Since a good portion of the community believes we should be awarded a "Year One" emblem to pay and casually play DLC, I'm here to explain why this reward system could be enhanced a bit. Personally, I find it ridiculous to simply be rewarded an emblem to barely participate in just a small portion of what other players have worked very hard for and be able to call yourself a "Year One" legend. Most of what is required of the current "legendary" status consist mainly of achievements that aren't really even a challenge, just a participation pledge. In my opinion, year one players who truly worked their hardest to get to where they are in this game should be awarded something a bit more. Note that I'm not saying that the original emblem should be removed, rather I am suggesting that Bungie should add an emblem for the more dedicated group of players, not keyword: elitist. Here are my requirements for the bonus emblem the true 'legendary' players would need:
HUGE NOTE:
Before reading these off, understand that I myself have not quite achieved this list alone. So don't bother claiming me to be a self entitled 'elitist' or 'no-life.' Any comments beginning with insults shall be met with similar responses. Any comments with constructive criticism without ad hominems shall be respectfully responded to.

1 Antworteni agree with all of them but lighthouse because not everyone has people to do it with who are not terrible at crucible and have similar play styles. you might reply with LFG but the people on LFG most likely play different to you and in the end it you loose the first match and they either quit or stay for the second match just to quit after that. however i do believe that crucible should take part in this triumph list so perhaps acquiring Mark of the unbroken, Sum of all tears and seventh column

It would have been more challenging. I would grind the queens bounties/variks and FWC to be rank 4
-
Oh yeah, ye one emblem. I like that. That should be a thing.
-
-
Personally I haven't completed 3-4 of them, but I'm okay with this being a requirement for an emblem. It's like a completionist emblem.
-
4 AntwortenI feel like if it's a year one emblem the only requirement should be "buy destiny before 9/14/15. Or change it to a different name.
-
1 AntwortenThis is kind of an absurd amount of tasks to complete.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von DJ LANCE: 9/7/2015 8:11:49 PMThe three characters of different classes would make this impossible for some people who have 2 of each class how about 3 maxed characters? But thank you for not making this list some elitist I have way too much time on hands kind of thing EDIT: Variks rank 4 jesus I have free time but not that much free time
-
I can dig it. Unfortunately I don't have any faction rank 4, only 3. And I am not ranking up Variks past 3.
-
1 AntwortenI would say that about 2% (I'm being generous) of all the players across the world have achieved this.

11 AntwortenMan I wish I was a 15 year old with enough free time to do this shit xD

1 Antwortencompletely agree! tired of the regs who get on a can hardly complete a raid complaining about not being able to get something with a challenge. almost everyone in this community feels entitled to every piece of content on the game. i can't believe i see people demand bungie to drop a weapon or give them lighthouse because they can't find a team to carry them there. i wish there were challenges im this game that made it almost impossible to receive an item that everyone in the community struggles to get, even if i cant get it myself.

That'd be awesome. Shame id fall just short. Would nice to have a few tiers.

2 AntwortenI see where you're going with this, but your list is very unbalanced. Some of your requirements are difficult while others require little to no effort at all. Three lighthouse visits is a tall order for some folks, and above rank 4 in EVERY faction? What about those who chose to commit to a single faction and are say level 50+ in that one faction? Flawless raider is a tough one too. Conversely, 30 patrols and 30 public events is literally nothing at all, you could do that in a couple hours. Maxing only one exotic is super easy as well. Choose only one needed out of both hard mode raids or 35 Poe? Why not all of them? You're already asking for flawless raider.... Like I said, I understand the concept, but your list is no good IMO

1 AntwortenI violated the Code of Conduct and was met with Ninja Justice.

3 AntwortenSo farming ghosts makes you legendary? The rest is quite difficult for most players of destiny. I would say maybe 5% of the people that bought Destiny can do this, but the grimoire should be a non-factor. Top 5% is a major accomplishment and the rest would accomplish that. ToO is tough though, but plenty out there who can carry haha

1 AntwortenIf they approved your request and granted people the emblem then someone else will come along and make a request for another emblem with stricter requirements. I get what you're saying but it's just an unending cycle. I think Bungie did this emblem thing to form a sense of community with year one players and not to single people out.
-
4 AntwortenFunny how you base all the requirements just below what you have done lol
-
5 Antworten3 light houses visits. That's dumb as hell. With how glitchy and unbalanced trials is that is a dumb one.
-
7 AntwortenThe problem with this is that for some people, as good as they are or as much as they play, simply don't have teams to complete these things. It's very hard to go to The Lighthouse or do a flawless raid when you're with random people you aren't sure how to communicate with. There are plenty of people who are great at PvP, and have put in many hours running raids or trying to get all the exotics and still can't find a stable team that they work well with to beat the hardest parts of the game,
-
3 AntwortenI agree with all except the grimoire and flawless.
-
3 AntwortenNo. Just...no. Your list of requirements is disjointed and unreasonable, specifically in the PvP area. Majority of the community don't even play PvP. So to require 3 lighthouse visits and 1 IB rank 5 alienates pretty much 70% percent of the active community. Time played in Destiny should be the mark of "being legend", not bullet points of a bunch of things some people have no care to take part in.
