It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize how next to worthless the Titan Bubble is in Crucible. If we're being honest, it's impossible to deny.
Essentially, every other Super can either counter the Bubble or destroy it out right. This wouldn't be so bad if the Bubble had some sort of an offensive component to it, but it doesn't. Frankly, I'm confused why an "indestructible" Bubble can be dealt with by every Super in the game and then some.
How underwhelming.
Even with Armor of Light, one grenade and one shotgun blast kills you. A few shotgun blasts kill you. A Hunter can kill you from underneath the Bubble with his lighting attack. So, what's so "defensive" about the Bubble in the first place?
Oh, I get it... There's that one time when you saved your team from a rocket attack... Congrats, you just used your Super effectively in a situation that occurs %2 of the time. Meanwhile, a Hunter and Warlock just got a triple kill 3-4 times in that same game.
Cool, you used your Bubble to Revive your downed teammate. Now watch what happens when you decide to step outside the two foot radius that is your Bubble. Dead.
Face it, the Bubble (and Titans in general) needs a buff.
Don't be an idiot, buff the Bubble.

Pop it on a control zone

If it needs a buff in crucible then it needs a nerf in pve. It's fine the way it is being the best for pve and worst for pve.

2 AntwortenBubble: worst pvp super and bests pve super Golden Gun: best pvp super and worst pve super Quit you whining and use striker

7 AntwortenI don't know... I've seen quite a number of Titan Defenders who really know how to use their Ward of Dawn to great effect. Even saw one curb-stomp a Bladedancer out of his Arc Blade hilariously fast. On another occasion, I've even seen a Titan completely neutralize a Novabomb by activating Ward of Dawn right before impact. Maybe you're just not competent enough as a Titan.

The problem is that the WoD is a defensive super and the Crucible is an aggressive game, therefore there are are unstoppable forces but no immovable objects
-
You could use blessing of light. Pop the bubble and go kill with your extra shield and then go back to replenish the shield. Don't stay in the bubble....repeat don't stay in the bubble.

Was in a match with BoL and someone else had AoL and we both put our bubbles on a control point and I watched a blade dancer hammer away at me for at least ten seconds before I put him out of his misery. Best match of my life :P

I think a great idea for a new exotic Titan perk would be: Damaging a Titan's bubble reflects damage back at the attacker.
-
what if there was a perk that made everything reflect off the bubble. That would be cool

5 AntwortenThe problem with the bubble is that it's way too situational. It's main point is to defend, however it does a poor job of defending against everything else, specifically supers. Every super counters it except sunsinger. Being the only defensive super, you'd expect it to be better at its job. It's good against weapons, but once a another super enters the equation, it's useless. I think it'd be interesting if supers simply shortened it's duration based on numbers of hits instead of being destroyed instantly. Similar to how it can go away fast in PvE if hit a lot. Or at least that's how i think it works. I remember fighting septiks prime and the bubble went away quick from being under sustained damage of its melee. Ideally, it probably already works that way, at least i know its going on damage threshold, seeing as though 2 golden guns destroy it. Idk. Bubble is tricky. It needs to be tougher against supers but shouldn't be invincible leading to so many stalemates.

Nova Bomb/FoH takes out bubble and everything inside. Crota/Atheon can't penetrate bubble. Use a Nova Bomb/FoH against Crota/Atheon = your immediate death. Makes sense.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Jake: 6/15/2015 4:32:22 AMHey. I already drew some really smart mechanics and changes for Ward of Dawn, which were interesting and made it a worthy ability. I was planning on posting about them with the graphic concepts, but last time I made a post like that, I was hated on by quite a few narrow minded people. Therefore, I didn't bother sadly. The sad thing is that I wholeheartedly support this game and therefore I wanted to speak out to help the game develop but it's the community that really hit me hard when I was applying my profession to their 'loved' game. I support that the Ward of Dawn requires a change. J.

I love running bubble in PvP...pop that thing down on a flag or heavy ammo and your set
-
Weapons of light , one body shot with sniper , enough said

Not great at pvp. Best pve super. There's ur balance. It's kinda like gunslinger. Gunslinger is great at pvp but awful in pve. Some supers are meant for different scenarios that why u have the striker sub-class.
-
Armor is amazing with a full-auto shotgun + ACD gloves. You can farm orb easily by placing the ability to drop more orbs if fired upon "even if they kill you with a super you drop an additional 3 orbs for your teammates".
-
The only thing I ask is that the bubble be made unpopable. Any other super can instantly destroy it, which is totally unfair.
-
1 AntwortenAhahahah buff? If you were indestructible in there then it would be op. Also an offensive mechanic with it? Try weapons of light.. Plus its even the DEFENDER subclass

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von karso: 6/15/2015 4:14:09 AMTitan exotic helm The fortress "The key to a good offence, is a good defence" Exotic perk name- idk couldn't think of anything cool lol Ward of dawn time is reduced to 10 seconds but can be fired out of from inside. There that's a good fix
-
3 AntwortenThe bubble would be better if it was more like the Relic shield in VOG, you can shoot out, but it can't be penetrated. Now that sir would be an awesome super.

Try weapons of light with high impact sniper, 1 hit body shots
-
The Ward of Dawn is, without a doubt, the weakest PVP super in the game. It is really only useful when you are running with a coordinated team.

Bruh run weapons with a high impact sniper. So good :D

3 AntwortenUse it to cap control points. Use it as a super magnet...if they super your bubble they cant super your friends.
