We changed up Trials of Osiris this weekend and rather than playing on one map for the duration of the event you saw a random cycle of the six previous ToO maps. In the Bungie Weekly Update we asked for your feedback on this so I wanted to collect your opinions here. Did you like this experiment with a random rotation or prefer mastering one map at a time? Let us know in the comments below.

It was good you guys just need to add more laps to trials. There are other maps that can be good trials maps
-
It was better, make it so the same map won't EVER be picked twice in a row.

2 AntwortenI loved it! I played trials more this week than I ever have in the past. I almost got flawless multiple times for the first time. I will absolutely continue playing trials if it stays on rotation. My only grief is that something needs to be said and done about the cheating via lagswitching or DOS'ing people out of games, and people who are charging money for flawless runs need to be banned permanently. Check out twitch and destinyelite.com. It's becoming a plague on trials. They are the equivalent of gold bots on MMO's. It's unacceptable.

It was WAYYYYYYY better. Required adaptation to each map, semi keeping the location camping to a minimum. Way more fun. Made flawless on all 3 characters less mind numbing and repetitive.

I definitely enjoyed the map rotation. It forced teams to switch up their game plans and their weapons. Different tactics were used for different maps, instead of one map being static, including everyone's inventories with Thorn and Felwinter's Lie. I would definitely like to see more Trial's map rotations in the future.

Bearbeitet von LegendaryVEX: 7/29/2015 6:04:15 AMI didn't like it at all because I kept on playing black shield and pantheon
-
I've enjoyed it as a diversion but not for every weekend. do it once in a while or just after a full map rotation for some variety to keep things fresh ;)
-
It's awesome, keep it like this! But you should definitely slowly rotate in some additional maps
-
Map rotation was much more enjoyable

4 AntwortenMap rotation was good, however, remove Pantheon from the game. Pantheon makes me think you guys just went full-retard when you decided to make stupidly linear map. (Never go full-retard!)
-
I enjoyed it. Some on my fire teams did not. Especially if we got a certain map multiple times. I also played with some friends who just got the chance to play ToO for the first time and they were at a significant disadvantage. I agree with others who think it would be good every fourth week or something similar to mix it up. It was fun tho.
-
Yes I enjoyed it very much. Kept things fresh. However, I really wish the spawns would flip at some point during the match. This, I think, would be quite fair. As most maps have a very adventagious spawn in contrast to the other.

Bearbeitet von Poop Cack: 7/29/2015 5:08:50 AMPlease add more maps to the rotation. I don't see a reason not to add other maps like firebase delphi, asylum, anomaly, twilight gap etc. If there was a reason, it's Activisions way of saying, "buy the TDB and HOW dlcs now so you can spend more money on TTK"

Bungie and cozmo, the fans have spoken loudly and clearly: map rotation was a huge hit, and must be a part of all future trials events. You guys have a chance to score big points with the community, and all u have to do is keep a change you've already made. Please, dont disappoint us Of course, there are other things we'd like to see such as spawn flipping between rounds and adding all maps into the mix, but a rotating playlist is definitely the most important one. Do your playerbase a huge favor and KEEP IT

1 Antworteni like the rotation but i like the idea of doing 1/wk for 6 wks then a mixer on week 7
-
1 AntwortenMaybe a once a month thing if anything! It was fun and entertaining!
-
Random rotation is good but needs more burning shrine cause I didn't get it at all
-
Yes yes yes yes yes! Please keep it this way it changes up the pace for players and makes thing expect the unexpected!
-
Bearbeitet von WayneDub: 7/29/2015 3:58:14 AMIt was a nice change of pace. Harder to help friends that aren't as strong in trials though.

I love rotation my group isn't the best at big maps so the weeks when it was widows court and other sniper based maps we struggled to get wins the rotation is a great way to stop people being able to just final round to 9-0, and it's nice seeing there's a glitch where you fight the same team on the same ticket, so it was great to beat then 5-3 on a sniper based map then fight them on a smaller map and win 5-0, it also forces people to shake up tactics rather than it be oh were playing a small map just triple self res and be done with it
-
Rotation was a change, and a good change but not a permanent thing I don't think, maybe after you go through each map for there allocated week then you could do a rotation eg. 6 weeks of fixed maps and then on the 7th week do a rotation?
-
Hey Cozmo! I enjoyed the map-mixing last weekend but I think that having it as one Map makes Trials feel a tad more special. I don't know why but it feels more like an event when it's just one map. Adds a touch of exclusivity. One idea that you could pass on: Have a lineup of 6 maps for 6 weeks. 1 map per week and on the 7th week feature a Trials that's rotation. So on the 7th week we get Trials rotational maps but beforehand, we get to play one map. You could do this for just 4 maps and on the 5th week have a rotation of the 4 previously featured maps. Overall, I'm leaning towards single map but I understand why map-mixing has its appeal.
-
I liked the idea of switching things up once in a while but you should make sure to be consistent in your practices. Humans are creatures of habit and having trials be consistent with one map per week is a nice perk for the game mode.

Rotation was great. It was a good way to change things up and force people to adapt to any map at any time, bringing out true skill. An additional feature which would add just as much, is the rotation of spawn points by round. By doing so, you would again bring out overall skill, instead of being handed a silver spoon which is a perk of having some spawns on certain maps.

Rotation was great and this should be how it always is. Maybe add a few more maps.
