I appreciate the offer of buying the 3 listed bonuses:
+Three Class Specific Emotes
+Three Armor Shaders
+Three Exotic Class Items with XP Bonuses
⭐The issue is why are only these 9 things worth the total value of an entire DLC Expansion such as Dark Below or House of Wolves or even half the price as Taken King?
These bonuses are worth $5 at most.

1 AntwortenI think the thing people are mad about is that the ENTIRE Dark Below or HoW cost $20, and these 9 items cost the same $20 it doesnt seem right, does it? Not sure what the heck the people at Bungie are smoking, but it seems to really cloud their judgement. For every 1 white knight who defends Bungie for this, there are a dozen people who realize this for what it is, a blatant money grab. I'm just expressing what I see when reading multiple gaming sites and gaming forums comments and reviews about this newest Destiny Debacle I really love this game but man are they making it hard to defend them

You're forgetting the additional 3 exclusive Vanguard weapons.
-
Yes it's over priced but can't we just be happy they did something they said they wouldn't do. They said it comes with the CE and that's how it was staying. Now they took it back to make us happy but no we all gotta bitch like a bunch of spoiled brats....
-
The price was set to troll us. It was 'transactional semantics'. No matter what we have to pay $60 for everything. Activision being cute.
-
Just don't buy it, I'm sure as hell not paying $20 for a couple cosmetics. It's like the Asshat himself said, it's about to player's assessment of the value-- I don't find value in $20 cosmetics, so I won't be buying them.

Scrubs gets -blam!- by Bungie and don't care about the over price crap hahaha where's the lube

4 AntwortenThe destiny community is truly tull of morons. I am starting to think most of you guys have never played any other games that have some kind of microtransactions.
-
1 AntwortenI bet you don't like thorn. I bet PvP is to hard for you. Shut up douche bag. Nobody cares
-
Always crying you little bitches First buhuu we want the new...not necessary stuff!! Without rebuYing stuff.. And now...buhuu i don't want to pay all this money... Don't want to pay 20? Then don't and shut up
-
If you don't like it, then don't buy it. Besides, with any luck, as the game gets older, it'll get dropped in price anyways.
-
19 AntwortenOh yeah this is what? Some arbitrary price you came up with? How's this... I have money and support this company. Grow up and get a job.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von VexGrayWolf: 6/27/2015 6:55:09 AMTechnically it's nine things not three, I think you forgot to do some of the math.

19 AntwortenPersonally i dont think that they are worth the same amount as the dark below or house of wolves, but does that mean the items were overpriced or that the dlcs were underpriced? Im being serious how much money does it take to produce these im not a developer. They should have just made the dlcs $30 and these items $10 that seems more fair, if they did that they wouldnt have a revolt on their hands like they do now.
probably took them 2 days to make the special edition items as a guess
-
4 AntwortenWhat did you think they would do. It's a thinly veiled microtransaction
-
13 AntwortenIt's cosmetic and collector's stuff. If you care about the game that deeply and want to have this COLLECTORS content, buy it. If not, don't. Simple as that. That is literally as simple as it gets. Bungie values it at $20, it's $20. First you were whining about how we had to rebuy the game, now you're whining about how much they cost after they give us a solution. Honestly, shut up and stop whining.

8 Antworten
Forum logic: " I dont want to buy THE SAME GAME AND TWO EXPANSIONS OVER AGAIN TO GET THE COSMETIC ITEMS you should totally let us buy them separately" After they let You buy them separetaly: WTF BUNGIE WHY DO THE COSMETIC ITEMS WE TOTALLY DIDNT ASK TO BE ABLE TO BUY SEPARETLY COST SO MUCH!?!?!?!??!?!??
4 AntwortenYou're getting them at their original value. That value is drastically lowered specifically because they took away the exclusivity for you whiners. Is the price convenient for you? Hell no. But it's just as inconvenient for the employees who have to come up with something new to satisfy the digital CE pre-orderers, and you're already getting a compromise to halfway between what you and Bungie want(You can get the content but you have to buy it at what the CE pre-orders were paying for it). There's a point at which you're asking too much and won't get anywhere. This is that point, and refusing to acknowledge that is only going to make them listen to the playerbase less no matter how much you think you've been wronged.
-
Agreed! The dlc and the special items should be $30 for all veteran. We must go to https://twitter.com/Bungie And let bungie what we veteran feel
-
Nobody is forcing you to buy it. Basically you're just crying about the price because you don't have enough money to get the things you want. You live a sad life.
-
The fact people just target bungie is frustrating. Are we really forgetting who the publisher is and most likely the ones behind the prices? Activision. Either way idgaf, I have hope for this expansion and I'm gonna wait for more details before buying it. I have to see what these cosmetics are before I decide if I want to buy it or not. (I know what they are, I have to see them to know if I want them) I have a job and I don't play many games due to lack of interest. This is one of the very few games that have kept me interested (for more than a few months) in a long time.

4 AntwortenMost games charge $1-2 for a single skin. They're offering 9 items, some of which are much more complex than a simple gun skin, at $2 each it would be $18. The $20 they're asking for is pretty much right on par with industry standards, so I really don't get why people think it's such an outrageous price point.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von OTAKU_4_LIFE_907: 6/27/2015 5:41:57 AMHaha im sorry i didn't realize u worked for bungie and had the ability to offer how much value something is, maybe to u those things are worth 5-10 ( or maybe thats all u can afford) but to others its well worth 20 bucks hahah when theirs new dance moves being introduced, u can be sure people will throw their money at the screen hahaha its worth it, ur just a cheapskate. Next thing ur going to say is ttk isnt worth 40$ it should be free haha entitled children all over again just leave destiny already so tired of u entitled children trying to make destiny into a cod game or something. Black ops 3 is coming out soon leave and play that game cause its so refreshing and new and totally doesnt do the same thing destiny is doing lol 😂

1 AntwortenThe issue is not so much about the cost but about the value. I paid $35 and I received all the content from TDB and HOW. For only $ 15 less I could buy a bunch of cosmetic do dads. No thank you. I will pass.
-
That is a bit too much. In comparison of other dlcs, people got: New exotics PoE Trials New campaign missions New strikes New armor New weapons and perks Crota raid 20$ for cosmetics is too much. Heck minecraft gave me a skins pack for .99 cents-2$ if I remember correctly. Came with killer instinct and dragon age skins.
-
The math says that each item individual costs $2.22. Now it wouldn't have been bad to sell them as micro transactions for each, but bungie's best interest is money so ultimately the consumer loses. My view is buy it if money isn't an issue just like a rich man gets his meals from a 5 star chef instead of denny's. I am personally the one who will be getting there meal at denny's and will most defiantly passing on this rip off.
