Why do Warlocks get the Ram?
The Ram provides warlocks extra armor. Because of that, they can survive things other classes cannot, including even a golden gun shot. Now, last time I checked, Titans are supposed to be the "tank" class of destiny no? Why do the warlocks, who already get ranged melees, ranged supers, self resurrection, and blink, among other tricks, get the extra armor? Shouldn't the Titan get the extra armor? After all, many Titan abilities require you to get very close to your opponent and they cannot blink. Then there is also the bubble, Titans REALLY need extra armor for that to be of any use, because purple bubble becomes purple super attractor.
So, why do Warlocks get the extra armor exotic, but not Titans? Did Bungie forget Titans were the heavy armor tank class?
Let me add this point in about the Ram though: It boosts your armor in iron banner and trials of osiris, but I do not know if it makes any kind of difference inside regular crucible.
Edit: Ok, after reading all of the comments, apparently being able to survive a golden gun shot depends on the distance of the shooter. This is because golden gun has a damage drop off, something I was not previously aware of.

11 AntwortenWarlocks are the "mage" class in destiny. They usually have the ability to buff themselves to a high lvl of defense to offset the fact that they normally cannot take much damage. It how most mage jobs operate, well the support class ones anyways. Suprised they didnt get something like this sooner. Ram vs Defender AoL. Which is stronger?

Even if their Supers are powerful, they're still easy to be killed whilst using them. Whereas Titans have a Bubble which gives them an extra Shield. And even if they are vulnerable during Fists of Havoc, as you said, they are the "Tank" Class. And Hunter's are easy to kill during Golden Gun, but what're the chances of us killing them before they shoot you with the Gun? And Arc Blade, their shield and health comes back faster, and they can already rush after you with their majestic blades.

8 AntwortenBeing a mainly Warlock player I would say The Ram was simply a new DLC helmet that was overhyped and that people use because they think it's good but then cry and complain when they find they still get killed just as quickly as every other character because they think this extra armour should survive supers and lots of thorn shots and DoT.

20 AntwortenIt doesnt make you a tank. Its not much of a change for armor and the healing takes 3 seconds to recharge. Its not OP at all and its easy to get. [spoiler]go on a warlock and buy a couple exotic helmet engrams like xur sold the last 2 weeks. Turn them in and enjoy you regular old awesome helmet[/spoiler]

Warlock got good exotics this time because most previous exotics were pretty pants. Titan already has a selection of awesome exotics to use. But they still can't survive a golden gun shot not without supering or something to give them a temporary armour buff when you shoot.
