Destiny is dead. Bungie's greed killed it.
PSN/XBL achievements show 19% of players have done a raid (match made 28 PoE counts as a raid), 21% or so have hit level 20.
This alludes to the fact that about 20% of those 20,000,000 registered players (only 4,000,000 players) actually put in the 5 hours it takes to get to level 20.
Bungie also said 10% of the active player base went to the light house first week of ToO. There were roughly 180,000 individual accounts that achieved that goal. That puts "active players" (which according to Bungie is playing a minimum of 3 hours per week between all characters) at 1,800,000 or so right when House of Wolves was released.
Many players pre-ordered the season pass before Destiny even launched so they already had HoW. How many of those 1.8 million do you think honestly are going to be taken in again by Bungie's lies? I'm betting not even half. Even if every single person who was active that first week of HoW continues to play that means Bungie lost 90% of it's "active" player base (at only 3 hours per week) within 9 months of launch.
At half a billion dollars spent on the game it's a failure of immense proportions.

Only 22% of ps players who played destiny even bothered to complete a raid. In that you can include doing a level 28 poe.

The characters and people part makes no sense. Why would you buy more than one in the first place? You can easily switch them from character to character. Takes up less space

Bungie didn't kill it Activision did

*Activision's greed

All the guys below me are probably desticles.....

3 AntwortenThe numbers are going down, but they're taken from different places, so you can't exactly compare them. Sure, 16 million accounts were made, but that doesn't mean that all 16 million needed or were able to buy an Ice Breaker 5 months later. Only 300k people went to the lighthouse, but that doesn't show player activity. 1) The Lighthouse is PvP, so PvE players can't be gauged 2) Trials is HoW only, and some people don't buy DLC first week 3) Not everyone is a PvP God, so not everyone who did trials became part of that 300k figure. And finally, the number of cheaters being banned doesn't mean anything for player activity, it just shows how many people cheat. I could give an equally stable argument that the human race is dying out by giving the population of random countries in descending order.

So you mean to tell me their ar those who actually went on all three characters and bought seperate icebreakers oh mah gawd

Less people managed to go 9-0 than own 13 strange coins? I never would have guessed...

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von KannibalKlown: 8/3/2015 6:07:43 PMWhile I don't disagree with your overall premise of it dying and their being greed... The numbers don't prove anything. People beating ToO being smaller than people buying a guns means absolutely nothing. That's like saying you got nicer presents in last years Wedding than this years Chanukah: the two things are unrelated All numbers go down after release. Theirs the initial rush of people wanting it. The initial hype. Eventually you start to reach a saturation point and don't bring in new people without some new content or advertising. Number of bans going down could just mean the banned players didn't cheat anymore. Or bungie for too much hell from lawyers and parents and adjusted the threshold for banning.

After just seeing a clip of the multiplayer squadron mode in Star Wars then will say this, it's not dead yet but from September will take a hit. TTK needs to be something special to draw me away from the other new games

5 AntwortenYou HONESTLY think this game is dead already!?? No... Fallout 4, halo 5, the division, those games have not come out yet! Guess who will be playing every Friday and Tuesday... You... 9/15/15 You will also be playing like everybody else Having fun with your new subclass... Sck a dck mate. Get gud Scrub. Your #'s are invalid... Stupid post. Just delete it

1 AntwortenI have read some moronic crap in my life on these forums but this is by far the worst.
-
4 AntwortenI know you're trolling but is that 100 people stat real?
-
What? All these are different stats for different things. Not saying the player count is down, it had to be, but don't try to say I there 8 apples today and 7 oranges are there tomorrow instead. It doesn't make any sense.
-
lol your kidding right? your list increases with events that are less probably for people to obtain. anyone can create an account. then you actually have to play a decent amount to obtain coins to obtain ice breaker. then you actually have to be pretty damn good in crucible (or bribe someone) to make lighthouse. then you have to be a select few of the cheaters to be banned.
stupid post is sooooo stupid
-
Your forgot to add: How many people care - 0 Yup, looks like destiny is dead.
-
This is a joke, right?

Bearbeitet von Jeff the Cabal: 8/3/2015 1:44:34 PMDestiny in fact is dying. But your whole cheater thing is just crazy. That's a good thing for us if we have a 100 less cheaters. Beating ToO are just people who successfully beat it. There's a lot of people who didn't. That's not the number of people who were still playing that day. Same thing with trials, not everyone bought IB. A lot of people had it at the time, not to mention those who didn't have the coins for it, not buying a weapon doesn't mean the total number of people playing. in fact Destiny just hit 20 million players during May. With an average play time of 3 hours per day (this includes inactive players too)

Proof Destiny isn't dead. It's not a living being.

2 AntwortenYay...you win dumbest post of the day kid....
-
Less people are cheating, therefore Destiny is dead?
-
This logic is super flawed. Notice how the pool of players Able to do those things goes down for each selection. Any person with a copy of the game Any person who had 17 strange coins by week 3 People good enough to do magically well in PvP People that knew how to cheat in PvP People with the hardware to cheat in PvP. Your logic is super flawed pls mute yourself
-
A major event is every1 cheating?

In fairness I'd hope that the bottom 2 figures were hugely different to the ones above them.
