Why do Warlocks get the Ram?
The Ram provides warlocks extra armor. Because of that, they can survive things other classes cannot, including even a golden gun shot. Now, last time I checked, Titans are supposed to be the "tank" class of destiny no? Why do the warlocks, who already get ranged melees, ranged supers, self resurrection, and blink, among other tricks, get the extra armor? Shouldn't the Titan get the extra armor? After all, many Titan abilities require you to get very close to your opponent and they cannot blink. Then there is also the bubble, Titans REALLY need extra armor for that to be of any use, because purple bubble becomes purple super attractor.
So, why do Warlocks get the extra armor exotic, but not Titans? Did Bungie forget Titans were the heavy armor tank class?
Let me add this point in about the Ram though: It boosts your armor in iron banner and trials of osiris, but I do not know if it makes any kind of difference inside regular crucible.
Edit: Ok, after reading all of the comments, apparently being able to survive a golden gun shot depends on the distance of the shooter. This is because golden gun has a damage drop off, something I was not previously aware of.

Best part about it is a warlock was asking for the extra jump boots get nerfed because they were OP.

You seriously think warlocks can survive golden guns cos of it. Lol. If a sunsinger uses radiance with radiant skin on, ram or no ram, he can survive a golden gun shot but thats it

You can survive a sticky grenade in regular crucible with it so yes it affects regular crucible

9 AntwortenUsing Dire Skull of Ahamkara I have survived a Golden Gun shot mid super. Titans can survive just about anything mid super (Striker). Hunters can kill enemies at both ends of the map with their mobile supers. All of the three classes are balanced with one another. There is no doubt about it. Bungie did not just whip all the classes up in one night, they were carefully thought out and put together. Sure, some armor helps out in better situations, but there are always ways to counter its benefits. Titans are very hard to kill in there Ward of Dawn with Armor of Light and a shotgun, so you don't go near them. If you see a Warlock using Sunsinger and The Ram (for some reason) prepare for it and use two of your Golden Gun shots, or one with a grenade, or run. Classes are balanced and even more balance d with the addition of a third customizable subclass. Don't ask for armor to go away or change because it won't. Focus on countering certain strategies. Warlock main here. Here's my proposal, considering that the Ram was intended for voidwalkers, the extra armor should only be given to that subclass. Voidwalkers are [b]extremely[/b] squishy as they are and actually need the armor boost. Sunsingers abuse the added bonus of the Ram allowing them to tank quite a lot.

7 Antwortenwhy don't you just make a warlock an enjoy it? Warlocks were always the weakest since you have to trade so much armor if you want any agility or recovery, they needed this, consider in Poe when you have to dismantle mines, Titans can pop a bubble, Hunters can go invisible, Warlocks just had to soak up bullets and die (then you can respawn IF you are a sunsinger and IF you have the ressurect perk active)
