So many people say warlocks are for noobs, WHY!?
Titans have a shield that can't be broken, and a smash that disentegrates enemy while leaving arc damage on the ground. Hunters have a freaking flaming pistol that disentegrates enemies with one hit, and a lightning blade that grants invisibility and runs around fast as hell, let alone they have throwing knives and that titans can kill a warlock with one shoulder charge. Warlocks have a bomb that half the time causes u to turn hit a wall and destroy yourself, and self revive everyone expectes once they see ur grenade. THIS MAKES NO SENSE!
Edit 1: I'm not sure that everyone realizes this but there are no spam grenades u just get a grenade like every 4-5 seconds and hope that flaming wings out of ur back scare ur enemies lonf enoungh till another greanade spawns

Edit 6: Now a whole new topic with stormcaller. Everyomes like Omg I'm so butthurt that that stormcaller.is so so so so op. No. No. No. Storm caller is Sooooooooooooo easy to shut down, full auto shotgun, full auto anything, and landfall is stupid unless ur right above so one. I'll admit g-nades are decent, but thats as far as it goes.

Hunters rule in pvp and Titans are the most useful in pve regardless of how op the warlock is they still sit in the middle

1 AntwortenPretty much the same reason people say the same thing about noob tubes and second chance (CoD). But it's more about how it's used rather than what it is. The warlock class is geared strongly towards grenades, allowing for grenade spam (noobtubing). As for self rez, it's pretty much the idea of getting an extra life.

I play every character, and every subclass depending on the situation. My main is warlock, doesn't mean I can't solo a nightfall with a half finished Titan subclass, or a pve underpowered hunter.

12 AntwortenTheir supers are good. Nova Bomb has a big blast radius, and Sunsinger (not self rez) with Radiant Skin and/or the Ram is almost impossible to kill, especially since they have OHKO melee that recharges while in their super. They also have very good grenades, one being Firebolts, which can do damage over time, and nearly kill you. They also require not too much skill (Hunters have a little more skill, even if everyone complains about them, and I know, I main a hunter). Grenade spamming, and a far range melee is also cheap.

The Nova bomb argument is complete BS. That super is underrated. It kicks ass in every game mode I've seen. Il Sunsingers combined with fire bolt are a pain. They can be countered like any super of course, but they're a pain.

It's not for noobs every class is different people just complain about everything self Rez isn't that powerful I use void walker much more

I think the reason people say they are for noobs, which I do not agree, is because of the self rez. My main was a Warlock from Day 1, at one point I had 2 at max level and was about to make a third when I was convinced by a friend to make a Titan, then ended up deleting my second Warlock to make a Hunter and have all three. My point is that I became very reliant on that self rez. My play style after so many more hours played on Warlocks than anything else was to run straight into the fray and never stop moving (more often than not using a shotgun, especially after their massive PvE damage buff), get as many kills as I could, get killed, self revive, hang back and pick the rest off from a safer distance. But that type of play spilled over into my other classes. Here lately for PvE I have purposely played on my other 2, and run Voidwalker on my Warlock to do my damndest to break myself of that bad habit. I almost always had far and away more kills, but I know my friend I always play with was tired of having to revive me almost twice as much as I would have to revive him. (We two-man a lot of stuff.) Anywho, self rez CAN very easily become a PvE crutch and give you some play style habit issues if you're not careful. I've had to work hard to break myself of those habits, mainly because I will be using the new Warlock subclass a lot here soon, and I'm about 100% positive that will not be packaged with a second life. That being said, I do not believe Warlocks overall are a noob's favorite class. All three of them have their own strengths and weaknesses, and each come ideally suited for a certain style of play, especially for PvE. Just be careful not to become too reliant on that self rez and let it rob you of embracing new opportunities for loadouts!

I find that warlocks and titans suit my play style better than the hunter does. I'm still terrible at using hunter supers effectively, especially golden gun. I guess it just seems underwhelming in pve unless you have the nighthawk on. Also, this last nightfall with void burn, obsidian mind and my voidwalker was just insane. Pretty much just carpet bombed the majority of the strike. Great fun.

So many people dont play to the strengths and weaknesses of each class. Literally the only Subclass I cant go positive in is the Sunsinger, as I havent found a decent PvP build for it.

Edit 5: I hear a lot of people complaing about warlocks being a tank class while titans are supposed to be, yet no one is complaing that titans are faster than hunters and warlocks? ;/

3 AntwortenI choose not to let a single person deter ANYONE from wanting to play what they want. Why do I play the Warlock class? The Warlock has the closest role of being a support/healer of the 3 classes Destiny offers (which of course I'm sure this will be debatable but I'm talking from personal experience) I switch the abilities around once in awhile but my primary reason for having Self-Res is in order to assure the team that we will make it through the fight and not simply because I want to stay alive. My role here is to help each and every person that plays the game to thrive no matter how long or short of a time they've been playing. I will help anyone who I come across to assure them that they can play whatever class they WANT to play, we all have our favorites! This game is here for anyone to play and the elitest few bears no part in my experience with Destiny as I keep an open mind about every individual playing. Yes, I just entered a strike, no I don't know who you are or how you play or what you're going to be doing throughout the fight but I will make sure we make it to the end no matter what the mission is (the exception being those who DO want to be lazy ; trust me, I'll know and I'll go back to orbit with a wishing intention that I could Nova Bomb your network so you couldn't play Destiny and that means just standing there and not trying to take an active role). Everyone contributes in their own way and this is how I do so. Bear one piece of advice in mind. Stop worrying about what others think, enjoy the classes you want to play and understand that we are all learning and striving but most importantly, HAVE FUN!
