Taking into consideration backwards compatibility and the high price of TTK it seems like a much better idea to take the $40 to game stop and buy 2-4 whole games. Not to mention game with gold this month is ac: black flag. This week I have gotten black flag, hitman, fallout 3 and red dead redemption for $40. Just take that into consideration before buying TTK

6 AntwortenI already played Black Flag on PS4, but at least they're finally giving a good game away. I usually get 4 or 5 free games for PS4 every month. I've already played everything worth playing on 360. The last thing I would ever recommend anyone do is support GameStop or the used games market. Buy Digital as much as you can. It supports the Developer who made the game you like and you usually get discounts. I'm buying the physical copy of Taken King, because I want the pack in goodies, but I'm not thrilled I have to buy it at GameStop.

the only thing that makes me hesitate is the continuation of year long exclusives because -blam!- your player-base right bungie? my only real gripe with the game. as long as it's a year it is hard to agree to give money to people content to keep me as second class citizen in this game

1 Antworten1. Backwards compatibility is only available for a few games, by the time TTK comes out it MIGHT be for 30-50 games, maaaaaybe. 2. Most decent games on the 360 I've either already bought, or played and since traded in or sold. 3. Why the flying flerp would I want to buy a few dusty old games when I could play something new, if I were to buy another game instead of The Taken King it would be a new Xbox One title, not something for the 360.

It is a lot better to wait and play games after the price has come down. The only drawback being if the game has MP and some of your friends were getting it at launch. GameStop is amazing, just wish they'd give me more for what I turn in. I got batman (new one) and Witcher 3 after turning in a bunch of games and only paid $10 out of pocket! Also, don't listen to the vile comments coming from our fellow guardians. Can't believe the hate on this forum.

Dumb thread. Dumb advice.

7 AntwortenDon't need to go buy 360 games, I still have em all!
so F you and your opinion!
I'm not sure if I'll be getting the TTK anyway, but I'm really pleased to see Xbox introducing backwards compatibility.

2 AntwortenYou mean for the price of a brand new expansion, for a current game, I can buy some old as shit games? Mind = blown.
-
3 AntwortenPlay destiny expansion or play games I have already played and beat. Also black flag was pretty bad even for a free game. Easy one.
-
2 AntwortenI can afford it so I'll buy it. I also know I got my money's worth in playing Destiny and all it's dlcs.
-
3 AntwortenWhy complain about it when you can just delete the app and sell the game back? BOOM! No more Destiny troubles for you. Think about what you post, and where, before you post it

8 AntwortenCan't wait for ps4 to get backwards compatibility... because you know they won't let that shit slide for long.

7 AntwortenThese games are cheap now but... I bought diablo 3 for $60 the day it came out. By the time i got all the gear i wanted, the dlc " D3 reaper of souls" came out for $30 and offered vanilla version of D3 for free... I was fumed.

Bearbeitet von Alfsac: 7/12/2015 11:14:15 PMI used this summer's sale to convince a friend to buy the dlc, had to buy all the games that were on sale, I refuse to pay the full price of a game just for a dlc, Id rather get full games.

4 AntwortenWhy would you post this in bungies forums that would be like you owning a restaurant and someone walking in and saying go eat here......
-
1 AntwortenDestiny is love... Destiny ... Is life It's never ogre
-
3 AntwortenNooooo people are gonna vote on the Commonly Overly Played Shitty games... Leaving great ones out of the compatibility
-
1 AntwortenI'll wait until I see some more gameplay and info.

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von Blanks: 7/12/2015 10:39:32 PMNot all games are going to get backwards compatibility REDACTED

6 AntwortenA lot won't have backwards compatibility. I would bet money on it that Activision won't let any of their games to be a part of it. There would be too much money to make in a remake of modern warfare 1. And frankly, I would dance my way to that sham of a store called GameStop to buy a remastered or special release mw1.

4 AntwortenTaking into consideration that your opinion doesn't mean jack shit to me - Ill do as I please.

Fable legends is $79 and its not even out yet.. In Australia i have purchased the digital download of TTK... it costs $69.95 $69.95 for DLC when you can buy brand new games for $9 more... That shit is way over priced and its already left a bad taste in my mouth.. the past DLC have all been a let down and if this is also the case with TTK i wont be buying anymore.. i have very high expectations after paying $69.95

You're spending the 40 bucks for an experience. Once upon a time those games you mentioned were worth 60 bucks each. Really each person is spending their money based on when they would like to play the content. Sure, you could wait a few months. And the taken king might come on sale, just like the previous expansions are now, but that doesn't appeal to everyone. I'm not bashing your way of doing things, I'm saying it's not the only way, and certainly not the best way for everyone. 40 bucks is not a lot of money. There's a lot of Things I buy for that, that get me varying amounts of enjoyment. A trip for 2 to the movies, and a visit to the concession costs 40 bucks these days, but that doesn't mean it's better for me to rent an old movie and eat microwave popcorn instead because it's cheaper. The entertainment, enjoyment, and the experience you're getting out of that money is all that matters. And that, will be different for everyone. Personally I haven't decided if I'm buying the taken king or not. I'm waiting for all the details. On release day, If I like what I see, I'll buy it, and I'll enjoy it. Nobody can tell me it's a waste of my money if I'm having a good time.

great games you got with full stories and tons of fun replayability without doing the same thing every time!
