It's upsetting. It is going to suck for the complainers who haven't gotten one yet when they finally do. Keep it the same and just have xur finally sell it for them. They will have ruined it themselves. The only thing that needed to happen was the auto rifle buff IMO.

I understand it's a new year and a lot of things have to be rebalanced to make way for the new weapons and armor, but for the love of god Bungie, DO NOT touch the Ghorn!! If you feel the need to rebalance every last item from year one, you should start using common sense already and put up a wall between PvP and PvE weapons!! There's no need to favor crucible stats when PvE should have priority. Since you won't make PvE the priority, separate crucible from PvE so you don't ruin anymore of the weapons. Millions of guardians feel this way, but you keep making these bone-headed decisions (I really thought it was a mistake at first, but now it just seems like you're trolling everyone by constantly ruining the weapons we love) and it really needs to stop!! I love this game so much, yet you keep making decisions that tell me you enjoy hearing guardians suffer. I bet the majority of complaints (I assume no less than 90%) that occur for "Overpowered" weapons only happens AFTER you nerf a set of weapons based on people complaining about how unfair those said weapons ruin a lot of PvP matches. You need to stop doing this constant balance changing just because people get mad about the weapons in the crucible!! Auto rifles are a core weapon for ALL fps style games. It was great way back, then you destroyed it & said it was based off of specific data from an iron banner run. The fact was that you intentionally made an IB bounty that required 20 auto rifle head shots, which forced pretty much everyone to overuse auto rifles (suros, I'm looking at you). So of course when you posted that data way back and claimed auto rifles are way too overused in the banner, you had the data to back it up.... but the fact was, YOU created your own "high usage" data because of that IB bounty. Then you said that's why you had to rebalance, so other weapons could get a chance. Now you're doing it again, but on a larger scale! Now I find out the one sacred gun in the game is getting nerfed; the Gjallarhorn. This is a terrible idea and it will be a HUGE mistake!! The one weapon we all hold sacred will lose what makes it so special!! Honestly, it's the ONE weapon which guardians hold as a sacred item (I thought you even said at one point that it wouldn't be touched). It is a great piece of weaponry that needs NOTHING new in terms of balancing. All the great clutch moments during a raid or whatever that many people have stories about, can be traced to this god-gun at some point in every guardian's career. There is literally no reason whatsoever to touch anything on it. The fact that MANY people keep pushing on when all other things in this game become stale is because either the gally makes encounters fun, or it's still a milestone or an honorary achievement/trophy for the ones who don't yet have it. Nerfing the ghorn will effectively crush a lot of people's hopes. It sounds dumb, but it is very true. People who have grown tired of Destiny, look to the gally as their light at the end of the tunnel. You may think this is starting to sound like a joke, but the fact is, millions of people who have it cannot fathom a nerf, and the ones who still need it will feel angry that the one weapon they've been pushing for since last year won't be what is was. YOU'RE MAKING A HUGE MISTAKE BY NERFING THE GJALLARHORN!! Furthermore, there is no need for the people who only play story/raid missions to suffer because you think PvP is more important. PvP is basically the only thing you keep throwing at us that has replay value (since it has matchmaking and you still refuse to put it in on raids), so of course, that's going to be the most played endgame events. If the rewards were tweaked for raids and matchmaking was thrown in, it would go from 15% of the community playing them to 80%. I guarantee it. But the point is, you can save yourselves and prevent a huge fallout by either putting up a wall between PvP & PvE weapons, or you can just leave the ghorn alone with this rebalancing. You are literally going to step on a minefield of anger if you go through with this..... this is the one weapon people will go ballistic over if you continue down this path & ruin. The only way Bungie truly listens to the community instead of the bad internal ideas is when enough people voice their opinions and concerns. If enough people tell them to leave the Gjallarhorn alone, they will, but if everyone who reads this doesn't upvote and comment and make their concerns known, the ghorn will be nerfed and it won't be brought back to the way it was. If you love your jellyhorn, let Bungie know. If you don't have one yet and you bash it (but secretly want it), please don't be a fool.... swallow your pride and make it known that you won't stand for this after not getting it.
