Seriously, my teammates shouldn't be able to eat 3 rockets and live.
I know it sounds crazy, but there's nothing so satisfying than seeing your enemy shoot a rocket and mistakenly take out a portion of their own team.
In Halo, there was a tactical advantage to getting in close to an enemy team when they had rockets. Why? No one will shoot you (with rockets) if they will take one or two of their own kind at the same time.
Take this scenario and generalize it to supers like Nova Bomb and Fists of Havoc for maximum fun. Do you really want to use your super to clear out one enemy when your buddies are capturing a zone? You might kill one bad guy, but two of your own.
I miss these moments. At least give us the option for friendly fire. Maybe in Inferno gametypes at least?
Sometimes you just want to punch your buddy in the face and teabag the shit out of them.

Wow, it looks like this idea took off!
If this was to actually be put in the game, there would definitely have to be some kind of booting system at play.
The system in Halo worked very well. Maybe if that system were adapted to a degree and customized for Destiny it would be a fit.
And what about PvE? I think some good fashioned friendly fire could be a nice thing.
-
Hell yes they need friendly fire, then people would learn how to not crowd a single doorway/chokepoint. The only game where friendly fire would be bad is probably titanfall. Collateral damage is huge over there lol
-
they stay in my way and shall burn
-
-
Because there are people who will go around and just kill their enemies
-
Maybe people will stop walking in front of me when I'm sniping then.
-
You should put this in the feedback section, see what it does.
-
Most likely I'd snipe - headshoot everyone. My side or the other one. Why? Cuz why not...
-
When do we want it? NEVER
#bringbackthememes
-
There should be a friendly fire gamemode. It would certainly cut down on panic supers.

1 AntwortenI'd blow up my team mates on purpose
-
I wouldn't mind this as a toggle. But I have been intentionally killed via pushing during dragon strikes by asshats.
-
FoH your team :)
-
Oh yes let us give the sad little munchkins even more leeway to waste time, cost the entire Fireteam the Raid or Mission and piss the not so mentally challenged players off. Excellent idea. Tis not an entirely vacuous and ridiculous request at all. No sir. No mam.
-
You want it now? I was thinking like next Sunday or something
-
no no no no this game is frustrating enough with its lag and crap hit detection. they were letting people into lobbies with pings up to 500 milliseconds. i don't want to be on a rain of terror and a teammate kills me. maybe there could be a hardcore playlist but not in the normal lobbies.
-
yea, and then we can have all the team killing douchebags from Halo back!!!!! no thanks
-
-
Cuz people jumping in front of me as i fired a rocket wasnt enough, now they can accidentally blow me up with their own launchers
-
I don't know about you guys, but this actually sounds like a great idea to me.
-
That'd be fun. It'd definitely make communication more important in Crucible, though. I don't know how many times I've started nova bombing a control zone just as a Bladedancer comes in.
-
2 AntwortenLol I'd love friendly fire. Then again I don't value my teammates I have more betrayals in Halo than most people have kills. Sometimes out of boredom sometimes to have control of a weapon I'd put to better use regardless of which killing teammates don't phase me because end game I'm going to be carrying the team anyway win or lose if I'm at my full potential then my team is more likely to win.
-
Friendly fire, no radar, ability to boot team killers an penalize constant team killers to limited play
-
With all the trolls no
-
Yeah implement this in competetive game modes like inferno or trials or elimination. Just not normal crucible.

The later halos I believe had somewhat damage reduction to Allies to avoid accidental team killings. The problem is destiny has way to many other gameplay mechanics that have aoe cone like damage outputs. Not only would people accidentally get 5+ team killings a game from supers and heavies. Imagine the trolls... I vote no very bad idea.
