So for the last 20 minutes I've been unable to play any game because my Xbox says "We couldn't get your lastest saved data"....is anyone else experiencing this?

I know this thread is four months old, but I just experienced this issue myself. Finally found out that the most recent console update wasn't actually successful. Going into the console settings and into the console info screen where it shows the latest update, I had to manually reapply the update. Once that was finished, everything started working again. May not actually be the solution for your problem, but I hope that this might actually help someone out there. I've heard of people factory resetting their box to fix this same issue, which of course will work because it's going to get your system up to the latest update. If my solution is a working alternative to those who might have to reset their box, it'll save you hours of re-downloading your games.

Xbox.com/status is your friend. I was on in early afternoon and tiny bit in evening and had no issues.
