Why do people use Thorn/TLW in normal crucible?
Seriously why? Why do you have to be so lame. I already have to put up with you in trials and iron banner. I really see no point in using these weapons in regular crucible.
Crucible is way less fun when 4/6 other players have thorn and the other 2 have TLW. Normal crucible is the time to have fun with legendary weapons, maybe even upgrading weapons in there.
You can still try-hard while using a different weapon guys. You would think using the same weapon every day would get boring.
Edit: There are some responses that I can live with. If it's fun then use it. But I would just think using the same weapon over and over would get boring.

4 AntwortenFor most people, losing isn't fun. Doubly so in an FPS community that is obsessed with K/D ratio. The problem is that Bungie broke all the weapons that used to keep these hand cannons in check. ...and its up to Bungie to realize that the AR damage nerf was a mistake, and to reverse it.

Well actually my thorn stays in my vault the whole time because crucible is a good way to level up weapons and I do that most of the time

Because for some reason bungie has no exchange for weapon parts and I can't get a decent roll on my weapons. I do use the jewel of Osiris from time to time.

I only run last word when I'm sniping, because I can justify it if 80% of my kills are going to be sniper headshots. Have both, loved them to death pre update, can't stand them now.

I can use my original red hand and get loads more kills, or I can use thorn for a giggle, get kills and loads of assists, I don't use much secondary infact only sniper on shores.

I quite happily level an alt in normal crucible, which means white, blue or green guns. I've won enough showdowns with Thorn users, so don't fear them, but do fear better players no matter what they carry. Personally I'm with you. I never run Thorn unless the whole other side is doing it. Iron banner a different equation. If I only used one gun I'd be bored stiff.

TLW was my first exotic in Destiny, and sat mostly unused for a while. After the infamous weapon patch of '15, and subsequent thorn revival, I switched as well... But I used TLW to wean off of it. I see now that it's pretty powerful when used correctly and love it. I def agree weapon rebalancing needs to occur, but in order to stay relevant in crucible low TTK weapons are necessary for most people.

3 AntwortenI don't use those guns as a try-hard thing. Of course, I WANT to win, but I have fun using Thorn and TLW. They feel good. I'll use Red Death once in a while too, but please believe me when I say I'm NOT going try-hard.

Have you not figured out that slaying is fun? The most popular weapons are usually the most op ones.

I suck with hand cannons so when the kill 15 people with a hand cannon bounty comes I will only use Thorn for that reason

3 Antwortenyou know you can run the entire match with any guns you want, and at the end switch for the experience. Yeah you may not get as much exp because of the kills, but you get more for a win and if you use beast guns throughout the match and at the very end (say 19000 control score, 9000 clash score and so on) you switch to the guns you want to level up, you'll see a quick rank up. I do this for all my guns, i finished a few weeks ago getting the last exotic weapon and only need about 7-9 more 365. The problem im running into now (between that and rerolls) are money and weapon parts -.- oh the struggles

2 AntwortenTlw is super fun to play with. I go for the hip fire kill like 85 percent if the time. Honestly I love hc but bungee needs to nerf then to the ground. This isn't destiny anymore it's exotic handcannnons and dumb ass matadors and pc+1s. I think there not gunna do a weapon balance paych till ttk and im.still iffy about getting the expansion. They were so quick to nerf suros. It was so op and overused it got a -blam!-in sound nerf. But they blantely ignore thorn and tlw. I don't get it. The people who ddevolp destiny DON'T PLAY DESTINY. rant over lol

You need to practice with the weapons somewhere. If you spend 3 weeks getting solid with TLW, when you try and use Thorn you'll get wrecked (and vice versa).

Because they can use whatever weapon they want? I personally don't use them too often, but deal with them. They're not a problem.

I know some people that snipe a lot like TLW as its a good counter to blink shotguns coming up on them
