There are a lot of people, including myself, who don't have a lot of time to play Destiny. And when i do have time, it's rather difficult to round up friends to do the more advanced end game levels and raids and this is the only way you might get Etheric light to max out your gear and weapons and reach level 34. Since Bungie has a ridiculous policy on not allowing matchmaking for much of their more advanced content getting Etheric light is going to be a huge struggle for a lot of people. And the random nature of the Etheric drops will inevitably lead to a percentage of players hopelessly stuck on 32. Before HoW you could at least grind for crucible and vanguard marks and then buy gear and weapons to break down to max your gear out or grind in iron banner.
There really needs to be a better way to reach max level. I still love Destiny, but this is just bad game design. I guess i won't be playing as much Destiny as i hoped.

Iron banner gives 2 EL if you grind to rank 5
-
You can literally play this game one week out of the month for iron banner and get all your characters to 34 playing solo.

14 AntwortenAnother elight post sigh wtf it takes this Week 1 time 30 minutes Poe 28 Poe 32 get gear from variks Next week poe 32 Next week poe 32 Now your a 34 in gear Now run 34 to get elight Now your weapon 365 If you can't run that than Maybe destiny is the wrong game for u
-
It's almost laughably easy to get to 34. Just do like a nightfall a week and iron banner or something: buy whatever gear variks is selling

www.the100.io The 100 is an awesome site, great for the busy Destiny player. Your able to set up game sessions hours even days in advance. Pick a group that best fits you.
-
If you could grind in Iron Banner before you can do it again. 2 etheric light right there. Add in 32 PoE and any trained chimp can do it. You're just being deliberately dumb. 34 is so easy it's pointless.
-
1 AntwortenYou can still grind for marks and in the IB for gear and etheric light are you stupid? Also, it takes literally about 2 minutes for me to start a full raid group so I don't see what the hell you're talking about there. Lastly, if you don't have enough time to run the endgame content, then it isn't made for you.
Forgot about this, but etheric light isn't hard to get at all. Over half of the people who got the House of Wolves DLC when it firsts released reached 34 in the first few days.
#noexcuse play lvl 32 PoE and get the damn armor... How hard is that.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Duhawk1: 7/20/2015 6:30:47 PMGetting to 34 is as easy as: 1) Play level 32 prison of elders, get armor core for one of Varik's armor pieces. Use lfg some night. Will take a half hour. 2) Ascend an exotic armor piece. No time commitment, just an exotic shard and some glimmer. Now, bingo! You are 33. 3) Play level 34 prison of elders once this week, once next week. They might take another half hour each. Use the two etheric lights you get to Ascend your last two armor peices. Eureka!! You're 34. For an hour and a half of your time, divided between two weeks, you could be a 34. Edit: Oops, I see this is an older post. You may have already got to 34 by now.

Join a clan and maker arrangements with people ahead of time.

3 AntwortenYou say you have very little gametime, so you cant reach 34... Well maybe play the game more? Not like a typical fat, white american kid. No, im not saying sacrifice ur soul to master rahool, just a little more so u can do content Dont blame the developers for expecting you to play the game to progress...

10 AntwortenI realize this post was from almost 2 months ago, but damn. You say you play Iron Banner, boom 2 etheric light every time. Just a few hours a day for a week. PoE 32 is not hard for a lvl 32 player. You get an armor core every week for completing it. Boom in 4 weeks all lvl 34 gear.
-
And Amish people are stuck at lvl 1, still not bungies fault.
-
Nightfall, prison, trials, the light is there and the lower level prison runs aren't hard at all, grind iron banner when it's here you can get two on each character.
-
Lol you can still grind iron banner for lvl 34. Get that etheric light.
-
Takes like an hour to lfg and do a 32. Armor core. Problem solved. They do need optional matchmaking though. If your on ps4 Little Big Light is recruiting. It's an active clan. We ask that you actually play the game if you join though. Like once a week at least, we don't need ya to live on it.

6 AntwortenIt's so much easier to level up now. Remember the vanilla forever 29s?
-
If you are on Xbox One shoot me a message gt is twisties
-
2 AntwortenBungie's continued insistence on a lack of matchmaking for so many of its premier activities is dumb. Dumbdy dumb dumb.
-
Hey man if you're on xbx1 I can give a hand on poe 32 & 34?
-
PoE doesn't take too long
-
Iron Banner can get you 2 etheric light per month per character, no need to have a team to do that. Weekly Nightfall has chance to drop etheric light as well and most weeks it's not too hard to solo it, then there's PoE and Trials, so both pve and pvp players can get to 34. It has never been so easy to get to max level so I don't get why anybody would be bitching, even the activities that need you to find other players only requires you to find 2 other people instead of the 5 you needed for raids. Before house of wolves only way to get to 32 was through the raid (or eventually through iron banner assuming you wore an exotic helm and got the one 36 light piece of gear offered each month) and now there's a bunch of ways to do it, and if you really can't do ANY of the above you still aren't going to be stuck at 32 indefinitely because the level cap will be raised again in September with taken king and then it'll be easy to get to 34.
-
Run the poe 32 once a week and get armor cores, and then purchase armor.
-
Just go on lfg. Takes ten minutes to find a full raid group.
-
Im sorry but if youre saying put matchmaking in 35 prison... I wanna see you try doing skolas with randoms :)

Welcome to the struggle. #forever29
