6 AntwortenI have kids. Destiny is my escape from the day to day.
-
Yeah, tell me why? I'm mature, don't have a squeaky voice (or even a mic) and I have raided vog, crota, done PoE, went Flawless in trials (just once, its hard when there are 6 devices connected to the same Wi-fi) I play well, I do know what to do in all the raids, so why am I rejected as well?
a serious response, is it just a stereotype that young always equals annoying mindless "squeaker"?
If I wanted to play with a kid I would play Lego star wars.

Consensus. -majority of 'squeakers' voices are annoying to listen to -majority of 'squeakers' say they know it all, when they don't. -majority of 'squeakers' make the minority of squeakers look bad. Just the general consensus.
-
Because they're so damn annoying.
Also, they're sticky
-
Becuz your squeaking makes me wanna freeze dry my own nips

1. High pitch sounds annoy me. 2. Most adults are better than most kids, you have to play the odds. 3. Why do you have to fill every silence with nonsense? 4. Make your decisions. Don't ask me what you should do every five seconds. 5. It's a game with teen rated content and unrated online interactions. Why are you messing around with something unrated before you've even learned what "messing around" is? 6. If you add me because I'm a good player and randomly join me, I will find you faster than Liam Neeson. 7. If you don't know what the truffle shuffle is, don't talk to me.

People need to understand that they were once kids and pretty sure they wouldn't like it if no one would accept them in raids etc... I do my fair sure of helping out no matter age... Its just a game

Bearbeitet von Jeb_Bush: 6/21/2015 10:22:35 PMLet me begin by explaining something called the law of averages. It states that within a given population, samples follow a traditional, predictable bell curve. Companies use this in marketing to average their sales from buyers and understand that if they keep selling, a predictable number of people will buy. This principle exists everywhere. Even Destiny. For Destiny, the law of averages will state for us the simple understanding that the majority act their age. Most likely, 20 year olds will act 20. 15 year olds will act 15. And 10 year olds will act 10. I've given as many chances as I can to kids, but a breaking point has to be reached eventually. When I'm lied to on lfg about what checkpoints they're on because they really needed someone to join, or someone is dicking around and think they've found the ultimate cheese spot and proceed to get slaughtered, I am left with a sour taste in my mouth. For that reason, it's better for me to play my odds against kids. Sure I'm going to meet shitty adults or excellent children. That's the unpredictable part of sociality. Let me clarify. I don't care how mature you are. I don't know you if I grab you from lfg. And you don't know me. Our interaction will never matter beyond playing a video game. I will not actively recruit anyone and just give them a chance because I do not want to waste the extra time where we're all getting frustrated at the expense of someone who is goofing off and complains about the failure. This trait is in adults. This trait is in kids, but the law of averages will always confirm for me that it is primarily in kids. I do not care how mature you really are. It's not me. It's not you. It's natural.

1 AntwortenAge doesn't matter. Maturity does.

7 AntwortenThe forum rules state the forums are for people 13 years of age or older.... So, if ur younger, u might not want to be in here

Because most kids are annoying and don't listen....

8 AntwortenI'm 14 and have no problems with kids below my age as long as they aren't too noisy. I've raided with a full group of 'squeakers' once and honestly, If I muted all of them, it's as if I were playing a raid with all adults. Its a stereotype most people like to believe. I've been called 'kid' or even 'toddler' once but throughout the activity, they started apologizing because without me as a relic holder in VoG, they wouldn't have made it.

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von Kolacheater: 6/21/2015 5:39:07 AMI'm thirteen, and I hate to live in a generation where kids are exposed to bad things at an early age. I'm really glad I choose my friends wisely, in this age of kids. These idiots either need to shut up or quit playing. If they can't stop screaming when they die, or brag about their .69 KD ratio, or talk about how many girls they've picked up, I'm just done with this, I'll build a time machine if I have to. Anything to be in a place where kids my age will just grunt when they die, say sorry for doing bad in a game, and be respectful of people behind the screen. I've managed to pick up a few people on LFG that are around my age and are pretty mature, never cuss. A great group of friends they are. Other times, when I get cussing squeakers AND adults, I just turn off my mic and say "screw it."
-
You're annoying and stupid. When you grow up you'll see why.
-
Because they can?
-
Depends on the situation and their behaviour. I'm reluctant many have said it can be annoying as hell. My mate for example was in a raid group and invited some people from a forum. Got someone who unknown to them was a kid but said mic wasn't working but could hear and experienced. Rest of group chatting as normal adults do. Next thing he and the others are getting abusive/threatening messages from the other persons mother, yep mother saying she was listening to them and their language is shocking and she is recording it and will report them... Besides the fact they replied with even more flowery language, they pointed out she is the parents and it's not a game for kids. One did get a ban for a couple of days - whether it's related I don't know.
-
Maybe talking every second...? And/or your voice is annoying/ your annoying
-
Its your voice. Its exhausting hearing that the whole day. I'm sorry.

Oversharing is my first and foremost reason why I hate squeakers. - "OMG I JUST DIED!" Yes. You did. I was there. We all were there. - Telling random stories about people that have nothing to do with the game or any conversation topic. I don't care that you broke your arm last year unless it has something to do with the game. - Telling me everything about the game as if I'm a noob. I've been playing since the alpha. I got this. After that comes poor decision making skills and being a solo player. - i.e. Running off and not telling us your plan, which wouldn't have worked once you tell us and you died. Easily would've saved us time. - Bringing along Rare level weapons and using them because you like the design. I don't care that you don't have a Gjallarhorn, but bringing weapons that just suck is a bad decision. - Trolling people because they don't let you have your way. Little kids do this so damn often, it's not even funny. Basically, don't act like a kid: - loud, disrespectful, swearing to sound cool, trying to impress other gamers, lying about stupid shit ("I know this celebrity! I'm super rich! I was at this obscure event!"), talking to other people in your room constantly over the volume of the game/chat, bragging, getting overly excited about everything, chewing loudly into the mic. The funniest part is that they hate all that stuff when they're on the receiving end, but have no problem being rude to everyone else.

Because I don't want to spend my free time talking to children, there is a name for people who do.

I'm only 17 but most kids I run into are kinda annoying, it's not the voice it's just... How they are I guess hard to explain lol
-
3 AntwortenBecause alot of kids shriek like banshees, won't shut up and can't follow instructions. Now if you are an exception to this, I'd gladly play with ya.
