a good or above average player? 2) Do you know how to use Thorn? 3) Do you know what a scrub is? 4) Do you know what a sports scout is? 4.1) Do you know what they look for in a player?
