Crucible Control - Twilight Gap with commentary
Made this video for my clan to understand how I went 23-1, explaining all my choices during the match. Figured I would share it for others outside the clan as well (I don't make money off this video so I'm not looking for views to = dollars, just sharing my tips).
Edit 2: I'll do more videos but use only legendary gear so (1) it's more applicable to a wider cross-section of ppl since not everyone has certain weapons/armor and (2) it requires more skill but will show how decision-making is more important than the gear.
Edit 1: For those who don't understand how the Control game type works in Destiny you get more points per kill for each additional control point you hold.
You can win without holding a single control point but will need much more kills.

Neutralize control point = 25 pts
Capture control point = 75 pts
Standard kill = 100 pts
Kill with 1 control point = 150 pts
Kill with 2 control points = 200 pts
Kill with 3 control points = 300 pts
You get additional points per kill for grenades, supers, assists, etc.
By not dying 10 times and having a respectable k/d of 2.3 (23-10), I denied the opposing team a minimum of 1,250 pts.

2 AntwortenAs someone who's not highly skilled at crucible I really enjoyed the video and the commentary. First off I've struggled with maps like Twilight Gap because I'm not the best at reading the radar, but when you explained it in the video I think I finally understand the color differences. I've been watching a ton of videos and learning strats and it's really paying off (I've pushed my HD from 1.04 to 1.17 in the last week). One of the biggest things I got from this video is the way you identify targets capping zones and decide how to attack them. I sacrifice a lot of deaths by rushing enemy caps and heavy but I see how you did it and that looks like a much better method. So just a quick question...what gear were you using? Obviously you had TLW, but what sniper and launcher? Kinda looked like an Ash Factory, but I just dropped mine last night and have yet to use it. Anyway, great video and thanks for sharing!!!

I agree with most of the commenters it is helpful to see how good players go through a decision progression. I would like to see another with a more worthy opponent. I would suggest that in the future it would be helpful not having the background music. It makes it harder to hear what you're saying.

3 AntwortenI went 23-1 this iron banner as well. My death came in the last 10 seconds of the match... Ruined my Mark of the Unbroken. I was pisssssed off. Now that I think about it, still kinda am pissed off. DAMN HEAVY AMMO X-D

But this is like watching a tennis match between Nadal and a 5 year old kid. Do you really enjoy this? For me it only shows how unbalanced this whole pvp thing in Destiny is. Wouldn't it be much more fun for you to compete with players that are equal to your skills? I just don't get it. If I was such a good pvp player like you I would be bored after 3 matches. Your opponents die and don't even know what hit them. Is there no game in which skilled pvp players fight each other?

(first day back was 2 days ago). your patience served you well and the tips were nice. especially since im not a shotgun/HC user very often i cant just run into firefights. EDIT: i dont know if you have other vids but i wouldnt mind checking them out.

1 AntwortenNice gameplay, excellent commentary. I wouldn't have made some of those decisions to back away so quickly - I play very aggressively and sometimes make stupid mistakes - but this video was interesting to watch. I might apply some of those techniques to my play style.
