The Bungie dev said in the interview that the reason they want to nerf G'horn is because they didn't intend for it to be a disqualifier for people to get invited to group activity. Well, jeez, no brainer, if that's your concern, sell it on Xur like you do every other non-Raid weapon (Raid = Word, Fang, etc.)
Selling G'horn periodically would absolutely eradicate Bungie's concern without lobotomizing the unique abilities G'horn brings to content to provide other unique ways to get things done. G'horn is unique, just like Ice Breaker and others are unique. Don't lobotomize dimensions of gameplay when uniqueness can be preserved. Don't turn G'horn into just another Hunger of Crota but with Solar burn.
I've spent countless hours both enjoying G'horn use, and in helping friends do the weekly reset content to acquire their G'horns. After months of helping on a weekly basis, two guys I help most had not gotten G'horn yet, until one of the two finally got one this week, to their immense pleasure. All of that work, months, you would destroy by lobotomizing the reward? Instead, you could Xur it, and instead even the guy(s) who have worked for months, would still feel that they did the work, and they finally got one. You guys are really missing the boat.

1 AntwortenGjallarhorn is a Hunger of Crota with Solar burn? Hunger of Crota deals solar damage also, kid.

6 AntwortenIf they Xur it then everyone will be included in LfG activities!!!

Everyone needs to calm down, we don't know by how much they plan to nerf Gjallahorn, it could be by 5% or by 50%, we just have to wait and see.
-
I don't have a gally so I really don't care. The vex is a unique weapon as well but they have nerfed it 4 times so far.
-
The point of the galihorn is that it's the rarest gun and on the charts it showed galihorn far surpassing the hunger because of the fact that not everyone can get hunger and that's it is a raid exclusive weapon, thirdly it would make raids and other activities a choir and g horn a absult terrible gun, and lastly a reason that bungie like to know is that if it gets nerfed then a large amount of players will stop playing the game since there's nothing to do then, there are still day one player who haven't gotten it yet, and will say bad stuff about the game if all there work was for a gun that's ma

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von D J Kelly: 7/18/2015 10:22:54 PMWow am I reading all this correctly. G horn owners whether they EARNED it at 20 or 1000 hours now might be considering Xur selling it. WOW.

3 AntwortenAnd bring up all those weak rockets. Mainly legendary ones. Can Do more damage with a sniper which just doesn't seem right

3 AntwortenThat's how you know bunige is full of crap. If they were really worried about exclusion they would have just let xur sell.
-
We already have a big sac of exotics that don't live up to the name. Please don't nerf!!
-
Nerfing all these guns is just Bungie taking the easy way out. They are too lazy to bother fixing the real issues.

4 AntwortenOr just make good encounters like vog? u didnt need gh for that. Skill was required, not dps..

BUMP
#VivaLaGjally!
Keep the support and input coming. If Bungie does this, I've got two games waiting in the wings to bail on Destiny for. One a real long-term MMO by Chris Roberts that is going to draw my attention. This quarter will be a time for Bungie to step up and not seriously undermine the engagement.

3 AntwortenBungie wants to spread gally elitism hence the nerf and why they pulled it from his inventory yesterday
-
supposedly xur was actually supposed to be selling right now but bungie removed it from xur immediately after xur spawned. link to story:

Or at the very least, he should sell a heavy weapon exotic engram...

Bearbeitet von CarnageKit: 7/17/2015 10:01:36 PMThis game is going down the crapper fast. I didn't bust my ass working to get my gally, to have Xur sell it, or for them to nerf it. Even before I had the gally, I had no problem getting into groups through Destiny LFG, so I don't know where that is coming from. If you don't have the gally, i'm sorry but tough sh*t. Hopefully, if you keep playing you will get one. That is the point of it. You keep playing, and you get rewarded.
-
Bungie go ahead and nerf Ghally and shoot yourself right in the foot. It is the carrot in your game the best weapon, destroy its effectiveness and you destroy your carrot. There will be no ultimate weapon people keep playing to obtain. So Bungie I dare you, nerf it and see how your regular PVE players drop out and not buy your overpriced Taken King and how newbs decide its not worth playing since the Ghally won't be the hook to keep them playing.

4 Antworten"Didn't intend it to be a disqualifier for people to get invited to group activities". They basically said "We don't want to fix the real issue by making in game LFG or practical option matchmaking for endgame. So instead we're going to dance around the issue by nerfing on of the most belvoed guns in the game and hoping it will solve the probelm on 3rd party involvement with the game of which we have 0 control over."

ITS STILL THE SAME GUN YOU IDIOT.

1 AntwortenOr allow TRADING! I help people get the ghorn all day every day. I call them into raids all the time. I would gladly give up a few of mine to keep the weapons the way they are. If I would have known game makers have the ability to change the gear for better or worse I would have never played the game at all. It is sad to see that once we buy into a game thinking it is solid and find out that everything we worked so hard for is taken away.

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von SavageNKDragon: 7/17/2015 8:07:27 PMAgreed! They could sell it through Xur and reduce it's rarity enough that it's no longer the deal breaker because most could have it. I busted hump from the launch in September on to get the G-Horn and finally got it about a month and half ago. Ironically, the following week I picked up a 2nd. But it was the only thing keeping randoms from letting me join them. "Oh, you don't have a gally? Sorry man, gally's only here" despite me having completed every Raid on every difficulty regularly w/out one. I also have friends and clanmates that still don't have one after almost a year of playing that would love Xur to sell it (like he has every other exotic not Raid/Bounty specific). So now I got it and they're going to nerf it. WTF?!?! Just add in matchmaking Bungie! If exclusivity is the reason you're nerfing it, then you're doing it for the wrong reasons. Also, make it so I can talk to my matchmade fireteam without having to hit the D-pad and hoping they do the same. Hell, they made it work seamlessly in Halo multiplayer with teams, why is this so different? I have more incentive to play with people who communicate w/me. Bungie says they avoid matchmaking for Raids/Nightfalls because it's supposed to be highly coordinated...well let's matchmake and allow easy talking and quick fireteam party joining to coordinate! Frickin Gjallahorn nerf...WTF...
